“IRS official who oversaw unit targeting Tea Party now heads ObamaCare office”
“The IRS official who led the tax-exempt organizations unit when Tea Party groups were targeted is now in charge of the IRS office responsible for ObamaCare, two Capitol Hill sources told Fox News.
The acknowledgement comes after the administration announced that the official’s successor Joseph Grant — who had only been on the job a few days — would be retiring. And it fueled criticism of the agency, as the outgoing IRS commissioner prepared to face lawmakers’ questions at a hearing Friday morning.
“Stunning. Just stunning,” Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said in reaction to the latest development.
That official, Steven Miller, will be in the hot seat Friday when he is scheduled to testify before the House Ways and Means Committee in the first congressional hearing on the IRS scandal.
The agency released a memo Thursday night that may give insight into Miller’s talking points at the hearing, although it was written by Grant.
The agency also directed those seeking a possible preview to Miller’s testimony to a frequently asked questions page on their website

Also scheduled to testify is J. Russell George — the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration — and the man whose report released this week exposed the IRS practice that led to Miller’s ouster (though Miller was apparently planning to leave the agency anyway).
President Obama, meanwhile, maintained Thursday that he didn’t know about the investigation into the IRS program until it was made public.
The ObamaCare official in question, Sarah Hall Ingram, had been serving as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations from 2009 to 2012 — the division included the group that targeted Tea Partiers — and has since left to serve as director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act division. That unit is responsible for enforcing parts of the health care law, including the fines associated with the so-called individual mandate — the requirement to buy health insurance.
Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn, citing her current position and history with the scandal-marred unit, reinforced his call Thursday for the IRS to be blocked from implementing the health care law. “Now more than ever, we need to prevent the IRS from having any role in Americans’ health care,” he said.
While still the commissioner of the Tax-Exempt and Government Entities Division, Ingram was assigned to head the implementation of ObamaCare at the IRS in 2010 after the law was enacted. It is not clear when she stopped being the head of the tax-exempt office or how active her role was there while she was implementing ObamaCare.”

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the Obama administration’s denial of asylum granted to the Romeike family, who fled Germany over its strict anti-homeschooling laws.
…….The Romeikes fled Germany in 2008 when they were subjected to criminal prosecution for homeschooling, which is largely illegal in their country. In 2010, however, the family was granted asylum by Immigration Judge Lawrence O. Burman, whose decision was overturned by the Board of Immigration Appeals in 2012. A three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit heard the Romeikes’ appeal on April 23rd and issued a unanimous decision against the family.
In its decision, the court said that the Romeikes had not made a sufficient case and that the United States has not opened its doors to every victim of unfair treatment.

I hate to say this, but I think it possible that the Clintons could be behind a lot of what is happening to the Obama Administration right now. The reason for the leaks (and the MSM beginning to pick up on the stories) is some Liberals don’t like what is happening.
I think it may go to foreign policy issues–the so-called “Arab Spring,” and what happened in Benghazi. If it was okay to overthrow Mubarak and Gaddaffi, why not Assad? Because he is pro-Iran. What is becoming clear is the pro-Iran policy of Obama. Assad is pro-Iran and Syria is one of Iran’s staging points for terrorism via Hezbollah. And there is the now tenuous alliance between Al-Qaeda and Iran in areas of common interest.
Stevens was supporting the overthrow of Assad, undoubtedly with State Department, CIA and Mrs. Clinton’s backing. But this was a no–no to the pro-Iran faction running the White House. So Mrs. Clinton was out of step with Obama’s goals.
Stevens was also favorite of Mrs. Clinton. I still think the Western Journalism article that Stevens was to be captured and traded for the Blind Sheik may be part of what was planned. It would take care of stopping his arms trafficking with Turkey’s backing to the rebels in Syria, and the release the Sheik, making Obama appear as the Grand Negotiator.
It all went south when the former Seals stepped in along with other embassy personnel to resist the terrorists. Hillary was required to be a “team player” for the moment, but now it is all beginning to come clear. Hegal, Kerry, and Biden–all pro-Iran. Jarrett, pro-Iran. Brennan, pro-Islam. We are being compromised from the inside out. Maybe some Liberals are beginning to wake up? The rumor is, Bill Clinton told his wife to resign over Benghazi. The payback, now, may be that the Left is turning on itself and against the unholy alliance it has had with the Muslim world. In any case, something must be coming out of the Left to cause this cascade of leaks. The Clintons are powerful people. Maybe they’ve had enough of Obama?

I’ve come to the conclusion that Glen Beck, like Alex Jones. is nothing more than an entertainer. If you listen to his radio show……it’s embarrassing. He and his side kicks sound juvenile sometimes. Both Beck and Jones often have some worthwhile articles. But it’s only enough to keep you returning occasionally. I have posted links to some of their articles in the past. And I probably will in the future. But I am not delusional. Neither has any desire to advance the truth. Their goal is to advance themselves.

I watched with delight the first round of IRS hearings. The outrage flew across both sides of the aisle, but most dems tried to lay blame to inadequate funding of the IRS or ambiguity of the tax exempt law.
It appears that the caseload of new tax exempt applications did not increase until 2011-12, yet they implemented their targeting of conservatives in 2010.
I kept waiting for someone to ask regardless of the ambiguity of the law or the staffing, why were liberal, progressive groups not targeted. Later in the hearing, one congressman finally asked. Also, I noted that the IG mentioned several times”not at this time” when asked about the depth and breadth of the corruption. It was clear, that he or others are continuing investigations into how far up the corruption went and whether criminal charges will be brought. And, finally a congressman from NY brought that up. The IG reassured him that follow up investigations are underway.
Also mentioned was the pressure the Dem Senators put on the IRS to investigate these teaparty groups. HAha, they can’t have it both ways now. They either encouraged the targeting or they are outraged by it. It will be interesting to watch them wiggle out of this one.
Since both the Washington dems and the elite press cannot show they are pleased with this blatant targeting of conservative groups , the phony posturing will be a comedy in itself. But we can all rest assured the investigations will continue. to try and stop them will display their true colors.
The most curious part is why the IRS leaked this story to begin with. Was it because of the whistleblowing testimony on Benghazi or something else??? Did someone finally grow a conscience ? That doesn’t make sense but then again, nothing lately has.

Dean M. Your theory about the Clintons being behind some of these scandal sounds very plausible. After Hillary was whipped for the nomination, you know Obama handed her the 2016 race as a bargaining chip. Secretary of State, wow, what better qualification could she add to her resume? So they played the game to stay in good graces of the Dem elites.
But now, it has all come back to bite everyone. I don’t know if she will recover from this after it all (hopefully) comes to light.
After the 2012 election, I was so depressed and worried for our future. The only way I could rationalize it and I posted it here, was that the only way the electorate would EVER wake up would be to allow O’s corrupt and inept regime to continue. With power comes greed and self serving mentalities.

What karma, eh? This serial felon began her criminal political career by falsifying legal briefs for the Watergate Committee, and participating in the partisan outrage concerning Nixon’s missing 18 minutes of Oval Office tapes.
Now, this harridan who has always wanted to be queen of the world could be politically incinerated by the release of the tape recording of her one-and-only call to Greg Hicks in Tripoli while four outstanding Americans under her supervision were being murdered ‘as she spoke.’
Now we just have to wait for a ‘John Dean’ Sir Galahad from within the State Dept. machinery to come forth during the next 3 to 4 months, exposing the fact that the Morsi-Abedin-Hillary scheme to ‘kidnap’ Chris Stevens, then magnanimously exchange him for the blind sheik. THAT reality will fully explain why Stevens’ total vulnerability was essential to Hillary’s quick in-and-out plan, and why she never called Hicks back to inquire about the welfare of everyone of our people on the ground. Why?
She and the entire wicked Obama crew were waiting for word from Muhammad Morsi that his Ansar Al-Sharia gang had an ALIVE STEVENS – not a dead American ambassador.
THAT’s what explains the 4-5 hour gap before the annex was attacked. It also explains the ongoing ‘stand down’ orders from the CIC. All those involved in this scheme were waiting to find out whether Stevens was alive.
He WAS indeed in the Ansar Al-Sharia run hospital. The doctor under whose care Stevens was placed stated on Sept. 12 that he had done everything possible to save him, but failed.
Morsi couldn’t confirm that Stevens was alive or dead until he received information from his operatives on the ground who had carried a nearly dead (and probably unconscious) Chris Stevens out of the burning facility, then into a vehicle, then to the hospital.
Once you understand that Morsi’s team was tasked to produce a healthy, live hostage. Morsi didn’t receive the bad news about his group’s massive failure for 4 to 5 hours. That’s why all of the co-conspirators in D.C. refused to allow our multiple special ops into that location.
THEY didn’t know that the plot had failed until Morsi communicated the news to this despicable woman………..’smartest woman in the world,’ you know.

This makes more sense to me than any thing I have heard yet…But I still think the plan originated in the White House between OBAMA and JARRETT..CLINTON was only the tool to move the project along.The article is right in one respect…Clinton traded her soul for Obama’s approval for a 2016 run…as of right now, her chances of this happening are neil to none……this is what happens when you spare with the Devil.
I do think a “whistle-blower” will come forward with explosive answers to BENGHAZI,.and I do believe BENGHAZI will be the KING KILLER…
All the scandals we are plagued with now are only designed distractions from the REAL PROBLEM for Obama…..

Good Morning! I too get pissed when Beck piles on about eligibility issue. I assume he his trying to bolster his credibility by being able to say – look, I was against the ‘birther’ thing from the beginning.. It’s hypocritical but I understand it. Glenn is one of few putting it all on the line to cover stories that no one else will cover. I subscribe to The Blaze (channel 212 on Dish) and I especially enjoy ‘real news’.. Like I say, I understand it but it still pisses me off.
