“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”…Barack Obama

“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States, for an outright ban, picking up [every gun]… Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in.”…Dianne Feinstein

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”…Heinrich Himmler

I always expect the most stupid manifestations of liberalism in California and they never disappoint me.

From Political Outcast December 31, 2012.

“California Crime Drops As Gun Sales Surge”

“Los Angeles officials recently lauded their gun buyback program on Wednesday that bribed gun owners with a Ralph’s gift card worth either $100 or $200, depending on the type of gun they turned in. On Wednesday, the LAPD collected 2,037 guns including handguns, rifles, “assault” weapons and one rocket launcher. In total, these buybacks have pulled in about 10,000 California guns since the program began in 2009.

While officials are celebrating these programs and saying that these events will make California streets safer, gun sales there have shot up significantly in the past 10 years. In 2002, 350,000 guns were sold in California, but last year, over 600,000 were sold. So a couple thousand guns were turned in last week, but that’s nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands bought last year alone. What’s also telling is the overall drop in crime that corresponded to the increase in gun sales:

“Gun deaths and injuries have dropped sharply in California, even as the number of guns sold in the state has risen, according to new state data…. During that same period, the number of California hospitalizations due to gun injuries declined from about 4,000 annually to 2,800, a roughly 25 percent drop, according to hospital records collected by the California Department of Public Health. Firearm-related deaths fell from about 3,200 annually to about 2,800, an 11 percent drop, state health figures show. Most of the drop in firearm-related injuries and deaths can be explained by a well-documented, nationwide drop in violent crime. The number of California injuries and deaths attributed to accidental discharge of firearms also has fallen. The number of suicide deaths involving firearms has remained roughly constant.”

Expect the gun control advocates to attribute any drop in violent crime in California to these silly gun buyback programs. But what they don’t tell us is how many people are turning in their guns because they’re old and defunct. Maybe some of their guns aren’t even worth $25, so the prospect of getting $100 in groceries sounds like a great deal.

What they also don’t tell us is how many criminals are turning in guns that they used to commit crimes. Since there are “no questions asked,” the police are taking the evidence and destroying it for the criminal.

And as for the rest of the gun owners who turned in their weapons, they’re only making themselves more vulnerable to the criminals who wouldn’t dare turn in their guns.

These programs will have little to no effect on violent crime rates. However, what is already having an effect is the proliferation of guns to law-abiding citizens in California who understand that when seconds count, the police are minutes away.”

From Californiality January 1, 2013.

“New California Gun Laws 2013″

“New California gun laws for are now in effect as of January 1, 2013.

The list of new California gun laws for 2013 signed by Governor Jerry Brown also includes two delayed gun laws which go into effect one year from now.

Following afterward are existing state firearms laws that took effect at the beginning of last year.

New California Gun Laws 2013

AB 1527 – Long Gun Open Carry Ban

The new gun law prohibits open carry of unloaded long guns, such as rifles and shotguns, in public places. This is a follow-up to last year’s AB 144, which prohibited the open carry of unloaded handguns in public places. Read the official text of AB 1527 because there are several other provisions within the new gun law. Law now in effect.

SB 1315 – Imitation Firearms

The new gun law authorizes Los Angeles County to enact and enforce an ordinance that is stricter than state law regarding the manufacture, sale, possession or use of any BB device, toy gun, replica of a firearm or other device that is so substantially similar in coloration and overall appearance to an existing firearm as to lead a reasonable person to perceive that the device is a firearm and that expels a projectile that is no more than 16 millimeters in diameter. Read the official text of SB 1315. Law now in effect.

Senate Bill 1367 – Deer, Archery Season, Concealed Firearms

The new gun law revises the Fish and Game Code authorizes a peace officer, whether active or honorably retired, or a person with a valid license to carry a firearm on his or her person while engaged in the taking of deer with bow and arrow, but prohibits taking or attempting to take deer with that firearm. Read the official text of SB 1367. Law now in effect.

  1. In this year, 2013, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union
address will occur on the same day.
This is an ironic juxtaposition of events. One involves a meaningless ritual
in which we look to an insignificant creature of little intelligence for
    prognostication.
    The other involves a groundhog.

  2. Loved that RMinNC and had to copy and send on to others. Thanks for the laugh today! :-)

Also thanks to CW for the article. I live in CA and desperately trying to find a way out. The liberals have literally destroyed this beautiful state and we are a perfect example of what the country is going to look like very soon. :-(

  3. It has just come out today that a “semi-auto” was NOT used in the Newtown killings. There were four hand guns only inside the school. Why did the coronor go on and on about how the wounds were obviously made by an automatic assault weapon? And will the media (or Feinstein) care?

I find myself forced to state that THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF MORONS AMONG US who ARE ABSOLUTELY STUPID ENOUGH to meekly hand over their firearms. These are the people whose life styles are exactly the same as that of MMMMMMMSSSSSSSS. FEINSTEIN. They are the MENTALLY WARPED, SEXUALLY DEVIATED, UNWASHED, ODOROUS, NOSE PICKING,DRUG HEADED,COWARDS, POSSESSING ONLY ONE WORD VOCABULARIES, WHO WALK AMONG US,AND WHO THINK THEY ARE “BAD ASSES”. THEY ARE RIGHT . MOST OF THESE SORT OF PEOPLE DO HAVE SERIOUSLY “STINKING ASSES,” ALONG WITH A HEAVY DOSE OF OFFENSIVE ODOR FROM EVERY OTHER PART OF THEIR BODIES AS WELL. OUR JAIL HOUSES ARE FULL OF THESE “BAD ASSES”. MOST ARE GIVEN FULL PRESSURE FIRE HOSE SHOWERS UPON ARRIVAL AT THE JAIL. MANY OF THE INCOMING “BADASSES” ARE INFESTED WITH “CRAB LICE” , HIV, AND A HOST OF OTHER DISEASES,AND DISORDERS. I GUESS WHEN YOU WALLOW IN FILTH,SOME OF IT IS GOING TO ATTACH ITSELF. At any rate to willingly surrender your firearms is tatamount to being one of the same sort of people I have described.

  9. John in Illinois

Gun grab starting in Illlinois … Infowars page…..Illinois Senate President John Cullerton will reportedly introduce a draconian bill today in the Illinois legislature that will effectively ban all modern firearms, criminalize their owners, and subject their guns to confiscation by the Illinois State Police.

  10. Thornton Parsons

RMinNC, that is just hilarious. May I borrow?

  11. Here today, media breathlessly salivating all over themselves and the camera on live TV about a burglary from a vehicle where two bad guys took a “SEMIAUTOMATIC WEAPON” AND A BACKPACK WITH SUPPOSEDLY 50 ROUNDS OF AMMO. They proceeded to make several excited updates where the “SWAT team” was pursuing the two bad guys.

Long story short, backpack found, bad guys found, weapon found, NO ONE INJURED OR KILLED.

What an embarrassing display of media bias. The assault on Our Second Amendment has spread to the everyday slimy talking heads. Get Ready, this war will ramp up very quickly.

If you feel the need to turn in your firearms, turn them into me. I will give you a gift card to your favorite retailer, just like barry and co would do.

  12. Starla………….
Hopefully the Texas firearms dealer, will offer a free comprehensive course in the use, care of, and the LAWS which govern the carrying, and exactly when a person is legally justified in using LETHAL FORCE, especially to school teachers. To adequately train someone in close quarter use of a firearm requires substantial understanding of both the physics related to a speeding bullet,as well as the criminal laws involved. When you have a classroom filled with tiny children, a great deal of discretion is required. I would hope that no outsider could ever again gain uninvited entry to a classroom, or even to the inside of the building to begin with. There should be a communication device at the entrance of school grounds, which communicates with security personell inside of the school. At which point the Security people decide if the entry of a person to the building is appropriate. Like is the case at any ATM there is also a camera through which any security personell can observe you,and discuss why you are asking for admission to the school property. Of course all of this formality would be excluded to EMERGENCY personell, who might have to remove a child for transportation to a hospital. But we must bear in mind that even the absolute best concieved, and designed security system is ONLY AS GOOD as those who oversee it’s use. I am 100% in favor of adding fully armed off duty officers to the hallways of schools throughout out our country. I do not see where such deployment of off duty officers would raise the operating cost of the schools by a whole lot,and I would also think that ALL of the people in any county would gladly pay a few more dollars each year on their property taxes if the added tax funds would help to guarantee the safety of the students.

  13. CA Warrior…………
You are 100% correct. If you are not already a law enforcement officer you should consider becoming one. You definitely have the correct attitude. Hav a great day sir.

  14. Henry kissinger bought a place near sandy hook in 2008 and george w bush just so happened to go along for plane ride. S kent. Hum. Big old farm house good for training actors

  15. John in Illinois………..
If I lived in Illinois I would now arm myself with a small arsenal . The state CANNOT LEGALLY OVERRIDE the US Constitution. Sure they will try,but I would think that if this action is actually tried by the state of Illinois that a Civil War could easily begin in Illinois…..and much sooner than anybody has heretofore expected.

  16. THORNTON….

Of course you may…anything I put on CW is fair game….have fun

  17. EVERYBODY…………..
If you are unfamiliar with the HOW,and/or when involved with the use of a sidearm,a rifle,or a shotgun,I would strongly advise you to get to a firearms dealer and choose a weapon with which to defend yourself with ,BUY THAT WEAPON,then TRAIN,TRAIN,AND TRAIN yourself,or signup in a comprehensive course, which teaches it all. This would be comparable to the courses which future law officers are schooled in. The cost is high, but if you do not do this the cost could be MUCH HIGHER for you, but in terms of you’re own safety, and the safety of you’re family as well. I believe that we are soon going to see an all out Civil War. You need to know how to handle a host of firearms not just a sidearm. If you have a friend who is a veteran GRUNT who has seen action ask him /her if they will show you basics of defending yourself on a battlefield. You NEED TO KNOW THIS,if you expect to survive.

  18. ……..everybody who has never gone through either basic military training,or a boot camp, needs to get to one of the militia groups and train with them for about a month, in all aspects of both attack, and defense. This knowledge could save your lives. There are active militia groups in Michigan,Illinois,Kentucky, and several Southern states as well. One of these is “OATHKEEPERS” Anybody with a computer can find them.

  19. RMINNC………….
Absolutely love your analysis of the alleged “GROUNDHOG”. Why is it always the POOR ANIMALS who have to take the heat? Maybe there is another SUB ANIMAL somewhere that is more responsible for the mistaken identity between the groundhog and Soetoro.

  20. Truthbetold11
I personally detest Henry Kissinger. I look upon him as a non edible “KNACKWORST”, he sorely needs to return his home country and try to save it. We really don’t need people like him trying to tell us how we should behave. We have until recently known exactly how to behave, whether he thinks so or not. He is about like a TIT on a BOAR HOG………….USELESS!

    – In conducting further research, Plaintiff has come across the case of Palm Beach County Canvassing Board v. Harris, 772 So.2d 1273 (Fla. 2000) (Exhibit 1), legal authority that was somehow overlooked by the court and the parties. The Supreme Court of Florida has thus conclusively already ruled that this court has jurisdiction to consider and rule upon Plaintiff Voeltz’s election challenge on eligibility and fraud. This court must respectfully grant an evidentiary hearing. -

    Hey All,

Why no discussion on the fiscal cliff legislation that was passed by the House yesterday 257-167, and the Senate 89-8?

I have searched for both the bill itself AND a roll call vote and can’t find either one. I HAVE learned that in the Senate, 3 Democrats and 5 Republicans voted against the bill and in the House, 16 Democrats and 151 Republicans voted against it. My Congressman voted against the bill, but BOTH REPUBLICAN (yeah right) Senators voted FOR the bill.

Another one of those bills that we have to pass so we can see what’s in it.

I’ve heard the bill is 30,000 words.

I believe that this is the best I could find on what the bill has in it, but I’d still like to read it for myself in those 5 days Obama promised us we would have before he signed the legislation so we can see what the Government is doing to us:

    http://www.foxbusiness.com/government/2013/01/02/fiscal-cliff-legislation-passes-congress-after-high-stakes-battle/

When will the bill be available to the Public?

    Hey All,

Another “keep spending like drunken sailors while we kick the can down the road” bull crap.

But I’m sure there’s someone who is either pregnant or getting a divorce or has admitted adiction to something that is MUCH more important than what this Government is doing to us.

    UP is DOWN.

  27. Interested Bystander

    Zach,

I’d like a place where the vote is published.

I know how my Representatives voted now, but it took me a while to find it.

And where is the BILL ITSELF? I’d like to read the bill, or at least TRY to decipher the gobbly goops of whereas’s and hereto’s and blah blah blah and the “remove this word and add this word” crap that goes on in every bill that is passed.

But I’d still like to give it a try, especially when people start informing us that this or that is in the bill.

I’m sorry, but for the most part I would like to VERIFY that what is being reported is actually what is in the bill.

Call me a bit skeptical of the MSM……………..

    Zach,

    Thanks
