Rand Paul announcement March 5, 2013, Glenn Beck states big, Paul Illinois GOP dinner, Obama Administration use of attack drones, US citizen surveilance, Paul 2016 presidential bid
“In the Department’s view, a lethal operation conducted against a U.S. citizen whose conduct poses an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States would be a legitimate act of national self-defense that would not violate the assassination ban. Similarly, the use of lethal force, consistent with the laws of war, against an individual who is a legitimate military target would be lawful and would not violate the assassination ban.”…Obama DOJ Memo

“I just want you to know that we are working on it (gun control)….We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”…Barack Obama

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”…Heinrich Himmler

A few minutes ago Glenn Beck stated that Rand Paul would make a very big announcement on The Blaze today. Many are speculating that it has something to do with Obama’s use of drones to spy on US citizens.

From Illinois Review March 5, 2013.

“If Republicans in Illinois are beaten down and discouraged, they didn’t show it at last night’s Northwest Suburban Republican Lincoln Day Dinner where more than 650 people came out to hear U.S. Senator Rand Paul.

Ryan Higgins, the Republican Committeeman for Schaumburg Township, attributed the success of the dinner to high enthusiasm among party regulars as well as an influx of new members.”

“”We meet three times a week with the Republican caucus,” Paul said. “With the group now down to 45, we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well and sometimes it’s an echo chamber. If you say, ‘I’m for the Second Amendment,’ you get slapped on the back and everybody loves you. But you go down the list, and it’s not always such a consensus. Once you get to the Fourth Amendment, you’re not getting everybody.”

“You may not realize this, but they gave up on the Fourth Amendment when they stopped issuing warrants before examining your bank records,” Paul said. “I don’t know about you, but everything’s on my Visa card. You can tell if I go to a doctor, you can tell if I drink, if I gamble. For goodness sake, shouldn’t you have to issue a warrant before you look at my Visa bill?””
“”I hate terrorists as much as anyone, and they should be killed on the battlefield,” Paul said. “But we can’t let drones fly around threatening U.S. citizens. What you need to understand in this controversy over drones is we’re not talking about someone with a grenade launcher on their shoulder. Some of these people being killed by drones are in their house or in a cafeteria.

“I’ve said a lot of bad things about the government,” Paul said. I don’t want them coming to my house with a drone.” Paul said, emphasizing the Obama Administration’s plan to use drones, even within America boundaries, is vague and without geographic boundaries.

“Can’t we have a little more assurance from the president that he won’t attack American citizens without a trial?”

Privacy issues, drones, prisoner rights are all a part of the discussions that have come up in recent U.S. Senate hearings, he said, from the nomination for Intelligence Chief Brennan to the Benghazi incident and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Paul told the audience Secretary Clinton should have resigned immediately after Libyan Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others were killed in Benghazi.”

“Paul is considering a bid for the White House in 2016, and he met privately with local Republican donors such as Jack Roeser and Bruce Rauner before dinner.”

    Paul: Obama in guns-to-jihadists cover-up?

  2. citizenwells

“OBAMA IN GUNS-TO-JIHADISTS COVER-UP? Senator raises questions about role of CIA annex in Benghazi”

“During a radio interview last night, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky, questioned whether the Obama administration may be covering up the role played by the CIA annex in Benghazi in a possible scheme to run guns to rebels in the Middle East.
That annex was attacked this past September 11th along with the special U.S. mission in Benghazi.
Charged Paul: “There has been a lot made of the political cover up of President Obama’s administration saying this (Benghazi attack) had something to do with a homemade film from some guy in Los Angeles. But in reality the question is, or the secondary quotation is, why would they do a cover up? What are they covering up?”
He continued: “And I have a feeling that it had something to do with the CIA annex. You know, a week before the ambassador was killed in Libya, a ship left Libya and docked in Turkey and it actually interviewed the captain of that ship who said there were arms on board and that he actually witnessed the rebels taking the arms and disputing over who got what. That there were grenade launchers; that there were significant arms being transferred.
“Now that doesn’t say the CIA was involved, but that begs the question (what) was the CIA annex there. The Libyan government is said not to have known that they were there. And is that the reason for the cover up? So there are a lot of unanswered questions.”
Paul was speaking last night on WABC Radio’s “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio.”
Any arming of Middle East rebels would be considered highly controversial. Widespread reports have documented how Syrian and Libyan rebels consist in large part of jihadists, including members of several major al-Qaida groups.
This is not the first time Paul has publicly raised suspicions on alleged gun running in Benghazi.
During a senate hearing on the Benghazi attacks last month, Paul asked outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: “Is the U. S. involved with any procuring of weapons, transfer of weapons, buying, selling, anyhow transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya?”
“To Turkey?” Clinton asked. “I will have to take that question for the record. Nobody has ever raised that with me.”
Continued Paul: “It’s been in news reports that ships have been leaving from Libya and that may have weapons, and what I’d like to know is the annex that was close by, were they involved with procuring, buying, selling, obtaining weapons, and were any of these weapons being transferred to other countries, any countries, Turkey included?”
Clinton replied, “Well, Senator, you’ll have to direct that question to the agency that ran the annex. I will see what information is available.”
“You’re saying you don’t know?” asked Paul.
“I do not know,” Clinton said. “I don’t have any information on that.”
That section of the exchange with Paul was almost entirely ignored by media, which instead focused on the Republican senator’s earlier statement that if he were president he would have relieved Clinton of her post.
The alleged weapons transfers to the rebels in Syria would not be the first time the Obama administration reportedly coordinated weapons shipments to Middle Eastern rebels.
In December, the New York Times reported the Obama administration “secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar last year, but American officials later grew alarmed as evidence grew that Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants, according to United States officials and foreign diplomats.”
The Times reported the weapons and money from Qatar “strengthened militant groups in Libya, allowing them to become a destabilizing force since the fall of the Qaddafi government.”
Last week the U.S. announced $60 million in nonlethal aid to Syrian rebels, while the White House continues to deny it was involved in coordinating arms shipments to Syrian fighters.
Last month, the New York Times reported the White House rebuffed a plan developed last summer by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and then-CIA Director David Petraeus to arm and train Syrian rebels.
However, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials speaking to KleinOnline, the U.S. has been coordinating Arab arms shipments for months now to the Syrian rebels. At issue is that the rebels consist in large part of al-Qaida-linked jihadists, according to scores of news reports.
The Middle Eastern security officials further described the U.S. mission in Benghazi and nearby CIA annex attacked last September as an intelligence and planning center for U.S. aid to the rebels in the Middle East, particularly those fighting Assad’s regime. The aid, the sources stated, included weapons shipments and was being coordinated with Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Days after the Benghazi attacks, KleinOnline broke the story that late Ambassador Christopher Stevens himself played a central role in recruiting jihadists to fight Assad’s regime in Syria, according to Egyptian and other Middle Eastern security officials.
Stevens served as a key contact with the Saudis to coordinate the recruitment by Saudi Arabia of Islamic fighters from North Africa and Libya. The jihadists were sent to Syria via Turkey to attack Assad’s forces, said the security officials.
The officials said Stevens also worked with the Saudis to send names of potential jihadi recruits to U.S. security organizations for review. Names found to be directly involved in previous attacks against the U.S., including in Iraq and Afghanistan, were ultimately not recruited by the Saudis to fight in Syria, said the officials.
This scheme seems to mirror the Petraeus-Clinton plan as described by the New York Times.
Poking further holes in the White House denial of supporting that plan, it was revealed in testimony last month the arms-to-rebels plan had been endorsed by the leaders of the CIA, Pentagon and State Department.
If, indeed, President Obama rejected the arms plan, it would mean the White House went against the recommendations of not only Clinton and Petraeus but also outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey.
During Senate hearings on Benghazi two weeks ago, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., asked Panetta and Dempsey whether they had supported a plan “that we provide weapons to the resistance in Syria.”
    “We do,” Panetta replied.
“You did support that?” McCain asked again.
“We did,” added Dempsey, who was sitting next to Panetta.
Neither Dempsey nor Panetta elaborated on their positions.”

The assasination of a US Citizen is obviously now OK if the US government does it,just because they don’t like somebody,or his /her politics, etc. But the SLIMEY BASTARD who is usurping the WH is sooner or later going to feel the hellish anger of the American people if he starts murdering Americans. NO MATTER WHAT HIS EXCUSE IS. REMEMBER BENITO MUSSOLINI?

  5. oldsailor80

I believe that at least 50,000,000 people in America would kill anyone who they disliked. It is reasonable to suspect this, because morality in America DOES NOT EXIST. It has been replaced by a seething under current of general stupidity, anger, hatred, illiteracy, along with criminal, and deviate behavior. In addition there are a large number of people who go to church on Sunday, sit through the pastor’s sermon then as they pass throught the front door of the church to leave are telling a friend a FILTHY joke. Often they are not yet even off church property. These are sometimes the very people who scream the loudest when they think somebody has done something to them. Oh yeah I nearly forgot …………they are Christians…..har de har.

Eric Holder refuses to rule out using drones on American citizens

“AG Holder Asserts Authority to Conduct Drone Strikes on U.S. Citizens

    Mar 5, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Sen. Rand Paul received two pieces of correspondence regarding the legality and constitutionality of the U.S. government using lethal force, including drone strikes, on Americans and in U.S. territory. Sen. Paul sent three inquires on the matter to President Obama’s nominee to be Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Brennan (HERE, HERE and HERE). He finally received responses from both Mr. Brennan and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder on one item of inquiry.

Attorney General Holder stated in a letter to Sen. Paul dated March 4, 2013: “It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States.”

“The U.S. Attorney General’s refusal to rule out the possibility of drone strikes on American citizens and on American soil is more than frightening – it is an affront the Constitutional due process rights of all Americans,” Sen. Paul said.

Sen. Paul also received a letter in response from Mr. Brennan, clarifying the CIA does not have the power to authorize such operations. Notably missing from Mr. Brennan’s response are answers to the myriad other questions Sen. Paul posed to him in previous correspondence.”

    Paying the Price

    By Paul R. Hollrah

It’s time we all asked ourselves a very important question, perhaps the most important question of our time.

    · Assume we had a white man who claims to have been born to a foreign father and an American mother.
    · Assume that this same man… with no money of his own… found a way to attend Ivy League colleges and universities, all on someone else’s dime.
    · Assume that this man has never held a real job. Assume he’s never run a profit-making business and probably wouldn’t understand the economics of a sidewalk lemonade stand.
    · Assume that this man is a committed socialist/communist/Marxist who has no love for our country and has no appreciation for what the capitalist system has produced.
    · Assume that this man has never worn a military uniform, hates and despises the military, yet sees himself capable of commanding the world’s most powerful military force.
    · Assume that this man believes that government is the source of all economic activity and that government must eliminate all unequal outcomes created by the capitalist system.
    · Assume that this man is totally without honor, without integrity, and without conscience and that his only real talent is the ability to read sheer nonsense from a teleprompter and make it sound believable to the most ignorant and least informed among us.
    · And finally, assume that this man has the unmitigated gall to run for president of the United States.

Ask yourself: Is it possible that such a man could ever be elected president of the United States?

    ——————————————————————————————

The answer of course is a resounding HELL NO !!!

But it happened, not once, but twice, in America. How is that possible. Are all American’s just plain stupid and believe everything they hear and see on their television. The answer to that question is also a HELL NO !!!

Then how did this “nobody from nowhere” run for and get elected to the highest office with the strictest public criteria for morals, ethics, personal conduct and work ethic standards?

It happened because the media put America to sleep with their song about this great “community organizer” from Chicago that was going to solve all of our problems and make America whole again. They (the media) refused to hear, see, or broadcast anything that reflected a negative opinion of the “massiah”. And why was that?

All major media sources (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) are owned by no more than SEVEN major Corporations in the US. All it took, was for the Chicago cabal to grease the palms of these Corporations and like magic….walla!!! no negative, or truthful and real broadcasting would occur, and it hasn’t occurred for the past five years.

The media will never report the truth about this fake pResident regardless of how much proof is placed before their eyes. Any newsperson who violated that rule will be fired immediately and never work in television again. One of America’s most respected news personality’s Bob Woodward recently recanted his charges proving that point. So to control the people, control the press.

Then the “unknown quality” only had to gain control of the courts and the silent coup would be complete. I can’t prove it, but again, control from the top down works in any big organization. I am quite sure word filtered down from the Federal court level, that cases against Obama, (aka Sorteora, Bounel Dunha, et al, etc) would not be entertained. Those judges that could not be bought off, most likely were threatened by the cabal. It works well in Chicago, why not elsewhere.

Then we have the idiots in Congress. They were the easiest to control. Both parties are really only one big party. All members of Congress will join in lockstep and march to whoever has the biggest drum at any given point in time. For the American people to think the Republican’s will register any REAL Constitution objections to anything this usurper is doing is PURE FOLLY. If they were, they surely would have been screaming their heads off by now with all the unConstitutional overrides being created almost daily by the Obama gang of theives. For all practical purposes, the two party system of government is dead in America.

SO WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE US….THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?
Unfortunately, as a realist would say, “we are presently up sh*tcreek without a paddle”. Until the American people awake from their slumber and demonstrate they will not tolerate this behavior any more, it will continue…and it will grow much worse. Three hundred million mad screaming Americans can make a hell of a noise.

But when the sleeping giant does awake, all hell will be too pay….it has happened before, it will happen again..

It would be well to remember what Admiral Yamamoto, Commander of the Japanese fleet said right after his fleet conducted the surprise attack against Pearl Harbor. He said, “I do not cherish this victory, because I fear we have awaken a sleeping giant”.

The sleeping giant can and will awake again at the right time. The Republic will not fall. ,

This is just the ramblings of an old soldier who has been there and done that, and will go again, if necessary.

  23. If the GOP still refuses to expose Obama, as he and his staff act with venomous indicative vengeful motives to willfully harm American Citizens in order to prove his point, neglectful of his duties and those of his appointed offices, then the GOP better react with impeachment charges immediately and expose him in that category in the least. These people should be tried and jailed. Period.

  24. RMinNC,

Agreed. I would add the GOP needs to grow a pair.

  25. Obama and the Dems as well as his speaking mouth to the media, continue to talk about the budget cuts? What budget? They haven’t presented one! When is one, one single reporter at the WH going to stand up and say this? What budget?

  26. As far as the reports of Jeb Bush running for office, he can kiss it. Same is true with Karl Rove and his next bout of “electable” republicans per his political geo-graphical analogy. When those upcoming and rising so called stars such as Rubio and Jindal run for office, they will still be in shock from a lack of party turn out. They cannot avoid the train for the lack of not seeing the tracks.

  27. Glad to see you are feeling better William…

reference your take at 4:32pm….if you HAVE NO BUDGET to cut in the first place…….then you can spend all you like….

    that’s the Chicago way.

  28. In other words, the GOP is still willing to gamble on Obama’s record to take control, and again, will lose.

  29. RMinNC,

I am feeling much better, and of course some of the happy meds inflate that feeling. :-)

  30. Hugo Chavez, dead

  31. RMinNC,

I could paint the house right now, without ever moving. :-)

  32. Ah, really Honor First? Will Obama be attending?

  33. WILLIAM….If your feeling that good….
come on down to Charlotte..I will let you paint mine !!!

  34. Honor First….

I think Soetora is going to give the uelegy, if that country has a teleprompter, if not he will lip synk………Putin is singing the Communist national anthem, “The National”.
Maxine Waters is taking up donations for her favorite charity…herself !

Bullets + surviellence + tanks + gun control + drone strikes on U.S citizens = extreme paranoia on the part of our CiC. Not healthy. Call the folks in the white coats. This man is very unstable. And he has WAY to many enablers.

  37. oldsailor80

Right on baby! When you control the press you control the NITWIT PEOPLE, but NOT NECESSARILY the people who KNOW UP FROM DOWN. The trick is to get people off their ASSES, unite and do what screams to be done. My personal belief is that HELL will freeze over first. People are too busy enjoying their PHONEY good life. Wait till one of them receives an AIR EXPRESS message from one of Soetoro’s DRONES. It contains only one word, which even the stupidist person will painfully understand. The word is ….BOOM! That is a really emphatic message ….don’t you think? Maybe the contents of the message from the drone will get the attention of the MORONS.

white House announced today it will cancel the dailt tours of the “Peoples House” because of the sequester. There is no money available for this, but at the same time:Hiring continues in spite of sequester. 400 new positions added to current rolls. To include:

The sequester cuts are now officially in place, but many government agencies appear to be hiring freely anyway.

The U.S. Forest Service on Monday posted help-wanted ads for a few good men and women to work as “recreation aides” this summer, the Internal Revenue Service advertised for an office secretary in Maryland, the U.S. Mint wanted 24 people to help press coins, and the Agriculture Department said it needs three “insect production workers” to help grow bollworms in Phoenix. What is a boilworm used for?

Plus it was just announced that the Secretary of State is GIVING those towel headed people in Pakastain 25 million dollars for some unknown reason. Perhaps to improve their methods of killing us.

Perhaps the WH should stop all foreign aid, and stop hiring, then there would be money for tours of the Peoples House.

On second thought: Who in the hell wants a tour of “Africa in exile”…for that I can go to the Discovery Channel and it’s free.

  41. OldSailor,

If it’s a government worker not showing up to work at a green energy site that doesn’t exist, and playing poker on taxpayers dime, while getting paid and double dipping, then let the drone do its job. Of course, I’m being factitious. But lest start with ridding ourselves of government waste. I wonder why it takes 3 government workers to handle one piece of paper and calls it job security? The postal Service is a good place to start in my mind. You are an excellent businessman Oldsailor, and I’m wondering your thoughts (most likely the same as mine) why the USPS has lost over 50% of their business, but maintains 100% employment due to Federal Union contracts that claim “No” USPS laborer can be laid off. Which also negates the problem that consolidation of hubs cannot be obtained. We are all aware in the private sector that if you lose 50% of your business, then you need to cut 50% of your work force and real-estate. You and all of know that, but the government and union defend not taking action. To me, here is the sequester deal to make up the billions

a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you!

The husband, typically a non-romantic type, replied ,

“I am on the commode. Please advise.”

  43. RMinNC,

  45. Here’s a losing battle all men face,

Why is it that I check the toilet seat every time I use it to determine whether or not the seat is in an up or down situation depending on my needs, but my wife cannot do the same and blames me? Put it down when done, but not up when done?

  46. WILLIAM…..

thats called different strokes for different folks….lol

  47. I think the President is mentally ill. He shows many signs of extreme paranoia. He’s firing military officers, buying hollow point bullets, guns, tanks for domestic purposes…spying on anything that moves. The
latest…….. he’s justifying the use of drones to kill Americans on U.S soil. He’s really sick! Someone needs to take him away. Is there a doctor in the house? Or maybe in the senate?

Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez and his legacy of plunder

Dead at 58, Hugo Chávez leaves behind a country in far worse condition than it was when he became president, its future clouded by rivals for succession in a constitutional crisis of his Bolivarian party’s making and an economy in chaos.
    ……
Shortly after coming to office, he rewrote the constitution to his liking and aggressively set out to rig elections and stifle adversaries in the legislative branch and the courts. Unable to brook criticism, he turned his fire on the independent news media, eventually silencing most voices of opposition by bully tactics and economic intimidation.

His Bolivarian regime rewarded supporters and punished opponents, giving rise to enormous corruption and the creation of a new class of greedy oligarchs with political connections. Unfortunately for Venezuela and for all his political skills, the president was both an incompetent executive and a worse economist.

For Venezuelans, the worst aspect of the Chávez years was the soaring crime rate. Venezuela has become one of the most violent countries in the world, with nearly 20,000 murders recorded in 2011 and a homicide rate that some experts say is four times greater than in the last year before Mr. Chávez took power.

As a result of all this, Venezuela today is a polarized society divided between the intolerant supporters of Mr. Chávez’s Bolivarian Revolution and a democratic opposition that, against all odds, has waged a courageous fight for a democratic alternative.

But without discarding “Bolivarian” principles and restoring the country’s democratic institutions, no one will be able to stop the downward spiral of Venezuela that began the day Hugo Chávez was elected president.

  57. Zach,

Got any suggestions for a good movie? Maybe I’ll have time later. I’m thinking I better shovel a path from the house to the car before it gets to heavy. Then again, what good will that do if I can’t get out of the driveway?

    Take care.

  58. Jonah,

That was a very powerful ad! I hope it is widely viewed.

  60. Congressman: Hospitalized Benghazi Survivors Using Aliases

    http://www.breitbart.com/breitbart-tv

It appears Benghazi survivors who are still recovering at medical facilities may be listed under different aliases. Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R – UT) told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday, “We happened to find the father of the person who was still in the hospital and without breaking any trust here but being as open and as transparent as I can, the father told me, ‘If you had called in to the hospital previously you would have never of have found that person, because they changed his name on the hospital records.”

“DHS Backdooring Gun Registration in Missouri”

“The Department of Homeland Security is attempting to backdoor gun registration in the State of Missouri.”

“This will have legs – long legs. Missouri cannot be alone in this scandal; doubtless numerous other states have complied with DHS requests as well. We are seeing but the tip of the iceberg.”

  65. Zack,

Troubling indeed. (re: article @ 9:27)

  66. Ever wonder why TV news appears to echo the party line…………….even Fox? No wonder more and more are turning to the internet for their source of news. No wonder that Beelzebub wants to control it.

TV is a useless source for news IMHO.

  67. SueQ,

Bottle up some of that snow and send it down here to South Texas.

For a really great movie google Bert Rigby, You’re A Fool.

  68. Ray,
I would if I could but I can’t……Har dee har. I keep putting off the task at hand. Shoveling. Not anxious to bundle up and tackle this mess. Can’t wait for spring. Darn that ground hog! Typical Obot.

  69. Is the following at all surprising considering the ruthless regime we are now under?

Email tells feds to make sequester as painful as promised

Announcement of the decision — made in an email from the White House Visitors Office — came hours after The Washington Times reported on another administration email that seemed to show at least one agency has been instructed to make sure the cuts are as painful as President Obama promised they would be

In the internal email, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service official Charles Brown said he asked if he could try to spread out the sequester cuts in his region to minimize the impact, and he said he was told not to do anything that would lessen the dire impacts Congress had been warned of.

  70. William………
I need only two words to answer your question regarding why it takes 3 people to do the job of one these days. It is called ORGANISED LABOR, which in the same vein is responsible for a huge percentage of the failure of American business to remain competetive.

  71. Cabby,

I have to agree with Bob Woodward…………………. “I haven’t seen this kind of madness in along time”.

  72. Sueq……….
Thanks for the laugh. Whenever I hear the expression “They’re comin to take me away”, I think of the days when Ross Perot tried to run for POTUS…..Rush Limburger had a little thing set to music wherein it ridiculed Ross Perot. It was a thing of background music along with a chant “They’re comin to take me away, ta ta, they’re comin to take me away”. It was a voice which was made to sound like Perot himself.. Rush used to play the thing several times a day. Every time I hear the expression it CRACKS ME UP BIG TIME. SO MUCH for associative thought! HAR HAR

  73. CabbyAZ………..
I dearly wish that the FEDS would adopt a policy of making life as miserable as possible for everybody………..because it will mean that Soetoro will put his foot in a huge pile of BULLSHI# and in the process it will take a hell of a toll on his insane (alleged) leadership position.

  74. ANALYST ESTIMATE CHEVEZ FORTUNE AT AROUND 2 BILLION DOLLARS

Criminal Justice International Associates (CJIA), a risk assessment and global analysis firm in Miami, estimated in a recent report that the Chávez Frías family in Venezuela has “amassed a fortune” similar to that of the Castro brothers in Cuba.

According to Jerry Brewer, president of CJIA, “the personal fortune of the Castro brothers has been estimated at a combined value of around $2 billion.”

“The Chávez Frías family in Venezuela has amassed a fortune of a similar scale since the arrival of Chávez to the presidency in 1999,” said Brewer in an analysis published in their website.

Brewer said that Cuba is receiving about $5 billion per year from the Venezuelan treasury and in oil shipments and other resources.

“We believe that organized Bolivarian criminal groups within the Chávez administration have subtracted around $100 billion out of the nearly $1 trillion in oil income made by PDVSA since 1999.”
    ——————————————————————————————

Not bad money for someone who was only a poor Lt. Col in the banana republican army of Venezuela army in 1995. I wonder how those poor bastards who are eating out of trash cans in that country feel about their “dear leader” after hearing this news?

This news makes me wonder just how much “our dear leader” has skimmed from the pocketbooks of the American people? As if we will ever know.We don’t even know his real name. But I will bet once he sees how much Chevez has taken, he will be pissed off and want at least as much as he took.

I guess the bottom line is, once you become a politician, you are then declared a legal thief and can take whatever the traffic can bare.

I personally hope the people of Venezuela rise up and take their country back, and in the process, confiscate all the wealth he has taken from the people of that country.

  75. Here is one FOR EVERYBODY…….OT but important!
The HEADCHEESE of the Dallas Fort Worth branch of CAIR…Mr. Moustache Carroll, has given an address wherein he has stated that the MUSLIM WORLD is ABOVE THE LAW OF THE LAND. I wonder what he would have to say about ….HANGING JUDGES, who probably wouldn’t give a damn whether they hang Muslims, Catholics,or Protestants, none of whom are above the law of the land.

  76. RMINNC…………..
The root of the problem in Venezuela is the fact that most of the people there are so illiterate that they think eating out of a garbage can is HONORABLE, and this is why they allegedly love Chavez…….they are simply too damn stupid to know any better.

  77. ……….and as such they received exactly what they asked for……..an absolute JERK. Where else have we witnessed this same exact STUPIDITY recently.

  78. Oldsailor…. good afternoon old friend….you said:

The root of the problem in Venezuela is the fact that most of the people there are so illiterate that they think eating out of a garbage can is HONORABLE, and this is why they allegedly love Chavez…….they are simply too damn stupid to know any better.

    To that I agree….may I also add…..

that illiterate and stupid thing you mentioned can also be applied to the people here in the good old USofA…….do you really think the Americans will think its an HONORABLE thing once “our dear leader” introduces us to the garbage cans?

I guess then we can say of the American people that …”We were simply too damn stupid to know any better…and that would be an accurate statement” !

  79. TIME FOR A LITTLE HUMOR ON THIS ROLLER COASTER:

A man and a woman who had never met before found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a transcontinental train.

Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room,
they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly, he in the upper berth and she in the lower.

At 1: 00 AM, the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying,…………’Ma’am, I’m sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I’m awfully cold’

‘I have a better idea,’ she replied ‘Just for tonight, let’s pretend that we’re married’

‘Wow! ………….. That’s a great idea!’, he exclaimed.

‘Good,’ she replied, ‘Get your own damn blanket.’

After a moment of silence, ………………… he farted.
    The End
    ———————————————————————————————-

If anyone thinks this is too gross this afternoon, I apologize. It’s just the years and years of Infantry training coming out in me…and the devil made me do it ….lol

  80. LOL, RMinNC…………LOL. If that makes Me gross for laughing?……Oh well.

  81. Where do you get this stuff, RM? My husband would have loved it.

  82. It mostly comes to me by email from all my GROSS friends….we all like a good chuckle any time.

I put some of them on here to lighten the conversation..

.a person could go bananas trying to cope with all the crap the Obama adminsteration throws at us every day.

  83. Rand Paul is now into his fourth hour of filibustering Brennan nomination. He’s trying to get people alerted to the drone question and get real answers from this regime. He’s just mentioned 1984, reading it years ago and seeing a lot of those examples happening today. The real question I think is asking when and where the pResident declared, via congress, war on America. No one asks or demands that. He’s citing all kinds of cases of unenumerated rights.

He’s giving all kinds of examples where drones are now beginning to observe almost every aspect of our lives….the privacy question re: open spaces.

Interesting to watch….of course if he were a lib dem he’d be less reasoning and using more shouting with emotional tactics.

Emphasizing rights of natural freedoms given by God and enshrined….not given by gov. Sen. Lee now being offered time to offer some more facts….about the sanctity of human life. Connecting the “snuffing out of human life with a drone” to the ease of abortion….the cheapening of human life and taking away the freedoms from those decided to be “threats” for any reason. Yes, most interesting for a change…even if one feels the argument not being made strongly enough. Discussing what is meant by “imminent” danger as basis for killing by drones.

  84. SueQ | March 6, 2013 at 12:05 pm |
    Cabby,

I have to agree with Bob Woodward…………………. “I haven’t seen this kind of madness in along time”.
    *********************
And that is exactly what it is, SueQ. One could also add “deceit”, “evil” and the lowest of “Chicago gangsterism” to the mix.
Hope you don’t overdo in shoveling……Maybe the stuff will melt quick? Best.

    OldSailor,
Unfortunately things are going to have to get much worse before the “low-information” folks out there begin to get the message. I’m not talking about those who are in the hopeless group, like thumb-sucking radicals, but there are multitudes of normally sane, thinking people who don’t seem to have a clue, because all the news they get, if any, is from the LSM. There seems to be such a loss of ordinary curiosity.

  85. Ted Cruz, after grilling AG Holder earlier about this new possible “legality” of targeting Americans with drones, is now offering some remarks….esp in saying that his disappointment is that 99% of Rand’s colleagues aren’t there as well defending this most necessary objection to this terrible threat to Americans on American soil.

  86. It would be nice if Mike Lee and Ted Cruz brought in a big bag of Chick Fil A and gave Sen. Paul a rest.

  87. Even with Paul now arguing this important question I’m still disappointed with his backing the scary Hagel….to satisfy his dad’s pretty nutty base.

  88. Rand Paul is doing a magnificent job. He is still going and his topics all day have been spot on. He’s taken on everyone of the left’s damamging agendas. Good for him. This is our govt. operating the way it should for a change. He had the guts to do this the old fashioned way and he is doing it well. thanks to those repubs who have helped him out. They all should come into that chamber and support him. This has trended all over the net and Twitter. He is doing something no one else had the courage and fortitude to do. Like him or not he’s doing a great service to this country right now.
