William Cellini is on trial for his involvement in the corruption of the Illinois Teacher Retirement System, TRS. This is being portrayed as the last prosecution in Operation Board Games that began with the cooperation of Stuart Levine and trial of Tony Rezko. If we had a non corrupt US Justice Department there would be a Patrick Fitzgerald trial, Eric Holder trial and Barack Obama trial.

Cain said the investigation, dubbed Operation Board Games by the federal agents, began in December 2003 and was prompted by information gleaned from an informant whom he did not identify. That witness, he said, took part in meetings with two other individuals who were in contact with Levine by phone at his home.
Cain said Levine had three phone lines in his North Shore home. Federal agents recorded conversations on those lines April 8-May 21, 2004. Those dates span the time when Levine, Rezko and others allegedly were working to rig the hospital board vote on a Mercy Health System hospital proposal for Crystal Lake and other kickback schemes prosecutors claim they were engaged in.”

Auchi, now a citizen of the United Kingdom, has faced criminal charges in Europe. He also figured in the revocation of Rezko’s bond early this year after attempting to wire him more than $3 million. Upon learning of that attempt, U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve declared Rezko a flight risk and ordered him held in a federal jail in the Loop.
The Rezko party in 2004 was designed to induce Auchi to pour money into the South Loop investment. Obama’s presence at the party was not previously known. At the time, Obama was fresh off a surprise win in the Illinois Democratic primary for U.S. Senate and was riding a crest of national publicity.”

The teens said the boy was about 4 years old.

Biden has a meltdown and the only people reporting it are the alternative media. with each passing day I am more and more appalled with the state of our popular culture. I don’t see a resolution in sight. Very sad.

Gordo. I like Rubio but that response is pathetic. The leadership in our country are like a bunch of children. Until we replace them with some real leaders our country will be adrift at sea floating aimlessly.

A LITTLE ALLEGORY
In the 1957 movie “A Night To Remember” about the sinking of the Titantic, there is a scene with the Captain and the ship’s builder. They decide that since the first 5 water-tight compartment have been breached, the ship was doomed and we all know what happened. Many years later after the wreck had been found there was much speculation about what could have been done. It was determined nothing could have been done except that they could have slowed down the sinking, thus giving more time for more rescue ships to arrive. This could be done by opening the remainder compartments thereby allowing the ship to sink in a more level and slower way, giving more time to rescue more survivors. I think our Government has decided that our country is like the Titantic and they are going to spend all they can before we sink and like “rats on a sinking ship” they will grab all they can for themselves. Have a good day.
PS – Sean Connery had a minor roll as a crewman handing out life preservers.

Mr. Bill – The good news is that with Rubio the media can’t avoid the citizenship of parents issue. Last month I wrote an article that urged Rubio to seek a declaratory judgment from a federal court. I was exploring the idea raised by Lame Cherry involving a situation particular to Cuba and Rubio’s parents. At the time, Cuba enjoyed some sort of special status as a US protectorate. Interesting. Taken with the Justice’s (Scalia?) statement that they were avoiding the issue, this idea could be something the SCOTUS might entertain because they might want to use the opportunity to justifiably extend the meaning of a natural born citizen to include those born to parents who came from a country in turmoil and having a protected status. The idea would be that there could be no conflicted allegiance involving Cuba that the time that would threaten the allegiance to the US and that the Founders with such a ‘Cuba’ situation would also see it that way.
It is good that the right issue might be discussed.
