Lakin court martial judge Pentagon Prostitute?, Colonel Denise R. Lind

There are plenty of pimps and prostitutes in our government, from Obama to his White House staff, to our courts and even our military. Pimps and prostitutes doing the bidding of the mack daddy in chief, Obama. When I read this article this morning, it had to go up.

From TheBirthers.org.

“This is a question that cost me more than a few stripes in my short but colorful military career, but I find that I need to ask Army Col. Denise R. Lind, (the Judge, Jury and Executioner in the trial of the United States vs. Lt. Col. Lakin,) this same question.

You did take an oath when they pinned those “butter bars”on your shoulders. As an officer you do not swear to obey a person, but to be faithful to the Constitution of the United States. Something about protecting and defending it against all enemies, foreign and domestic is missing from your perspective which is why I need to ask you this question.

It was more than one time coming back from the field I would run into some WM, looking for a salute, usually I was simply too damn tired to play their game. And I would usually found myself standing in front of the “Gunner” who would ask me why I didn’t salute the young lieutenant, and I would stand there at attention and with a straight face look the Gunner in the eye and say, “Sir, I could not distinguish between rank or jewelry, sir.” Normally it was a reduction in rank, and a nominal fine, and the WM would walk out of the Gunner’s office thinking she won. Then the Gunner would pull the bottle of Jack out of his drawer and give me words of his wisdom. He said if you cannot respect the person, you respect the rank. You do not salute the person who did not earn respect, but the rank on their shoulders.

Well Denise let me put it this way, I can never respect a Pentagon Prostitute, so I am looking at your shoulders to see your rank. What I see are not eagles, they are vultures. It is not rank I see, just cheap costume jewelry.”

    Surprising delay in Lakin trial

NIMJ reported today that the Lakin court-martial has been pushed back to 4 November. According to this report from WUSA, the extra time was granted to “give the defense more time to ask the court of appeals for help.” Considering both the defense’s delay of approximately 25 days before filing the petition for extraordinary relief and the implausibility of obtaining extraordinary relief, it’s quite surprising that Judge Lind would delay the trial on that basis. [We’re trying to get a copy of the petition for extraordinary relief, but so far have received no reply to our request to ACCA for…

You see our Founding Fathers never intended for us to be lorded over by corrupt criminals in the White House and Congress. To the contrary, our Founding Fathers intended for We the People to have control over our Government and our politicians.

That is one of the primary reasons that they bestowed upon us that extraordinary Bill of Rights which provided for the Grand Jury System controlled by the people not the politicians.

In our Founding Fathers’ prescient wisdom, they designed a Grand Jury System in which no man, not even the President of the United States, is above the Law.

By Jeremy Brecher & Brendan Smith, The Nation. October 26, 2009

On June 7, 2006, a 28-year-old Army lieutenant named Ehren Watada released a video press statement announcing that he was refusing to deploy to Iraq because the Iraq War was illegal and his “participation would make me party to war crimes.” After three years of trying to convict him by court martial, the Army has finally given up and allowed Lt. Watada to resign. Despite his direct refusal of an order to deploy, Watada did not spend a single day in jail.

POTUS is said to be disconsolate and strangely uninspiring in meetings with confidants, allies, strangers, well-wishers, even the usual uninformed and fervent boosters.
The White House operation is said to be hollowed-out, half-hearted, defensive first and second and third, reflexive at any event; in sum, overwhelmed by the poll plunge, the desertions, the screaming from the doomed members of Congress.
See the profile of the blame-shifter-in-chief David Axelrod in the TNR for a glimpse at the man they all blame, and who then blames them.
There are Democratic congressman who look ashen on the floor of the House, such as Patrick Murphy, PA-8, who is stunned and despairing to learn he is 13 points down and cut off from the money.
The Democratic Senate is “sauve qui peut.” The White House waits for the surrender terms from the GOP. Evacuation barges alongside the Oval Office.
The last ditch is in Chicago, where Mayor Rahm Emanuel will provide 15-inch Rodmans and legions of Union Label ground troops to hold off the marauders of the right.
And this is all the good news.

    =====================================

As you may recall, I’ve been yelling this as loudly as I could since the last hearing. “Pentagon is source of orders, not President” COMPLETELY destroys and vitiates any case that Lakin could bring. There is so much “wishful thinking” going on that nobody wants to hear this message.

This will either weary Lakin and he will “take his punishment” – or it will begin a multi-YEAR appeals process. Ultimately ending in the USSC again refusing to deal with this issue. This will all result in stretching any possible action against Obama way past the time frame where it will do any good.

Whether anybody wants to hear this or not – I remain vindicated from before – the ruling about the source of the orders COMPLETELY removes Obama from the discussion. What happens to Lakin is still unsure, but for sure no harm comes to Obama.

  27. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO)

Just a random though on the group dynamics of this blog:

Many people here fail to make a critical distinction. Some people some of the time engage in righteous discussion. In that discussion different viewpoints are put forward that may even disagree with each other. This is not a bad thing – after all that is the point of debate – to discuss things from many angles and everybody try to keep an open enough mind to all learn from each other and spiral toward an improved or expanded truth. See my recent post on LtC Lakin. That is my fairly strong opinion. Some will disagree with it and/or have a different perception. That is OK.

What is not OK is the name calling and hostility – SIMPLY BECAUSE OF DISAGREEMENT.

This is the critical distinction people often fail to make. One person here routinely engages in petty name-calling just because of differences in opinion. This is frequent and routine. Others here fall into that trap occasionally as well.

But calling people out over actual breaches of decorum is not the same. Such breaches include: Disinformation, repetition of known false facts, illogical and disconnected conclusions, insane hyperbolic statements and attitudes, and general liberal-inspired victimhood. These things are so dangerous and so injurious to the purpose of a meaningful debate, that they MUST be called out for what they are.

As a good example – remember how some of us talk about the apparent fact that there are no Moderate Muslims? And that our major argument is that if there were such a thing they would do a better job of policing themselves, and calling out the extremists – even exterminating such whackos? Well, same thing here.

We have to police ourselves. Otherwise anybody stumbling onto this blog – or people we wish to refer to this blog – will assume that we are all like the lowest common denominator. The fact that some of us make sense some times will not sway them. They will see our inability to police ourselves as “proof” that we somehow support or encourage the extremists.

Being controversial is one thing, but any such controversy must be absolutely supportable. It can be provocative, but not stupid or silly. And above all, people without knowledge or background in certain areas ought to be a lot more energetic in asking questions and a lot less pontifical.

I try my best to follow these excellent rules – should I stray, I expect people to point out where they think I have failed. Then, as I have done in the past, I can either revise my statements and opinions, or further defend my position.

But in no case does name calling and random gibberish in regards the discussion of opinions have any place whatsoever in a debate among Honest Seekers.

Thanks Free Speech and I know how the Republicans can win the mid-terms and take back our Constitutional Republic.

    =======================================

Sure, we need more Republicans to counter the bullet proof majorities and slow down the evil juggernaut. But methinks you take the argument a bit too far.

Republicans have no interest in a Constitutional Republic. We have not had much in the way of a CR for at least 100 years, and many would say not since the Civil War.

Some, but not all, TP-endorsed candidates at least talk about a return to a CR. But mostly all politicians love Mob Rule, they just want to bend the will of the people to pick THEM instead of their opponents.

I also find that “99%” of the people who want a return to CR, say so simply because they think it will benefit THEM somehow. If you want to find a true constitutionalist, find one who will be severely personally smacked by such a thing and still evangelizes for it anyway.

For instance – THINK VERY CAREFULLY – a CR absolutely cannot exist with Mob Rule. The Founding Fathers knew that. That is why they provided for NO Parties (all are forms of organized and controlled Mob Rule) and NO popular vote for President. (Constitutionally, there should NEVER be anyway to even ASK the question: “How come the popular vote and the electoral vote are different? and which is correct?). Per the constitution, the Electors pick the president and ANNOUNCE their choice to the People. (very similar to Cardinals selecting Popes).

Now are you willing to give up YOUR vote for the greater good? That is a good test if one is truly a constitutionalist or more of the self-serving variety. You don’t have to answer out loud – just some introspection would be adequate.

But for me – I PROCLAIM BY ALLEGIANCE LOUDLY – I am a TRUE constitutionalist! I want to follow the constitution EXACTLY as written and EXACTLY as intended by the Founding Fathers. I do NOT believe that “the constitution is what the USSC says it is”. I believe that most if not all of the USSC “interpretations” of the constitution are WRONG – particularly as regards the 14th amendment – which is a vast majority of the case law for the last bazillion years.

Finally, there are several amendments that reverse or undo previous parts of the Original Constitution. I don’t believe the Founding Fathers intended this. They thought amendments were needed to clarify or extend certain things – but all amendments should at least be within the spirit of the constitution. In other words, I believe there is such a thing as an unconstitutional amendment – PRIMA FACIE – regardless of votes and ratification. Before you choke, consider the following. Without my rule, the rabble could vote for an amendment that invalidates the entire previous constitution and creates a totally Socialist or Sharia government. Should that be possible?

The march on DC this week is absolute proof and many are still in denial.

They did the same thing over at the Right Side Of Life site. 3 or 4 posters took up most of the time, to the point where you couldn’t discuss anything without them posting a long message espousing misinformation.
You can argue with them all day long but their disregard for the truth makes it a waste of time.

Notice now that obot-carlyle is in moderation, sunstein sends in the B-string obots, but they are easily recognized by the fact that they immediately start defending obot-carlyle rather than engaging in intelligent discussions or they start posting long NONSENSE posts about bo being a CIA agent & Malcolm X being bo’s daddy. Best thing to do is just ignore these B-string obots.
    ====================================
Does anyone see what happened here?
The obot’s goal is to antagonize sincere commentors in attempt to detract from the topic. They’ve attempted to steer conversation away from the original discussion and they have succeeded.

    Free Speech in Jail?

I do not have the specific comment handy, but FS is partially correct.. The fact is that …I simply reminded him that there were laws against some of the things he was saying.

As I recall, I further wondered if he liked jail so much that he was begging to go back. I then speculated that maybe rather than any righteous reason that we have been led to believe – that somehow it was simply his mouth that landed him in jail.

Jonah and Bob Stauss have obot-carlyle pegged. Notice his long nonsensical posts to distract from intelligent discussion on CW today.

“District 18 candidates clash in Mesa on ‘birther’ bill”

by Gary Nelson – Sept. 28
    The Arizona Republic

“Barack Obama survived a bruising presidential primary season and an even more bruising general election in 2008 without anyone disproving he was a U.S. citizen.

Before that he served on several U.S. Senate committees that required security clearance, and nobody disproved he was a U.S. citizen then, either.

Further, numerous independent investigations and Hawaii state officials have confirmed that Obama was born there on Aug. 4, 1961. That makes him a U.S. citizen and he therefore is constitutionally qualified to serve as president.

None of that, however, stopped the topic of Obama’s citizenship from dominating the discussion when four candidates for the Arizona House from District 18 visited last week with Mesa Republic reporters and editors in the newspaper’s Mesa headquarters.”

“AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL ACTIVE MILITARY MEMBERS
WILL YOU ALLOW THE LAST VESTIGES OF FREEDOM TO DIE?”
    by Jeff Tetreault

    http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/09/29/open-letter-to-active-military-members

“(Sept. 29, 2010) — To all Active Duty Personnel:

I have mentioned what I am about to say on various blogs and received plenty of flak, deletions and blacklists for it.

You are military officers and enlisted, and must stand up and fight for yourselves in large numbers. Otherwise expect the total loss of your freedoms like you’ve had a taste of already. Your right to vote has been prevented. Your second amendment right has been compromised. Your first amendment right has been squashed. And your right to military trial by jury has also been stripped away. Why are you still serving when you don’t file grievances against the government or take action??? There is no point in serving when you lose your inalienable rights granted to you by God and protected by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution you swore to uphold! There are no exceptions!

Heroes understand the Constitution and protect it. Cowards run and hide in fear of their careers or wrongful imprisonment. Strong words? Perhaps. But ask yourselves what the Rebels would classify you as in 1775. Would they deem your “hush-hush” attitude as noble? Honorable? Dignified? No military body is worth serving or keeping when the very rights it’s designed to protect are being stripped away from the very soldiers who serve in it. Our framing fathers would be rolling around in their graves and taking up arms against the force themselves. This is a crime against the United States and it jeopardizes our nation far more than any usurper, Congress, or any foreign enemy. Why is this being kept a secret? What are you afraid of? Imprisonment? Loss of “valor”? Loss of a job? Career in shambles? I know hundreds of active duty and they’re all afraid to even discuss it behind closed doors. Why? The first patriots of this nation didn’t do this. They fought back. Lakin and Fitzpatrick both took a stand and they are TRUE SOLDIERS. They are TRUE PATRIOTS. They are true HEROES. They are taking the lead.

Our founding fathers swore to prevent a mercenary force from forming again by empowering Congress to cut funding for any Army or Navy after 2 years. Why? It’s because the well regulated decentralized Militia was intended to maintain an Army and Navy during peacetime, not a standing army. It’s clearly evident by reading the complete documentation found in the Congressional notes of the first Constitutional Convention. You do not serve the King’s Legions. You serve the nation and the Constitution.”

    =========================

Elected officials – especially at the highest Federal levels – do not get checked at all. Not even the first time, let alone any rechecking. Quite obviously this is not proclaimed from the treetops, but it is a widely known and poorly kept “secret”.

One of the reasons this is true, is that until VERY recently, nobody ever attained a high federal office without a lifetime of public service and visible public proof that they were American through and through.

Besides, take the constitutional requirements for President or Vice President. There are exactly three – and we all know what they are. None of them involve a security clearance.

It is among the stupidest of all misconceptions that somehow Zero cannot be all that bad – otherwise the SS, the CIA, or the FBI would have outed him. That cannot happen. None of the above have the authority to do that.

In particular, the largest misconception is in regards the SS. The ones on President Detail (as opposed to, say, counterfitting or some such), are chartered to PROTECT THE PRESIDENT – PERIOD. There is NOTHING a president can do – no matter how illegal or disgusting – for which the SS can our would do anything. Quite literally they can be having Satanic rituals and sacrificing live babies in the Master Bedroom and the SS would do nothing. If you stop and think about it, that is as it should be and what you want. Would you like ANY hired policeman to exercise JUDGMENT over the highest elected official in the land? What about due process? Where to draw the line? And all that.

I mean, the president could be handing over the nuclear football to Vladimir Putin and the SS would do nothing. For all they could possibly know, this could be some Ruse de Guerre – some sting, or countersting, or countercountersting.

No – we should have elected a president on CHARACTER, and it has to be assumed that WHATEVER a president is doing is righteous. Now, of course, the congress is chartered with monitoring the president and should they grow doubts or become alarmed at his behavior, they can initiate impeachment proceedings. But that is entirely different. Day to day, minute to minute, it has to be officially assumed that whatever a president is doing is right – regardless of appearances.

Excellent points in your essay! Forgive me for using an analogy that I posted once before, but I like to visualize us commenters as a group of people assembled in, say, a living room – face to face. Let’s imagine that we are discussing an important issue with varying opinions being presented. We would each have something to add to the conversation and would try to present that opinion in the most convincing way possible in order to successfully get the point across. Isn’t that true?

Also, we would want to stay on good behavior, because a face to face meeting would soon reveal our weaknesses. Those weaknesses would tend to somewhat discredit “standing” in the discussion, because character would be showing. Although good ideas could and would emanate from all, bad behavior would tend to lower the general opinion of those with such weaknesses. Therefore, I would want to be as polite and understanding as possible in presenting my “case” so that it would be more readily accepted. Of course, I would want it to be truthful and reasonable, but not necessarily accepted by all, because I understand that not everyone is going to agree.

Now, when the controversies begin – and they always will if there are differences in opinion – if some were to start yelling, calling names, and twisting previous statements – the debate would probably end if it were a face-to-face meeting. At least, it would be very difficult to restore order so that the discussion could continue. Do you remember seeing on TV some of the outbursts in other countries’ governing bodies where the lawmakers actually get into fist fights right on the floor of the parliament, or whatever?
Disgraceful and childish, we call it!

So what I’m trying to say is that rude and crude behavior interrupts good discussion whether it is in a living room, face-to-face, or on a blog. The difference is that on a blog most REALLY don’t know the others, except by the persona presented through their respective posts.

However, Fitzpatrick has stated that military courts-martial are “rigged” against the defendant with no appeal process, and that in his case, the accuser and prosecutor were one and the same, in violation of proper procedure. ”

  82. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Courts-martial_in_the_United_States

    Appeals in courts-martial

There are procedures for post-trial review in every case, although the extent of those appellate rights depends upon the punishment imposed by the court and approved by the convening authority. Cases involving a punitive discharge, dismissal, confinement for one year or more, or death will undergo automatic review by the appropriate military Court of Criminal Appeals. Further review is possible to the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

    Intermediate courts of criminal appeals
If a service member is court-martialed and they feel that the result was unjust, then the service member can submit their case to the convening authority, which is the commander (usually a general or admiral) that originally established the court-martial panel. This is similar to asking a civilian governor for clemency or a pardon. After such clemency requests, the service member may also submit their case for review to the Court of Criminal Appeal for their branch. These courts are:
    Army Court of Criminal Appeals
Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals
Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals
Coast Guard Court of Criminal Appeals
These Courts of Criminal Appeals can correct any legal error they may find, and they can reduce an excessive sentence. The accused will be assigned an appellate defense counsel to represent him or her at no cost before the Court. Civilian counsel may be retained at the accused’s own expense.

Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces
From these intermediate courts of appeal, a service member, if sentenced to more than a year confinement or to a punitive discharge or dismissal may also petition the nation’s highest military court – the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF).[2][3] This court consists of 5 civilian judges, appointed for a fifteen year term, and it can correct any legal error it may find. Appellate defense counsel will also be available to assist the accused at no charge. Again, the accused can also be represented by civilian counsel, but at his or her own expense. Review by the CAAF is discretionary and a limited number of cases are reviewed each year. For the year ending September 1, 2009, the CAAF had 1,002 cumulative filings and disposed of 1,033 cases. Of these 1,033 cases, 46 were disposed of by signed or per curiam opinions and 987 were by memorandum or order.[4] (By comparison, the US Supreme Court issued signed 46 opinions in 2009.[5])

The president is not our teacher, our tutor, our guide or ruler. He does not command us, we command him. We serve neither him nor his vision. It is not his job or his prerogative to redefine custom, law and beliefs; to appropriate industries; to seize the country, as it were, by the shoulders or by the throat so as to impose by force of theatrical charisma his justice upon 300 million others. It is neither his job nor his prerogative to shift the power of decision away from them, and to him and the acolytes of his choosing.~ Mike Pence 9/20/10

I finally got a copy of Michael Lewis’ book “The Big Short-Inside the Doomsday Machine” OMG it is so much like we are doing here with the questions-I just finished chapter 1. The people who were selling this stuff, had no idea what was in it, were not allowed to ask questions, the auditing firms could not understand it, passed it along-just a mess -their theory we are making money-don’t rock the boat. I wish I were better at explaining this, they were trying to hide a lot of material just like here, so it took extensive digging to find out exactly what they were trying to hide. It was not only Vegas on the stock market but the biggest stacked deck anybody ever saw. No one could/would admit they didn’t know what they were even talking about, did not understand this derivative nonsense-they were amortizing the loans in a very corrupt way, between our government guaranteeing this nonsense and Wall Street doing their thing, well we are living with it now. The most important lesson I got from this chapter is continue asking questions until you receive an intelligent, sensible honest answer with documentation to prove it.

Using shovels, buckets and fishing nets they sift through the sand but there is so much more he says, beneath the surface.

    ============================================

This derivative crap began with bo’s ACORN trained Thugs, barney frank & chris dodd intimidating Banks into making bad loans to worthless demRats.

The Banks knowing that they could not sell all this bad loans, repackaged this as stock market securities called Derivatives. The Wall Street Brokers marketed them as Real Estate Mortgage Securities (Derivatives). It was a shell game. The Brokers had no idea what they were selling and the investors had no idea what they were buying, but the marketing campaign made the Derivatives sound like they were backed by Good Liquid Mortgages from reputable Banks. Total BS!

  114. I just watched Glenn’s program and he is exactly right. I have done a lot of development work overseas and the temptation to assume an oppressor and oppressed is behind every tree is strong in many countries and consumes the lives of many.

There’s truth there but like everything in life, it always comes back to understanding/balance (or lack thereof), power and manipulation. The few real “anti-colonialists” that I have met are believers (usually acquired by their associations or aspirations), but they use the conflict/oppression associated with the history of the people (real or imagined) for their own purposes. Some intentionally use the ‘fact of oppression’ to justify their own oppression (mostly of the oppressed they say they are helping). It can be used as a way to obtain status, power, and a ‘cool’ identity. It’s the click, the revenge – the control (drugs and alcohol)… I could go on and on. I was present for one military coup a dozen or so years ago, a fair amount of killing; we had to leave our two cats and dog (village friends promised to care for them). Mostly the ‘oppressed’ got screwed by those leading them. It’s sort of like what Obama’s people want to do to the poor here – create dependency – on them!

Instead of working to create independence and self-initiative, they get people so caught up in finding the ‘one’ whose fault their predicament is, they fail to see the way out.

  126. Zach Jones | September 29, 2010 at 6:43 pm |

Zach this is the best post ever that I have seen on this site. It is analytical of a situation that exists throughout the world.

The Central and South American countries provide the best examples of how the “oppressed” get manipulated so that they rise up.. and then a new dictator is installed.

On Sunday I heard an elderly priest touch on his own experiences in Santiago. He was there during the Pinochet regime. His comments were about how the priests were with the people. He gave an example of a French priest, who every time someone disappeared he went up to the palace, knocked on the door and demanded to know the whereabouts of the one who had disappeared. That priest ended up getting thrown out of Chile!!

Everything depends upon the narrative that we are being fed on a daily basis by the LSM. My own discontent with church hierarchy members is based upon their liberal stance (which is strong in the region where I am living at the moment). They believe the narrative regarding the colonialist oppression…. they would tend to take up the case of those who are in fact a cause of conflict. As a result of this narrative many of us get a false impression of what is going on in the world.

The narrative that I heard for many years in the newspapers and elsewhere is probably why I was able to sense that the Islamics would declare war on the USA, which they did on September 11, 2001. It is not like there were no warning signs. The first attack on the WTC was enough of a warning and it was a foregone conclusion that they would try it again. However, on top of that I began to learn more about the colonialist aspirations of the Islamics. I began to learn about how they wanted to re-establish the world wide caliphate.

Denying a past or current reality is one thing. Having an opinion about the future is entirely another. Confusing these two would never be done by anybody who was on the up and up.

I welcome any debate on any topic, on the merits. Flaming and calling people names over and over makes who the fool? I am confused.

For instance – and to one of the points you mention. I have stated a number of times that Zero’s crimes as we currently understand them should cause him to swing. Simple prison would not be adequate.

However, given that by nature of the Raw Power we have given him, and given that he is by virtue of his office the most powerful national head of any that has ever existed on the planet – It is going to be very difficult for a bunch of mice to topple a giant. [ Yes, We The People are SUPPOSED to be Sovereign, but that has not been the case for at least 150 years.] I am further on record as saying that he will use his Raw Power to flee before any “gotcha” action.

Whether or not you agree with any of this is your choice. But these are very reasonable and defensible opinions. I fail to see why these simple statements and opinions cause you to foam at the mouth. It is a most unusual reaction.

  139. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO) | September 29, 2010 at 7:52 pm |

I agree, and it is not good when people begin to post all of those conspiracy theories without first checking things out.

Case in point: a number of people on different blogs were busy posting a statement allegedly made by an Australian Prime Minister. It is obvious that this peice was making the rounds via email, and that the originator had changed a few names. Most people would have been totally unaware of who actually made the statement and when it was made. They are not to blame because if they do not come from Australia then they would be somewhat unaware of everything that has been going on. As a result of that email a man who was no longer Prime Minister was getting credit for a statement that he never made in the first place!!

This is just an example not meant to show up anyone. If people had been paying attention to my own comments about the political situation over here they would have seen that I noted the change when Julia-the-Marxist Gillard had stabbed KRUDD in the back. They would have noted that I made a comment on the outcome of our election held on 21st August, that it was a hung parliament and that Julia-the-Marxist had whored herself to ensure that she remained as Prime Minister even though the will of the people was clearly against her remaining in Government.

I have also constantly rapped people over the knuckles for talking about “L” iberals when the in fact mean “l”iberals. There is a difference because the big Liberals are part of a conservative political party, especially here in Australia, where the Liberals are for smaller government and not bigger government like the ALP. The ALP is controlled by the unions and various other factions such as the Communist Party. Actually, it is like with the DNC, these Marxists like Julia-the-Marxist and Kevin Rudd aka KRUDD try to hide their affiliations. They give themselves away.

If you were paying attention you would see how often I stated that Australia was facing similar problems with this desire to bring in an unnecessary carbon tax or price on carbon, as well as attempts to bring in an emissions trading scheme, which will do nothing to the atmosphere since we all breathe out carbon dioxide. This is why we are in this together. We are fighting the same fight.

The ALP in Australia, as well as the watermelons aka the Green Party want to bring in higher taxes which will end up arresting our economic growth. The watermelons do not “get it”. They are the fairies, pixies, trolls and the like that live at the bottom of the garden.

Just like the USA we have a presence in Afghanistan. Our soldiers are getting killed too. On top of that, one group of soldiers, doing their duty are now facing a court martial because the Taliban were using women and children as human shields, and these human shields were killed in the midst of action.

Australia has always been a strong ally of the USA. However, at the moment I would rather than Australia was not an ally – at least until the fraud leaves the White House.

When everybody follows her advice, things will be fine here.

  144. There is much noise, dissembling and distraction on this blog. I believe in the motto: K.I.S.S. There is no debate or ambiguity regarding the situation the USA is in. Zero admitted he was a usurper when he admited his Dad was British. Some may call me a birther. Fine, I wear the moniker with pride. I chose to label any such person, and any person who will not defend the Constitution as a traitor. Every elected politician who does not denounce Zero as a usurper, is a traitor to the Constitution. This includes virtually every elected official in the United States with some notable exceptions, most media reporters and pundits, and most American citizens. Traitors, one and all. Traitors are guilty of treason against the Constitution. I understand we have tried, found guilty and executed traitors. You can make your choice. You either defend the Constitution or you do not; those who chose to not defend the Constitution are traitors. Traitors will eventually be held accountable to We the People. I look forward to this resolution, which may come sooner than we think.

Thanks, Paxson, but an apology from someone as DISHONEST as carlyle would be no more meaningful to me than an apology from bo.

I do think that we all should demand that obot carlyle apologize to Col Lakin for the following DESPICABLE POSTS:

It would be, FS. You know in your heart that CC is not an Obot. He’s an inside the beltway politico who is looking to instruct us on the ways of the world, which neither you and I care about (hence the TEA Party movement). He is one of us and you know it. He has said things to you that have been over the top and you have made him pay for it.

It is time for it to stop so we can move on with the important work of providing leadership to the people who don’t pay attention to what is going on in our country the way that we do.

I thought about it for a long time after my confrontation with Helen last night. I realized even though we are very far apart on many issues, we both are on the same side for bring our country back to where it belongs. Our country is founded on differences within the constitution. Right now, we are not in a fair fight. We need to bring back the “American Spririt”. It is up to us on popular blogs like CW to lead the way for the people who lurk (and I was a lurker for a very long time).

So please, please come to terms with each other. Agree to disagree. But know that you both are one of us. The founding fathers did not always agree and some had severe distaste for the other. But they came together for the good of the new nation.

Be a man. We are relying on both of you.

I don’t see any thing wrong with that. To me it seems the major open questions are exactly how to do that. The only surefire way is an armed revolution. But that is what one might call “pretty extreme”. Is there a workable way short of that?

My personal favorite is to starve the beast. A nation-wide refusal to pay taxes. Do we collectively have the courage to even do that? It is going to take something LARGE. Chipping away at Gibraltar is not going to do it.

No offense, Paxson, but I am really not interesting in discussing Baghdad Bob Carlyle unless it is to ridicule him. I know BC is an Obot. It has nothing whatsoever to do with feelings.

  154. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO) | September 29, 2010 at 8:31 pm |

Look CC…You claim to be deeply embedded as a civilian within the U.S. Military, as my father was. You claim to have many sources of PTB’s (which I don’t care about and is where we part ways) who operate within a certain fashion (that we are trying to change in our country, hence the TEA Party movement). For somebody so politically astute, which you would have to be in those circles, you seem very attracted to a tit for tat childishness that is cumbersome for all of us. I will say the same for FS.

I will use the “proportions” analogy. You are to FS as I am to Helen. Don’t fu.ck with him so much and he won’t give back to you what you have been getting.

  155. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO)

    BTW – just for the record – - -

I am not an insider. I am an ultra conservative and one of the few here that wants to return to a true Constitutional Republic – even though it would be painful to me personally – similar to Founding Fathers who pledged lives and fortunes. But I believe strongly enough to do that. I have seen Liberals, Progressives, and Nationalists ruin our beautiful Federated Republic. I will SACRIFICE to fix it.

I have never lived east of the Rockies (except as a wee kid), and am no way connected to any beltway or power elite. But I have had the privilege of mingling with VERY senior insiders. For instance, I mentioned before, I have been in the inner sanctums of the Pentagon and the old Strategic Air Command and debated war strategy, and its automation, with the senior staff. So, I know a lot about how THEY think, but I am not part of THEM. I worked at the highest levels in the Military Industrial Complex for 20 years. I have knowledge and experience. That is all.

  156. You and FS parted on the Gulf Coast. He was reporting information and you were holding him accountable for every detail. There is no doubt that something is severly f.cked up in the region. The Texas A.M. Science professors who were accosted by Homeland Security, with all of their scientific work removed from them should tell you that something is up…

I don’t understand your point at all. Why would you not want inside information on how the other side works and thinks? Would you rather go around banging your head against an impenetrable wall, when there may be a better way? I have never disagreed with any of the things you seem to think I disagree with. I love Tea Partiers, for instance. God bless ‘em.

Read the FS post just before your post. It is self explanatory as to where the problem lies.

Again – give me specifics – what have I ever said about FS that is wrong? or crossed the line?

  158. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO) | September 29, 2010 at 8:37 pm |

o.k. CC…semantics…you know how they think but you aren’t one of them. The whole point of the TEA Party movement is the fact that we no longer care about how they think, nor do we choose to play their games any longer. We will put up with the few, in the districts that we cannot yet win, yet know that they will vote with us in the long run….

This political game in the United States is a game of increments. We need to take what we can. Then reasess…

    Paxson | September 29, 2010 at 8:39 pm |

You and FS parted on the Gulf Coast.

    =====================================

Perhaps you failed to read. I reported in detail on the oil well and it’s repair and shutdown. At that time I said clearly that the well itself was not the big problem – but the already leaked oil and the dispersants. I also stated that I reported on the details of the well because that was an area I had the expertise to independently analyze and sort the wheat from the chaff.

I did that and I was right. From the beginning FS pizzed on me because he wanted to believe all the hyperbolic stuff he was reading – especially as regards the now deceased Matt Simmons. All of that stuff was 100% wrong. Proof that FS was chumming the water with misinformation.

I post much less about the damage being done right now. That is because I do not have enough specific expertise to make an independent assessment. The world would be a better place if FS realized that he does not either. The stuff he posts is just random gripes he has gathered from the internet – with no value added whatsoever. He even repeatedly posts things from sources that (like Matt Simmons) are known to be wrong. He posts stuff that is old and no longer relevant – or so old that new facts are totally different.

Do we all need to keep on top of the scum who poisoned us and lied to us? You bet! But posting old, irrelevant, and simply wrong stuff simply hides the problem rather than highlighting it. One would even be tempted to say that this overburden of “stuff” is itself an Ailinsky technique.

So now do you see the problem?

  160. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO)

    Paxson | September 29, 2010 at 8:44 pm |

Yeah, TEA PARTY – go for it – no problem with that – - -

But “nor do we choose to play their games any longer” is a pretty bold statement considering as how they own the gameboard!

But – even so – I don’t have a problem with any of that. I have never said to not do that. I simply write down what I know and my opinions about outcomes of future events – for instance, I maintain that the fact that the USSC has had at least half dozen golden opportunities to address on merits the eligibility question is a very high likelyhood that they never will. Some people hate it when I say that. But I maintain that the known facts are on my side. This seems like a reasonable statement and not easily ridiculed – and yet – - -

    ==============================

Yeah, I agree with that also. Like the LtC Lakin Courts Martial. I used to think that was a good idea. But the ‘prostitute’ judge used the power that she had (legally or illegally, no matter) and drove a stake through the heart of it. That approach is dead in the water behind the insurmountable hurdle of “orders come from pentagon, not president”. Time to REASSESS, I would say.

See how this works? Y’all need to follow your own rules and advice.

  162. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO)

Self explanatory self assessment below. I am will to discuss ANYTHING on merits. No “coming together” is going to happen until everyone agrees with that simple agreement. I believe that thread of thought began when you chose to lecture me on the objectives of the Tea Party. You used the word “we” in that context several times – apparently trying to compare and contrast the Tea Party with whatever it is that you think is MY agenda. So, not to be hostile, I did not take it that way, but you were the one that drew the distinction between me and you, us and them.

I then further focused on your word “reassess”. Much of what I do that seems to alarm people the most falls under the category of “reassess”. It seems to me that some people prefer to keep trying failed approaches whereas a strategic retreat or a “regrouping” is called for.

From the tone of a couple of your posts I had assumed that you bordered on agreeing with the “keep trying” crowd. So I was just playing your word “reassess” back to you and saying that a lot of people – the y’all, in question – ought to be more willing to reassess.

Simple answer to your question – “y’all” refers to anybody who repeatedly tries or proposes the same things that don’t work. As contrasted to people like me who understand and VALUE the logic of retreat and regroup as a necessary strategy.

And, BTW, THIS is the way to have a sane dialog. You may or may not agree with my opinions. But before even deciding if you do or not, you asked for clarification. Then even if you end up disagreeing with me, I trust that you will state that as forthrightly as you see fit, but will neither foam at the mouth nor call me names.

Nobody can predict the future with certainty. But you will see that my facts are always solid and my logic is defensible. I hope you understand the profound difference that makes as contrasted with other people we have both ‘attacked’ recently who have both bad facts and bad logic.

I don’t agree with everybody all the time, nor do I require or expect the same in return. In my own mind, that makes me a reputable and worthy poster and commenter. Perhaps other people have other criteria. But I don’t really know how I can do more than that.

In your earlier comment you stated that you were once a civilian counterpart to the old Strategic Air Command. How does one do that? The Strategic Air Command was a TOTALLY military linked organisation who took their orders direct from the POTUS in a time of NATIONAL EMERGENCY. There was no civilian counterpart who was involved in operational decision making. That is the organisation in which my NEPHEW spent his entire military career. Of course he was not any sort of CIVILIAN COUNTERPART. He was involved in data systems SECURITY, and computer programming entity. While it might seem to some people that data system security is a peon job in reality it was NOT. It was a VITAL job, and nearly everyone at Offut AB were required to be known to the Data System Security People. In fact everyone was required to hold a security clearance of TOP SECRET simply to enter the OFFICES of the DATA SYSTEM SECURUTY DEPT. They knew the name of EVERY PERSON STATIONED at or working upon OFFUT AFB. But that all occurred a long time ago and in the interim a great deal has changed, in regard with how DATA SYSTEM SECURITY is now done. Today he operates his own DATA SECURITY,and Networking Company in Phoenix AZ. He is now into his 60s, and has done very well for himself, and his family.

    ====================================

All I can tell you is that all of the Automation that is used in the White House war room, all the Automation that is used in the Pentagon inner rooms, and all the Automation that is used in the underground, and the underground below that at SACHQ was built by civilians. All the launch order designs and formats, missile targeting and sequencing is all done by civilians or products built by civilians. All the nuclear codes (you know, the stuff in the Football) are produced as a collaboration between military and civilian contractors. Civilians are very integral to war planning because they hold the information about was is possible with the technology. So, yes, I participated in a lot of high level discussions with a lot of high level war planners and senior staff. And decisions about desired strategy are highly seasoned with limitations and capabilities of the technology.

Many civilians have security clearances that exceed most military personal – even high ranking officers. There are many, as you say Top Secret – but that is just the tip of the iceberg – there are many different types and levels of clearance, “interesting details” that are held as closely as say, less than a dozen people. In which case it is typical for some of those to be military and some to be civilians – and I don’t mean elected officials – I mean highly specialized or senior defense contractors.

It does not appear that you or your acquaintences are very aware of how intertwined are the military and the civilian defense industry. But that’s OK, few are. Most of the military are Operators of various sorts – fighter pilots, infantrymen – etc. a whole array of things. Relatively few know the ins and outs of ‘procurement’, fewer still know how ‘sensitive’ procurements work, and almost no one knows how the REALLY DEEP DARK stuff is done, relative to civilian contractors. Same for CIA, NSA, and SS, and FBI. Somebody has to build all their toys – and it ain’t them.

  173. Citizen Carlyle (FUBO)

    PS – a couple of clarifications – - -

    1. Your nephew is old enough he may have been involved when things were at least partly manual effort and record keeping (Yes, very critical and very important). Things are always getting more and more automated. He may have been at the beginning or upswing of this. But it is almost certain that everything he used was built by civilians.

    2. It may be simple ignorance on my part, but I am not aware of defense contractor civilians being “in the loop” in regards to OPERATIONS. When jets are scrambled, missiles launched, soldiers deployed, special forces task forces sent out, etc. I am not aware of any such civilians. This tends to match your observations. My comments are entirely directed – per my precise experience – on “preliminaries”. Everything from design of equipment, to the requirements and purpose of the equipment, war games, choice of scenarios and strategies, possible multiple targets or sequencing of actions – all the things like that which an intimate knowledge of the equipment and technology is required to bring to the discussion.

    Hope this clarifies things.

  174. Paxson, having read your evening posts and attempts to reconcile FS and CC, I would like to make some comments. As you no doubt know, I also have been on FS’s obot list (still am), and if I recall correctly, you have, too, at one time or another. So my words are based on interaction with FS for as long as he has been posting here.

Your attempts can be considered very noble, but we are dealing with some factors that seem to be unknown to us about FS. I have had plenty of encounters with him over the past number of months. Having dealt with various individuals in different capacities over my long work life, I can say with assurance that there are some folks that probably are irreconcilable, and it would appear that unless something drastic happens, FS is one of them.

After your sincere appeals to him, here are his responses:

No offense, Paxson, but I am really not interesting in discussing Baghdad Bob Carlyle unless it is to ridicule him. I know BC is an Obot. It has nothing whatsoever to do with feelings.

Now, Paxson, the above indicates that FS does NOT want any kind of reconciliation. This is the same attitude he has exhibited to certain posters that he CHOOSES to make his object of hateful comments. Why is this so? Only someone who knows him could make that determination. To me it is despicable behavior and should be repudiated; however, the more attention that is called to it the worse it gets. Perhaps, it feeds his ego? Perhaps he is delusional? I don’t know and can’t pretend to know.

We are all at various levels in knowledge, communication skills, and temperament; therefore, trying to get some posters together is nearly impossible unless all parties agree. Personally, I feel that CC has gone more than the extra mile to meet FS. If FS won’t meet him, then we just have to let it be. That’s rather plain, simple talk, but it’s the truth.

As far as lurkers and others visiting this site, I am sure they get the picture, which is not the impression we would like to give; however, “what cannot be cured must be endured.”

  175. Such may, or may not be the case. At any rate as you say it is with out a doubt that most of the toys as you put it were built by civilians. Lets face it…. Oppenheimer for one. Does that ring a bell?. Again you are probably correct,in that the people at the Marshall Islands test sight were in your view a pack of jackasses. But I disagree vehemently. Had it not been for the people who test the products. They might never have even gotten off the ground. I watched these people work their butts off in setting up these tests, and then watched many of them become contaminated because ONE OF THE CIVILIAN KNOW IT ALL,WHIZ KIDS DECIDED TO CHANGE A REFINING PROCESS then not tell anybody about it. It resulted in a planned 7 meg, test yeild becoming a 15 meg test yeild. This was the infamous BRAVO test. You might not have yet been of any nage consequence This occurred 56 years ago.. Had you been there I am sure that your obviously super human superior intellect could have prevented this from occurring. Even though the super human superior minds already there didn’t seem to even give a damn. Subsequently, a number of the crewman of the USS Bairoko CVE 115 were contaminated heavily and later in their lives DIED of cancers before any of them were 50 years of age. The USS Bairoko was so HOT with CESIUM 137 radiation that it had to be put on cold iron, the crew removed ,and towed back to Bremerton where it underwent complete sandblasting to bring down the radiation level to a safe level once again. Because one of the KNOW IT ALLS said nothing, these surface ships were not in the correct relative positions nor were they at a safe distance for a 15 megaton yeild. I am sure that if somebody having a SUPER HUMAN and all knowledgeable MIND would have been there this would not have happened! I certainly also wish that SOMEBODY having such a gift would have been at the Oak Ridge facility when the BRAVO prototype weapon was built. Perhaps a SUPER HUMAN WHIZ KNOW IT ALL could have been instantly transformed into a HERO for saving the lives of those who died too early in their lives. After all it isn’t who, or what the know it all is ,rather if he does something significant, then I would happily cheer him on. But sadly talk is CHEAP, and fiction is everywhere. Perhaps you will start PROVING some of your EXPLOITS, I can prove EVERY ONE OF mine, and I am proud that I was involved in every one of them. As I stated earlier all of this was long ago.and is history. While talking, and thinking about the past is reminiscense and is enjoyable, I don’t really look upon it as CONSTRUCTIVE. At 79 years of age, it is possible that I will drop into the abyss anytime, and certainly I will return to my maker without ANYTHING which is how I was born. Whether or not we retain our memories, the jury is still out on. Therefore I would like to have people remember me for both my accomplishments, and my failures throughout my life. Unfortunately I chose to follow a different path to success than you did. But guess what, I would do it all again EXACTLY as I did before if I could. I didn,t need the SUPER HUMAN KNOW IT ALL StTUFF. I simply done what seemed right for the job at hand, just like MILLIONS of people like me did over time. In NO WAY do I belittle EDUCATION. Had I been so inclined I probably would have progressed beyond my BA. I simply felt that I had better things to do with my life than sit in a classrom listening to somebody tell me how to impress America with a lot of 50 cent words. I successfully ,and profitably operated a private business, for nearly 50 years, and I enjoyed the fruits of my success ALONG WITH MY FAMILY. My eldest son now operates the business that his grandfather started, in 1931. It would seem that all three of us must have done something right for the business to survive 79 years, of continuous operation. It changed a lot and is still changing. My son is taking it into new areas of business that were once looked upon as not potentially profitable. Operating a small business is a constant challenge, of both mind and spirit. It was in the thirties, it was in the 50s and still is today. My son is facing a lot of problems. Thanks to our USURPER in CHIEF my son has had to downsize his business to a level that his grandfather operated at. Through the 70s and 80s I employed as high as 53 people. I turned it over to my son in 1989. He has operated it to date, and my grandson is now working with him part time until he gets out of school. My grandson is presently attending PURDUE University. None of us are SUPER HUMAN KNOW IT ALL SORT of individuals. We simply try to enjoy our lives as much as possible. The greatest joy of my simple life is watching my children and grand children do their thing. I am happy beyond most peoples imagination. In addition I find a great contentment in watching my great grandchildren for my grand son a few days a week. My wife and I are extremely happy in our “TRAILER” as JJ seems to think. That is OK though. People like JJ are as entitled to think what they wish. Their thoughts in no way effect what I do or how I choose to live. But just to clear the air ,I raised my children in a 3900 sq.foot home which was situated on a 5 3/4 acre of ground, in Aboite township, Allen County, Indiana. I sold that house for a number of reasons. After my 1st wife died, I remarried and we recently bought a 1500 sq foot site built home that was built by a veteran of the SEABEES. He built 250 homes in this addition and he made every effort to sell the homes to VETERANS. We have a number of vets in our addition. A few are my age,and we try to get together from time to time. None of us are of SUPER HUMAN INTELLECT. In all probability a KNOW IT ALL WOULD PROBABLY FIND HIMSELF ALONE VERY QUICKLY.

Glad to see that we do agree on at least one thing.LOL. However there is one thing that you stated that I would like to add to, if I may. Regarding ship procurement. It goes without saying that if it was not for the ability of our CIVILIAN shipyards to build both cruies ships or warships we probably would still be in a shipbuilding technological stone age. They do what they do best. build ships. In some instances technologies are developed for specific uses on warships. Yet sometimes there is mutual benefit to civilian ship building as well . In particular I hasten to point out the double bottom technology which was originally conceived for, and used in our five Iowa class battleships. It later became a Maritime Administration mandate in the design, and construction of US registered tankers. As is the case with any new ship CIVILIAN workers are usually on board during sea trials. This is for obvious reasons. They built it, and they at that point know the ship the best. There is no denying that practically everything that is produced for the military IS produced by civilian designers, and labor. This was painfully obvious during WW2. Women accounted for a very large percentage of the total US defense production.
Sadly SAC was gradually superceded by siloed ICBMs. Yet I still think that there will NEVER be a complete departure of the HUMAN factor from our defensive considerations. We could now EASILY see all of the defensive progress that has been made over the decades, go out the window in DC, soley for the purpose of satisfying demands made by people who sympathasize with our ENEMIES. We all watched in DISBELIEF as Bill Clinton gave away our latest missile guidance technology to the Chinese. Perhaps someday we will see a Chinese missile streak across the sky at mach 3.5 and ultimately strike Clinton’s own rooftop. On the side of the missile will be a painted message “Thank You Mr. Clinton for helping us develop the guidance systems of our new ICBM missiles. Here is a sample for you of our latest endeavor.”Who knows Soetoro might have given Ahmadinajad the same technology for Iran’s missile guidance systems as well. I am sure that it would both enhance, and expedite the develpoment of their NUCLEAR delivery program.

Old Salt, you are a national treasure and I am proud to be associated with you. Thank you for everything.

the people at the Marshall Islands test sight were in your view a pack of jackasses. But I disagree vehemently.

Are you talking to ME? Where did you get this sentiment from?

On further thought – I don’t understand ANYTHING about this post. It is totally out of left field and not related or pertinent to ANY discussion that has ever gone before.

I agree with Paxson – you and people like you are national heroes. I worked hand-in-glove with Military (primarily Air Force) for over twenty years. Everybody I worked with was honest, honorable, capable, and dedicated. I was proud to be associated with them.

I sincerely have NO IDEA, even approximately, what you are talking about. Except that you seem to want to diss civilians somehow. I guess I am more bilateral and coequal. I find neither the civilians or the military to be smarter, or dumber, or whizzier, or more reckless, than the other one. They were all responsible humans (glories and mistakes combined) pursuing a common goal and trying to maximize their relative strengths and charters.

Do you seriously have a problem with that?

    ======================================

And guess what – many technologies we take from granted every day – from Teflon to electronics miniaturization to even basic computer networking – were ALL developed to meet Military or NASA needs. Without the dedicated personnel from these government agencies to oversee and coach things along, our mundane civilian lives would be much different and much worse.

It seems to be a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship.

This particular post seems to touch on that and, strangely, to have been written by an entirely different person. Are you sure that, like some others here, you are not plagued with dual personalities? (only partly serious)

And I don’t know how or why you use the words “opinions” or “agree”. I am expressing neither an opinion nor seeking your agreement. I have simple described some of MY experiences. It is not clear how or why you should have an opinion on MY experiences. It is a life I have lived and there is no way you could know anything about it.

Similarly, you have lived a life. It is YOUR life and there is no way I could agree or not agree with it. It just IS. I may praise you for your life, and I choose to do that. Other people I am aware of (say, ranging from Zero to Mother Teresa) have in my opinion helped or hurt all mankind. That is an opinion I believe I am entitled to. You may or may not agree. Similarly you may approve or disapprove of how I have live my life. That is an opinion you are entitled to have. But I don’t seen as you you can have a valid opinion as to IF I have lived my life.

You asked some pertinent questions in your post that started this discussion. I answered them as best and as thoroughly as I could without going to jail or being shot. I’m not sure where the conversation went from there.

But I hope that anything hostile or negative you seemed to have said was simple misunderstanding on my part. I apologize in advance. God Bless.

Yes, most people here know exactly the nature of “the problem” and where it lies. Therefore I worry most about the lurkers or casual visitors. And as everybody from CW to a lot of us individuals get more proactive and more pushy about directing outsiders to this blog – for their education and edification – the fictitious CCFUBO gets more protective of the integrity of the blog.

If we have any hope of capturing the imagination or lighting a fire under anybody who can help push THE WORST PROBLEM OF ALL TIME into the spotlight, into the court of public opinion – then we really need to police ourselves.

It is exactly analogous to the situation that Moderate Muslims have zero credibility – exactly because they refuse to purge their ranks and/or subdue their own wackos.

I encourage everybody to step back, look at the forest instead of the trees, come to this blog with a fresh set of imagined outsider’s eyes. Just read a couple of threads and imagine what they must see and think.

There is SO MUCH inbreeding and GROUP THINK on this blog – that I remain convinced that my major contribution is to continue to point out what we must seem like to rational outsiders. If we don’t start learning that a bit more, we are in grave danger of shooting ourselves in the feet and/or otherwise being irrelevant.

And, I don’t care if they are right or wrong – ranting, imbecility, insane thrashing about, name calling, etc. – NEVER look credible to anyone looking in on us. I do not specifically apply those descriptions to any specific person. In fact we are ALL probably at fault on one or more of these at one time or another. I simply provide these descriptions for introspection. We each need to think more deeply and more carefully about “appearances” if we want to be taken seriously.

What you say is all very true and I agree. Hopefully, something can change to correct the misperceptions that emanate from this blog , i.e., that we are a bunch of wackos, etc. Frankly, though as I get around the blogosphere, I see a lot of similar problems, maybe not as unique as ours, but there are some real crazies out there on other sites – even the better ones. I really enjoy reading comments on American Thinker (not really a blog, but there are some rebuttals, etc.), because the posters seem to be a notch above many in their thinking ability. I see that you often make reference to articles from there. BTW, when I say “crazies”, I’m not demeaning anyone for their opinions, it’s just that they don’t seem to be able to “give and take” and open their minds to something different.
