“Unemployment in the Greensboro-High Point metro improved only slightly in May, continuing a painfully slow climb out of the recession.
Unemployment dropped 0.3 percentage point to 9.5 percent, compared with May 2012, the N.C. Department of Commerce, Division of Employment Security reported Tuesday. The rates are not adjusted for seasonal patterns.
The state’s rate for May was 8.9 percent.
North Carolina has pockets of strong employment, including the Asheville, Durham-Chapel Hill and Raleigh-Cary metros.
But 41 rural counties still have unemployment rates above 10 percent.”

The article seems to be attempting to paint an improved employment picture compared to 2012.
But wait a minute.
Here is the report from the NC ESC, Employment Security Commission.

It appears to me and another well informed gentleman that I know, that since Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway purchased the News Record, the reporting on jobs and the economy has been watered down.

Obama leans to Leftwing Shia Islam. The Muslim Brotherhood, however, is Sunni fundamentalist. But here you had last August, Morsi going to Iran to make small talk and help bring the Muslim Brotherhood and Shiites together. That would suit Obama just fine. And Iranian born Valerie Jarrett.
But the Egyptian people began to get wind of what was happening and didn’t like it. So Morsi was going to use the military to put down the scheduled protests, just like Iran did a few years ago. But the military said, “NO. We will not fire on our own people. You have 48 hours to change your mind or you’re out of here.” Morsi refused, and now he’s out. That will not please Obama, nor the government in Iran, nor the Muslim Brotherhood. So what is the Muslim Obama going to do now?
Will Obama clearly show his hand so there can be no denying it anymore? When? When are our people going to stop the DENIAL and see this usurper for what he is? I ask that question every darn day.
Who’s side would our military be on if something like this would happen here? I guess we have too many “sheeple” for anything like Cairo .

I have on more than one occasion suggested that one of the ways we would be able to right this ship was to convince the “higher ups” in the military that we have lost our way.
I would also suggest that IF there were protests like what happened in Egypt here in the United States, the media would be screaming RACISM, that the “whites” didn’t like having a black man in the White House.
I’d be interested to know what our military would do.
Maybe that’s when Obama calls for the Russians to “help out”.

Hard to say. Our military has undergone a purge under Obama. It’s scary really. I fear that who ever is left will be thouroughly brainwashed in the “Obama way”.

As long as our Constitution is INTACT no country on earth can set foot on our soil without proper invitation. If things turn UGLY for Soetoro it is doubtful that Congress would allow the alleged foreign troops on our soil ,in spite of an alleged agreement with the UN. It would still be a prosecutable act of war against the US. I am not sure that there is an agreement with the UN which would allow them to ARBITRARILY invade our shores bbased upon a sole UN decision. The POTUS cannot bring a foreign power into the US to fight our people PERIOD no matter how powerful he might think he is. At some point he will find himself looking down the barrels of a million m-16s.,along with other assorted ordnance.

I have to say that the French got exactly what they asked for in the 1940s. They thought that Hitler’s occupation of France would be beneficial to France. I’ve spent 2 days crying, laughing, smiling all at the same time (didn’t know that was possible). I’ve watched so many (over 300 so far) videos of surprise military homecomings and can’t get enough. They are especially touching to me since I was a Navy brat (dad was career Navy, nearly 30 yrs, now deceased) and remember many homecomings though, in those days, nobody taped them. But these videos remind one of those brave men and women, past and present, who have given us the freedoms we still enjoy today, even though those freedoms are under attack. I’m also ever mindful of many who gave the ultimate sacrifice and whose homecomings were under far more heartbreaking and different circumstances. I’d like to thank all those who served here in CW’s site for your service! Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.

Old Sailor……you are exactly right on. Yes, I watched it (& cried again) as well as during all the other videos that have been submitted today. One might think that crying is all I do lately, but I’m really feeling touched deeply by a lot of things and trying sometimes to escape (on occasion) from what’s really happening in our country and around the world. The bad stuff is being instigated by some really evil people, of this I am certain. But God and people like you and many others in this site give me hope and strength that we may again defeat the Devil and send him packing. God Bless you, OldSailor81. I’m sure you and my dad would have had a rip-roaring time talking about shipboard days. 😉 He would have been 85 years old this year, but died at 55. My only brother was a Marine during the final days of Viet Nam and my oldest son was in the Navy and served in the Persian Gulf, first US ship there, the Midway, I believe. Forgive me but I sometimes get mixed up between the ships my dad was on and the ones my son was on. Doesn’t matter really, they are both precious to me and I’m so very proud of them.

We need to remember that each of them has family, extended family, friends, neighbors, etc. that will get hurt if the military shoots at us. They can’t have everyone safe with them. The “one” has no feelings for anyone else, but for those of you that are watching the homecoming videos, it should reinforce that they all have family and will want to protect their children and family.

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, fromPicasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art..
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, There was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands..
He said, ‘Sir, you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly… He often talked about you, and your love for art.’ The young man held out this package. ‘I know this isn’t much. I’m not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.’
The father Opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. ‘Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It’s a gift.’

I had the opportunity to watch a bullfight done the Portuguese way a log time ago in Spain….For those who have never saw a bull fight from horse back…it is truely a work of art…….It pits the bulls strength against the horses skill………….the horses were trained for many many years before they are allowed to fight the bulls in this manner….fighting a bull in the Portuguese way, the bull is never killed…but lives to fight another day……….
Bull fighting is now outlawed in most parts of Spain and Portugal ….
but the training of these magnificent animals continues….enjoy this video for what it is….a test of skill against strength..

There are only 3 times in my life to witness a bull fight. The first was when I was 8 years old and we would tease the bull at our neighbors farm and have it chase us intentionally. The second time (also 8 years old) was when our own bull got out and my father and us kids retrieved it, and while walking it back on the road, my father kept telling me to stop walking in front of it. Needless to say, it reared me between the horns and threw me all the way behind it with a couple of flips before I hit the road. The third time; well that was voluntary, as I rode 4 different bulls at the age of 15 during a rodeo.

It would seem that the O keeps hitting Americans where it hurts the most. Greetings to you, SueQ, and all here at CW! Hope your Fourth was happy and gratifying. I’ve been reading here but am in sort of a pensive mood lately. It is a combination of the high heat levels in AZ, plus my continuing ordeal re. extensive damage to my home. Thankfully the insurance company is coming through, but it took almost four weeks, so nothing can be done in the way of restoration until the settlement is received. God has been so good in this matter, but He is always good regardless of the outcome.
All of the posts today have been very good, and I can’t help but ponder the direction that Egyptian affairs have taken. One thing for sure: The media is keeping under raps the intensely negative, hateful feelings that so many of the Egyptians have been expressing against Bummer. Little wonder that the W.H. is keeping their comments restricted. They find themselves in a very awkward place. Yahoo!!!

In any event, if we take that presentation and add the other stuff we haven’t yet seen but is shown to V.I.Ps., there is simply no way possible for Congress to ignore it – other than outright complicity.
We will soon know those in Congress which intentionally ignore this overwhelming evidence and I promise, it will be reflected In the upcoming elections. Immigration is already a divider within the Republican party. Couple that with this issue spells absolute disaster next year.

Can’t help but think about how Bummer denigrated the U.S. on his initial “apology” tour over four years ago. He slandered and talked us down all over the world, especially in the ME. He used the world platform to try to shame America and turn the people of other countries against us to the hilt.
Now we see that his meddling and nasty talk have come home to roost. All over the world people are turning against HIM!! Look at the responses that have managed to filter out of Africa. Over there many of the good folk are appalled over his pushing homosexuality and abortion. Some in high places, unlike in America, have even had the fortitude to speak openly.
Then, of course, there is Egypt. You won’t see much in the media, but multitudes are openly deploring Bummer’s policies of pushing Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. They speak against Bummer himself, not the U.S. In fact, some are going so far as to warn us in America about HIM!!
There is bound to be much turmoil ahead for Egypt and other ME countries, because the Brotherhood is not going to back off quietly. I pray that the U.S. will not try to reinstate them into the presidency, but we all know what Bummer’s preferences are.

The issue here, as I see it, is not so much the “spying” as the NSA information gathering has been depicted…but the fact that this information has been “put to use” as a political weapon by this rogue administration…for both physical political damage and likewise, for the purpose of passive control of the population by means of a veiled threat against domestic personal security….”mind control”…communists are very good at this…
………but when people become HIGHLY incensed it is probable that no matter what sort of mind control,or blackmail is being used it will not change the outcome of S-H-O-V-E, SIMPLY BECAUSE DAMN FEW WILL BE THINKING OF ANYTHING EXCEPT THE NEXT TARGET OF OPPERTUNITY TO enter their rifle sights. If it happens to be a Russian uniform he might receive a 160 grain airborne message. at about 2750 FPS. Of course there could be just as easily a 180 grain airborne message sent at 3750 FPS. Either way the outcome would be the same.

Marine Corps Col. George Bristol was in a key position in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) chain of command the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. As such, he’s high on the list of people that some Republican members of Congress want to interview. But they don’t know where he is and the Pentagon isn’t telling.
Pentagon spokesman Major Robert Firman told CBS News that the Department of Defense “cannot compel retired members to testify before Congress.”

“They say he’s retired and they can’t reach out to him,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, told CBS News. “That’s hogwash.”
……….On June 26, the House Armed Services Committee questioned other military members in the AFRICOM chain of command in a closed hearing. The witnesses included Bristol’s former superiors: commander of Special Operations Command Africa Rear Adm. Brian Losey and former AFRICOM commander Gen. Carter Ham.
As to why the Defense Department made Ham available but not Bristol, when Ham is also retired from his post, the Pentagon said Ham was not yet officially retired.
