Obama lies don’t add up, Real unemployment rate, CBO forcasts over 8 percent through 2013, 12.8 million unemployed, 43 percent jobless more than six months

“the Times of the nineteenth of December had published the official forecasts of the output of various classes of consumption goods in the fourth quarter of 1983, which was also the sixth quarter of the Ninth Three-Year Plan. Today’s issue contained a statement of the actual output, from which it appeared that the forecasts were in every instance grossly wrong. Winston’s job was to rectify the original figures by making them agree with the later ones.”…George Orwell, “1984”

“As soon as all the corrections which happened to be necessary in any partiucular number of the Times had been assembled and collated, that number would be reprinted, the original copy destroyed, and the corrected copy placed on the files in it’s stead. This process of continuation alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound tracks, cartoons, photographs–to every kind of literature or documentation which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance. Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. In this way every prediction made by the Party could be shown by documentary evidence to be correct; nor was any item of news, or expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to be on record.”…George Orwell, “1984″

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed
–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

From the CBO January 2012.
“THE ECONOMIC OUTLOOK

In part because of the dampening effect of the higher tax rates and curbs on spending scheduled to occur this year and next, CBO expects that the economy will continue to recover slowly, with real GDP growing by 2.0 percent this year and 1.1 percent next year (as measured by the change from the fourth quarter of the previous calendar year). CBO expects economic activity to quicken after 2013 but to remain below the economy’s potential until 2018.

In CBO’s forecast, the unemployment rate remains above 8 percent both this year and next, a consequence of continued weakness in demand for goods and services. As economic growth picks up after 2013, the unemployment rate will gradually decline to around 7 percent by the end of 2015, before dropping to near 5½ percent by the end of 2017.”

From Ezra Klein of the Washington Post February 1, 2012.

“Is the ‘real’ unemployment rate stuck?”
Back in December, the Financial Times’s Ed Luce estimated that “if the same number of people were seeking work today as in 2007, the jobless rate would be 11 percent.” Perhaps, many of us wrote at the time, that should be considered the “real” unemployment rate.

Today, Cardiff Garcia notes an unsettling chart from Nomura that compares the unemployment rate we have, where people can drop out of the labor force and thus out of the numbers, to this “real” unemployment rate, where discouraged workers aren’t dropped from the rolls. Worryingly, it’s barely moved:”

“What is striking about the broken line above isn’t where it now ends — at 10.3 per cent — but rather the lack of any meaningful, sustained improvement for more than two years,” comments Garcia. “This alternative measure has remained above 10 percent since September 2009, and aside from a bit of skittishness (some of which is down to uncaptured seasonality) has mostly just moved sideways.”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/post/is-the-real-unemployment-rate-stuck/2011/08/25/gIQAVyiTiQ_blog.html

From Cal Thomas February 08, 2012.

“The Obama administration is touting the latest unemployment numbers released last week”

“The Obama administration is touting the latest unemployment numbers released last week by the U.S. Department of Labor as proof its policies are working. But a closer look at the actual number of able-bodied people who are willing to work, but do not, reveals a different picture.

As economist John R. Lott has written, not only is the drop in the unemployment rate from 8.5 percent to 8.3 percent still half a percentage point higher than when President Obama took office three years ago, the number of unemployed is also higher. Compared with January 2009 when 11.6 million Americans were jobless, today, writes Lott, “there are 12.8 million unemployed and 43 percent have been out of a job for more than six months. The average length of unemployment has increased dramatically since the recovery started. Back in June 2009, ‘only’ 29 percent of the unemployed had been unemployed longer than six months.”

The way government counts things, slower growth in government spending amounts to a cut. In a similar, misleading fashion, a reduction in the percentage of unemployed people by two-tenths of 1 percent counts as progress, even if it results from wide-scale work force dropout.

Lott examined the Labor Department’s statistics and found that the number of Americans not in the labor force — neither working nor seeking work — grew and was revised upward last month by 1.2 million. Most people who join this category have given up looking for work and are no longer counted as unemployed. That fact skews the statistics to make the employment picture appear better than it is.

Real unemployment is mostly ignored by the major media, which was happy to tout the latest jobless rate reduction as a boon to Obama and a problem for Republican front-runner Mitt Romney. Most reporting has focused on the impression voters might have of an economic recovery, or at least trending in the right direction. The opposite is true and it is up to Romney to make that case.”

“Many in the major media can’t be counted on to tell the truth about the economy if doing so makes Obama and his policies look bad. This means the Republican nominee will have to go over or around the media to make his case. The best way to do this is not with statistics, but with real people.”

“Featuring real people who are out of a job and desperately want to work would help undermine the Democrats as the party of compassion, while simultaneously blunting the Republican stereotype as the party that doesn’t care about the poor.

Democrats seem eager to get more people onto food stamps than to adopt policies that would free them from addiction to government and give them the dignity of a real job and the self-sufficiency that goes with it.”

  1. our labor force is about 133 million
    12.8 divide by 133 is about 9.6%
unemployed. This does not include the 10 million permanently
out of work, nor does this account for the fact that the
economy has shed 400,000 a week for the last year
which is 20 million people churned through the labor market.

churn , this is “change” that obama brings

  2. The 2008 election of Barack Obama was a good test for the press and what they are willing to do for Obama…they started working for him at the starting gate…When reports came out about Tony Rezko, his house and all their history together there was no pressure from the media…Anyone else would not have gotten away with that.

Obama held dual US-Kenyan citizenship from December 12, 1963 until August 4, 1984, his 23rd birthday. However, he became a Kenyan “citizen by birth” on August 4, 2010, the day on which Kenya adopted a revised constitution. Chapter 3, Section 14 of the 2010 constitution provides as follows: “A person is a citizen by birth if on the day of the person’s birth, whether or not the person is born in Kenya, either the mother or father of the person is a citizen (of Kenya).”

You’re right, hope does spring eternal. What’s with all the lawyers who can’t even come up with 25k for a cause they believe in. It doesn’t elicit alot of confidence. Success, in the legal profession, is normally measured by one’s bank account, and I dare say for a successful lawyer 25k is mere lunch money. This is how we end up with the Orly Taitzes of this world. As an attorney, he should be embarrassed to ask for such a paltry sum….and for a project with such an “iffy” record of success….just sayin’…

Actually Larry Klayman has been involved in trying to expose the Clintons in the 90’s and now Obama. I have often given to his work years ago but found that his cases don’t seem to go as far as he wants them to. (That is putting it politely.)
Truthfully, I wonder at this point how any state in the Union will refuse to put O on the ballot. There are two factors involved. First of all, the feds would probably sue any state that attempts this. Secondly, federal funds would be cut off to that state. What state is going to take that risk? It is deplorable, but I’m afraid it is the ugly truth.

It would seem to me that if a leader forces illegalities under the Constitution that the man should be impeached….not bargained with by a time consuming and argumentative “new” act. It’s already there…..affirm it by going after the one who’s breaking the current laws!! Anything else gives some type of affirmation to his unlawful move.

Have you read Jim Marrs book. CROSSFIRE?
This is the most complete and correct investigative book I have yet to read on the Kennedy murder in Dallas.

Also “Dr.Mary’s Monkey” and “Me and Lee” gives insight from the New Orleans point of view. Dr. Mary Sherman was a cancer researcher who was murdered shortly before Jake Ruby was to be retried. She had ties to Ruby.

“Me and Lee” author was Judith Very Baker, a young cancer researcher genius who was an associate of Mary Sherman and Lee Harvey Oswald’s lover during the summer months he spent in New Orleans. Judith Baker is still alive and has recently come out of hiding to tell he story….which ties Oswald, Jack Ruby, David Ferrie, the Mafia, the CIA, and FBI into a neat little bundle. She has a powerful story to tell.

A recent find of audio tapes of Jackie Kennedy accusing the “Texas oil barons” of murdering her husband has been found. She made these tapes only months after Dallas. An ABC special will soon be aired on this.

Anyone who still thinks Oswald was the “Lone Gunman” really needs to brush up on the facts.

  28. Bix Weir Santorum’s Turn In “The Big Show”!

    Posted By: RumorMail
    Date: Saturday, 11-Feb-2012 04:30:06

The Rick Santorum domination yesterday is stunning the “politicos” and now everyone is having to re-think their take on the GOP Primary.

But while the political commentators and mainstream media scratch their heads about how strange the GOP Primary process has been, if you’ve been on the Road to Roota you were clued in long ago about how it will all go down.

For those of you who missed my Special Report on the election in early January you can find it here:

SPECIAL REPORT: The “Good Guys” Election Strategy

    http://www.roadtoroota.com/public/795.cfm

“So the plan is to spread the vote in the early stages of the election process while continually teaching the people about Ron’s philosophy. The rise and fall and then rise again of various candidates is all planned and orchestrated while Ron Paul’s message is spread. His power and influence grows and his message is solidified. At the same time not one candidate runs away with the votes but rather they are spread widely amongst the many.”

Although it’s too soon to declare victory for the Road to Roota election analysis we get closer and closer by the day. It’s mid-February and there is still no definitive Republican candidate, Sarah Palin continues to dance around the endorsement issue and the biggest, most galvanizing event in this election year has yet to strike…THE GLOBAL MONETARY CRASH!

I had a few email exchanges yesterday with Sean over at SGTreport.com about the election as he very angry about the blatant vote rigging thus far. Sean is doing a great job in supporting Ron Paul and helping to expose voting fraud. You can keep up with his posts here:

    http://www.SGTreport.com

As for vote rigging and fraud – YES! It is rampant and widespread. But is it out of control of the Good Guys who are steering this election? NO! All is still going as planned and it is all under control. The Good Guys know what they are doing. They know what is at stake and they know what is needed to get the masses on board with Ron Paul.

For those interested in these twists and turns listen in to Sarah Palin’s speech at CPAC this weekend as it should be an excellent set up for her to endorse Ron Paul in the coming months.Watch her stress the economic issues and put less emphasis on the foreign policy issues. Sure, she will still lob in the “We must protect our allies – especially Israel” Republican talking points but that will be just part of her script to maintain the support of the Republican base. Come March, after the monetary crash, her talking points will be “We have gone bankrupt and we can’t afford to be the policeman of the world any more.” then… “We must bring our troops home to help with our problems in our own country.” then finally comes…”He’s the only one who’s been right all these years so I AM ENDORSING RON PAUL!”

Can you see how it all plays out? The show continues and although the outcomes at this point are still unknown the stage is being set for the RETURN of our REPUBLIC!

So sit back and enjoy the entertainment…it’s about to get much more exciting!

I share your sentiments concerning Boehner. If there is any good to come out of this administration it would be that it has shown us how totally corrupted our government has become. I used to think how corrupted the lower government officials in Mexico were until I realized how little they were being paid and had turned that corruption into a kind of tip system.
What I find particularly disgusting about our government officials is that they have no such excuse. It would appear on the surface, at least, that the mindset of our politicians is little different , or perhaps worse, than a common thief. I also believe that corruption itself has become the ” rules”
    of the game.
In view of the foregoing, it appears that we are no longer a nation of laws, but rather a nation of extortion and blackmail, which can only exist on the level we see if the bureaucrats themselves cannot bear up under scrutiny.
Makes one wonder what they’ve got on Boehner…
Also a good argument for allowing the primaries to go on for long periods so that these clowns can be vetted rather than simply foisted upon us by yet another corrupt system.

  43. Yes coldwarvet…….he’s all that too and more.

  44. SueQ,

Just my opinion, but it appears to me that they should be more concerned with the liberals and socialists infiltrating the American politics and Conservatives than the Libertarian party.

I don’t particularly care for the Libertarian party, but they are by far the least threat to this country – compared too…..

  45. William | February 11, 2012 at 10:16 am |

    SueQ,

I read that a couple of days ago. I does hold some validity of truth to it. Dean does a great job describing Orly’s willful injection into everything. Its unfortunate, but as time continues to move forward, it becomes more and more apparent that Orly is out for the fame and the recognition of bringing Obama down. I do support any effort by anyone to expose Obama, but not at the risk of losing that same opportunity for some vanity title.
    *******************************
William, I think Orly Taitz sees Obama as an enemy, to be feared, not just a mistake, in the interpretation of the natural born Citizen clause. She sees a criminal, a forger, a thief of stolen identity, and a thief of treasures from our treasury, and our Country’s heritage. If Orly Taitz thought someone had information that will lead to the removal of this usurper from our White House, she will search it out, and go after Obama with guns loaded.

If Orly Taitz sought information from the Joe Arpaio posse, it was only to strengthen her hand at the GA court hearing, where for the first time, she was allowed to enter evidence into the court record. If someone has the goods on Obama lets see it, put it on the table, and end this usurpation!

  46. Coldwarvet,

It appears to me that if an attorney wishes to challenge a State on its laws, one should at the minimum read the State laws prior to challenging it.

For example. If a State has no age limit to be eligible for the office of Mayor, how can an Attorney challenge the age limit if a 10 year old runs for said office? They can’t. What would the argument be?

The common sense side of me says that someone should have had their State elected officials amend the law, whereby future challenges could then have a basis for a legal argument.

Sometimes, it doesn’t require being overcomplicated about things. But that’s just me being me.

  48. William | February 11, 2012 at 12:08 pm |

    jbjd,

    I agree with you.

In case many may be wondering which states ballot challenges can be challenged, jbjd listed them on her website – quite sometime ago. (2 years ago if my memory serves me correctly).
    **************************************************************************
Yes, I listed these states; and I had a couple more for which I could have drafted citizen complaints of election fraud to the state AG – this is different from ballot challenges to the SoS – but no citizens from those states came forward to initiate the work!

William, know what really bothers me? Since these nasty thieves have stolen an idea without even bothering to read the articles and, especially, the exchanges with readers; they still have no idea what they are talking about! Therefore, their ‘efforts’ are doomed to fail. Yet, each time they fail, people wrongly think this means, the mechanism for redress won’t work!

People make the ballot laws in their states; and they alone must see that these are carried out. I don’t know why the same people who complain about encroaching federalism to the detriment of states’ rights; keep insinuating themselves into individual state fights, recruiting people from across the country to bombard the state government with letters, calls, etc., further burdening these already cash-strapped states.

  49. Bob,

I understand. I just think Orly should do her thing and others take their approach, rather than Orly injecting herself into their cases. Unless they welcome her of course. I do support Orly and her efforts.

    Just my opinion.

  50. This giffords naming a boat thing stinks to high high politcal heavens. She is a public figure thats her job. If she was gop. Never ever would happen. The gifford shooting has many strange things that happend. Like a false flag opp. Why cause ivsaidcfrom day one. She would survie and be paraded for politcal. Gain. Right on the money

  51. coldwarvet | February 11, 2012 at 12:24 pm |

    William
I am in total agreement. If one wishes to truly understand, it is all published there and, when thoroughly read, will be thoroughly understood. It is rather curious that none of these so-called attorneys have used this methodology. Especially since all the heavy lifting has already been done. They just put their collective heads down and continue to charge the same brick wall over and over…
    ****************************************************************************
Then, at some point, we have to ask ourselves whether the real motive of these people is to unseat a President who they claim to believe is Constitutionally ineligible for the job. Or, whether it is to be the person who (came up with the idea that) unseats him.

I only disagree that those lawyers involved in ‘missing the obvious’ are un-intelligent. I think by leading you astray, they know exactly what they are doing.

  52. SueQ | February 11, 2012 at 12:10 pm |

“I fight very strongly against libertarian influence within the Republican party and the conservative movement.” ~ Rick Santorum

What an utterly stupid thing to say. Jim Demint needs to take him to the wood shed.
    *******************************************
Citizens need to be Constitutionalists, first, and foremost, is what Santorum is saying.

  53. jbjd,

I agree with you. I am having to again rely on memory and may not be entirely exact. If my memory is correct, you spoke quite frequently about the State of Texas and its various laws which were unique and ample enough for challenges.

    But again, relying on memory.

  54. “Since these nasty thieves have stolen an idea without even bothering to read the articles and, especially, the exchanges with readers; they still have no idea what they are talking about!”

‘Stolen an idea’? Isn’t such ‘theft’ the foundation of legal practice? Read the law, read the cases, search for an argument, make it. Who calls it stealing?

    An unfortunate mindset.

“There is no limit to the good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.”
    -General George C. Marshall

  55. jbjd
Are you implying that these lawyers are deliberately sustaining a crisis for the purpose of personal gain?…how unlawyerlike…(sarcasm) I have a feeling that initially their motives were genuine but as time went by they found, to their complete amazement, the potential to legally fraud the public.
I have been wondering, probably as much as the DNC, when the fatal blow will come…

  56. William………………
Once again I repeat ………..Until our courts systems are purged of Soetoro protectors it really doesn’t matter whether legal action is filed or not……….because NONE will ever be heard until the hold that the DOJ has upon american society is broken. It is very clear that NO court is ever going to allowany action against Soetoro to go forward………even contests against his eligibility. We have a completely corrupted, and tyranous government at hand …………..WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

  57. Bill G | February 11, 2012 at 1:59 pm |

“There is no limit to the good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.”
    -General George C. Marshall
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

That quote came to mind earlier today and for some reason I thought it was Reagan who said it. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was about to do a search.

Anyway, my feeling is that certain people in the “birther” movement have inflated egos at times (not always, but sometimes) to the detriment of our ultimate goal. That was my concern about Orly injecting herself into Sheriff Joe’s investigation. I could very well be wrong about her motivation, but I tend to think not.

    Anyway, thanks

  58. iF AMERICANS ARE REALLY SERIOUS THE HOLD OF THE DOJ ON OUR COURTS COULD BE BROKEN IN 15 MINUTES. All you have to do is read the Declaration of Independence if you want to know how to break the hold. Then you have to unify and HAVE THE GOLF BALLS TO ACT, instead of TALK. Alone you are shoveling manure against the tide.

  59. Bill G, obviously, you still don’t understand that states have individual ballot laws and that, bringing a complaint in a state without a ballot eligibility law, which fails; could jeopardize the same complaint brought in a state with such laws, which otherwise would have had a chance to succeed. Here’s the example.

The laws of several states including GA, HI, MD, SC, TX, and VA require candidate eligibility to be on the ballot. NH does not. More than 500 citizens from across these 6 states filed complaints of (criminal) election fraud to their state AG, the state’s chief law enforcement official. While these were pending, a group descended on NH, a state without ballot eligibility laws; and filed a ballot challenge with the SoS, claiming “fraud.” (They also involved the state legislature, again, blurring the doctrine of governmental separation of powers.) The NH SoS rightfully rejected the challenge.

It would have been bad enough if the only damage done was that countless citizens who believed President Obama was not Constitutionally qualified for office now believed, the state government in NH was ‘in on the fix'; or abandoned valid complaints in their own states believing these had no chance of success. But what could have happened as the result of this reckless challenge, could have been much worse.

The A’sG in those ballot eligibility states could have piggy-backed on the decision of the SoS in NH, knowing most citizens would fail to understand this was a case of ‘apples and oranges.’ Then, it would be the job of people like me to try to explain to everyone, a ballot challenge in NH which has no ballot eligibility law; is not the same thing as a complaint of election fraud viz a viz the ballot, in a state like TX.

Given that citizens like you, who actively participate in a blog like CW, still don’t understand the difference in state laws, instead, always reverting to posting platitudes about who gets credit for what; how on earth do you suppose, other less well informed citizens would understand?

  60. bob strauss | February 11, 2012 at 1:44 pm |

Citizens need to be Constitutionalists, first, and foremost, is what Santorum is saying.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Then Santorum should have said that. Of course hindsight is always 20/20. Nevertheless, he could have used the Liberals/Socialists/Communists infiltration into American political groups which would have been accurate. But instead, he used the Libertarian party.

I do question why he said that, and named them, but not the real threats. The only way that makes any sense, is if he was taking a pop shot at Ron Paul. Which in all likelihood is what he was doing. I don’t think Santorum was actually trying to express concerns of infiltration; otherwise he would have said it like it is an named the true threats to this country and the Republican party.

Maybe he will get a chance to clarify.

The “fatal blow” came in January 2009, in Bob Bauer’s infamous footnote in Hollister. As others have already said here, it’s all on my bog. (Do a search for Bob Bauer.)

  62. Today I was watching tv and sort of surfing. I landed upon MSNBC breifly…….but long enough to hear a greasy looking talking head spew his bullshi# that a large percentage of DEVOUT Catholic women have used, and still use contraceptives. He is OBVIOUSLY an OBOT,because he SETS HIMSELF UP AS THE ALL KNOWLEDGEABLE KNOW IT ALL ABOUT EVERYTHING ON EARTH. He is trying to speak for ALL Catholic FEMALES. I am wondering what they would have to say about him taking it upon himself to speak for them. In reality here is just one more HALF WIT BLOWHARD.

  63. bob strauss
I believe what Santorum is trying to do is to more clearly separate himself from the Ron Paul platform, not because he necessarily disagrees, but to distinguish himself hopefully, without upsetting the independents too much. There will be a certain amount of Libertariaism to every Conservative but not to the extent of anarchy.

  64. I personally invite all OUTRAGED female Catholic church elders to write exactly how they feel about the SLIME who signed the bill which he now is stepping back from, and send the letter to him directly at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

  65. Here is an excellent interview with Jim DeMint which lasts about 29 min. but well worth your time.

“The new debate in the Republican party needs to be between conservatives and libertarians,” says Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). “A lot of the libertarian ideas that Ron Paul is talking about…should not be alien to any
    Republican.”

    http://reason.tv/video/show/jim-demint-interview

  66. Once again I say that NO POTUS no matter who he is or how intelligent he is or anything else can wave a magic wand and suddenly 1 million jobs appear out of nowhere. That notion is about as absurd as those who think he can do it. Neither Santa ClausORUM, NOTHING Gingrich,or the FUGITIVE will be able to produce INSTANT jobs. Better get used to the notion that the lack of jobes is going to be with us FOR AS LONG AS SOETORO continues to act AGAINST business as a whole. He thinks in his obviously drug fogged mind that people who are at the edge of losing their homes, compounded by having damn little to eat, are going to look upon all f this as positive, and vote for him AGAIN. But if they do vote for him again it is THEY who are the problem. Fool me once shame on you…………fool me twice SHAME ON ME.

  67. …a P.S.
I believe that at some point in time Mr. Santorum is going to have to tell his constituency exactly what he thinks a Conservative is, as opposed to drifting about the periphery and reacting to what others are advocating.
In other words, he must establish a platform and stick with it. This was what Reagan did, but it was easier for him as they were his personal beliefs. You cannot afford to have your constituents drifting around out there with you. You must anchor them at some point and to do that, you must offer them something they can wrap their minds around without making it too complicated.

  68. The news today isn’t good either……..the cost of groceries to feed your family just went up another 2.5%. Just feeding your family is gonna get hairy, PEOPLE. Now lets extrapolate this a little and ask what is the grocers going to do since grocers notoriously have 1% or less margins. They can pass it on to their customers or they can absorb it, or they can simply close up,and put their employees on the street. My guess is that in time the latter will occur. When the grocers shut down in mass then the people who sell their produce, their pork,and/or their beef to the grocers are going to feel the pain as well then the people who raise those products will no longer be able to market their products. Again I offer……..it could get really hairy very soon just to feed your family. Especially if you are working from FOOD STAMPS already.

  69. OldSalt,

I completely and utterly agree with your comments pertaining to the DOJ and corruption. Now it begs the question: Do we vote for the lessor of 2 evils presented to us, of which will never resolve the corruption – or do we group together and show a no confidence vote by we the people?

At what point in time, do we the people quit accepting the less than just because there is an “R” next to their ballot name?

I for one am tired of it and refuse to support such nonsense.

But that’s just me and my opinion.

  70. Ther could be a point which qwhen reached that the GOVERNMENT will no longer be able to pay for all of the food stamps that it issued. Just like MEDICARE damn few doctors have been reimbursed for last years patient office visits. Many Doctors have already closed their practices, and have accepted positions as staff doctors at hospitals, and clinics. Hav you ever tried to purchase a car with FOODSTAMPS? I believe that GM is not going to REMAIN solvent much longer. If people don’t have the money to buy cars then the total vehicles sold in any given period is going to diminish as well. I wonder if the taxpayers will allow another bailout to GM. Just like Packard,Studebaker, (American Motors) they finally fell by the wayside as automobile producers. However the remnants of the company still exists today (AMG). But with war material winding down my guess is that they too will soon be bankrupt as well.

  71. Oldsalt@3:06

I hear you! But what you said brought to mind what it was like for me so many many years ago when I first got married. My husband made minimum wage. We had one beater car and I had a part time job. It was difficult to say the least. We ate a whole lot of pasta. Meat was rare. In fact my weekly treat was a fresh bag of chips and a quart of chocolate milk on payday. Somehow we made it. That’s because we are we are from American stock. Americans just deal. They don’t give up. They overcome. Take courage!

  72. The OBOT wordsmiths, and their numeral inverters counterparts, keep rewording government reports and figures to look like everything is HUNKY DORY. Go to the respective sites for yourself…..Read what they say, then compare it to what FOX and the others are saying. You will not find any truth being told anywhere. It has ALL been reworded, twisted and hammerred upon so that it looks like UP. But when you see the real figures you will know immediately that the truth is DOWN.

  73. Bye Bye All.

Dr. Paul is the only one who can beat BO for the simple reason he is NOT a part of the ELITIST NEO CON BELT WAY BOYS CLUB…..he is someone the people trust….. the GOP is VERY AWARE OF THAT and that is why they are tip-toeing around now trying to bring the RP supporters into their fold…….GOT NEWS FOR THEM…….IT’S TOO LATE….WE CAN’T BE BOUGHT…..DR. 80. There are many things that disturb me about this administration but some of the most disturbing to me when it comes to the court cases is how Mr. soetero’s influences are involved in a case. I am thinking about Orly’s case in California when the law clerk for the judge was previously in Chicago in Mr. soetero’s law office. This month Jablonski was defending Soetero but was also a member of the SoS Kemp’s election committee. In New Hampshire the election committee was rigged with Democrats. Then we have Kagan who refuses to recuse herself though there is obvius paritality. Unethical behavior reallly disturbs me since it is so pervasive. It has made me a very cyncial person since I don’t see a way out or a cure for our country. The DoJ is certainly not doing his job nor will he as long as Mr. Soetero is in power.

jbjd, are we allowed to see what the State of Hawaii used to determine Obama a natural born Citizen and eligible to be on the ballot?

  82. Of course JBJD is full of it again. Secretary’s of State in all states have an oath to “support” the Constitution. Voters in Fla. have an oath to protect and defend” the Constitution. The states must answer the voters as to their concerns, and the voters have the power to force the SOSs to abide by the Constitution. Where there is an oath, there is power to uphold that oath. SOSs ministerial duty must have discretion to the eligibility requirements of A2S1C5 or else they are violating their oath, and the rule of ministerial duty, that it must be done w/ “discretion” (Johnson v. Mississippi, 1866). NO one in Fla, for instance has made any claim that Obama is eligible, including Obama, and the DNC, who claim that Obama is “duly nominated” (which of course means only procedurally, not constitutionally). The SOS has no power to determine eligibility, but he does have the responsibility, by his oath, and the SCOTUS holdings of the resonsibility of ministerial duty, to show discretion to the US Constitution. In Fl. the eligibility of a candidate can be challenged , by correct contest of eligibility, decided by the judiciary (Cherry v. Stone ). Circuit courts are courts of equity (where the law seems to lock out we the people, it is a last refuge). The states can’t, by law say that the President doesn’t need to be eligible any more than they can say negroes cannot vote– DUH!!!!. JBJD showing her true colors again, as a Usurper protector, and whiner.

bob, I wrote up a citizen complaint of election fraud for HI. It’s more than 2 years old now, and I haven’t revised it; but it explains what efforts went into obtaining all documentation that got the name Barack Obama on the HI ballot in 2008; with what results. (It’s in the sidebar of my blog.) (Not all links still work; but no one has requested a new complaint.)

Four Priests Charged In Vatican Banking Scandal
    Rob Wile|February 09, 2012|

Italian investigators have charged four priests with laundering money out of the Vatican’s official bank, the Institute for the Works of Religion, the National Catholic Reporter’s John L. Allen Jr. writes.

The Italian daily l’Unita was the first to report that the priests were being investigated for laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It’s the latest in a series of investigations into Vatican finances dating back to 2010. In December of that year, Pope Benedict XVI decreed an updated anti-money laundering law for Vatican finances.

I don’t think DeMint is prepared to endorse anyone at this point. He is merely pointing out that conservatives have nothing whatsoever to fear from the Libertarian point of view as we are pretty much cut from the same cloth. (Which is why it is so disturbing that Santorum said what he said). I don’t believe for a minute that Demint speaks from both sides of his mouth. He is an honorable man.

  86. After reading the back and forth about efforts at the state level to keep Obama off of the ballot, I’ve come to the conclusion more than ever that none of the efforts, whether by citizen complaints or efforts to change the state laws, or whether by court cases, is going to succeed.

We are under a dictatorship already for practical purposes, and when that happens, the DOJ, other governmental agencies, and the court system, whether administrative or otherwise, are controlled, so that all efforts to hamper or remove the dictator are thwarted in one way or another. Only the ballot box remains, and that is susceptible to fraud and manipulation.
It is getting more dangerous by the hour.

IMO he is NOT endorsing anyone because he favors the DOC…..he has to stay in the GOP fold for now but if you listen to him speak which I have heard several of his interviews and I consistently get his email…..he believes in the DOC’s message….he is CONCERNED the GOP is NOT supporting Dr. Paul…listen closely and you will hear what I mean! Never said he wasn’t an honorable man…..he will have to choose sides eventually….he can not support a BIG GOVERNMENT NEO CON which all of them are except for Paul and be a TEA PARTY favorite and a Representative of “we the people”…just NOT going to happen! DeMINT wants his cake and eat it too….he can’t have it both ways! I have called his office on several occasions and asked his staff why he isn’t coming out for the DOC or anyone else for that matter…still NO reply from him….I will let you know if I get a reply….usually months later!
