“Well, here we go again. Bank of America, a very large bank based in Charlotte NC is punishing it’s credit card customers for it’s lack of business acumen. This is a prevalent theme in modern day american business. Exorbitant salaries are paid to upper management, with “golden parachutes”, and when they don’t do their jobs properly, who gets punished. The customers and employees. Bank of America has a policy that appears rather arbitrary and unfair. Despite perfect payment records, credit card rates are being jacked up. Despite the fact that there have been recent congressional hearings into credit card companies and banks regarding their practices of affecting FICO scores and raising rates and heightened consumer awareness, Bank of America callously impacts good customers.”…Citizen Wells February 13, 2008

“Golden West Financial (WB), a longtime FICO skeptic, is one of the few mortgage lenders to minimize its use in recent years—and it credits that decision for its below-average mortgage losses.”  “The way we do business is a lot more costly, and cost was a big reason many competitors embraced credit scoring,” he says. “But some of our best borrowers had low FICO scores and our worst had FICO scores of 750.”…Bloomberg February 6, 2008

“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.”…George Orwell, “1984″

I did not start Citizen Wells to report so much on Barack Hussein Obama and corruption in our government.

My original intent was to report on injustice in general and our educational system.

One of the areas I would have preferred to address is credit reporting and its impact on the public.

I am very knowledgeable about the subject.

After my lengthy IT career I was involved in small time real estate investments and renovations. As a byproduct of that activity I dealt with a lot of lenders and consequently had to stay on top of my credit report and score.

What I learned during that process was shocking. The total lack of accountability of the major credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and Transunion as well as the companies reporting credit data.

I have owned a cell phone since the early nineties and the cell phone companies were some of the worst at reporting and correcting errors. After getting attorneys involved in one situation and after much time had elapsed, I actually received an apology from one of them. It was their error, I had pointed it out earlier with extensive documentation. Ironically I was sitting in the office of my coastal real estate agent at the time. She had helped with some of the real estate transactions.

My life has changed and I rarely deal with credit issues.

I have one credit card that I use and pay off every month. I just received a credit limit increase from them.

Last year I received a notice from State Farm of a rather large increase to my home owners insurance policy. I called and was informed it affected the entire state. My neighbors recommended Farm Bureau, I went with them and they saved me money on my auto and home owners policy.

I paid for both in advance.

I just received a statement for my auto insurance for 6 months. It went up some.

They pulled my credit report. I have not checked it in a while since I have not borrowed money.

They found a problem and used that as justification for an increase.

I did not authorize having my credit report being pulled.

It turns out that they can anyway.

I did some research.

Under some circumstances they are allowed to. This is a grey area which I will explore further.

So naturally I atempted to get my free credit report.

I was unable to do so. I think I know why now. They have not updated my current address even though I have been living here over 3 years.

Instead of writing them for a copy, in the interest of time I signed up with Transunion for a trial credit monitoring, score and report.

I had no intention of paying them $ 17 per month for this. Back in the day I used one for approx. $ 35 a year. But I needed it then.

I logged on, immediately found some errors and attempted an online dispute. This was not allowed.

I next dialed a number provided. A lady from India or Pakistan (I assume & I should know….IT background). She was difficult to understand (God bless her) and kept asking for my “mailing address.” I kept explaining to her that I had a physical address that I received some mail at and a billing address as well. They had an old billing address and I pointed it out. I finally spoke to a supervisor, apparently also from the area of India. She spoke better English but still didn’t get it. She next wanted to go over every item in the report. I explained that I just wanted to dispute a few. In the past this was done simply online or with a easily understandable human.

I explained that it was their responsibility to keep the information accurate. They did not even have my billing address on file even though they had the credit card info.

At an impasse, I stated that I was extremely dissatisfied with Transunion, nothing personal against her and said goodbye.

I next canceled my Transunion service. The credit report cost $ 1 and saved me some time.

This of course is all a racket and has gotten much worse over the years.

I will next confront Farm Bureau Insurance and explain what has happened. I will ask if they want to get the attorneys involved.

Regardless, I will contact officials of the state of NC and hopefully, with so many republicans in power here, get an appropriate response.

This may take a while.

To be continued.

  1. Sen. Reid on Cattle Battle: “It’s not over”

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) — Senate majority leader Harry Reid hasn’t been very vocal about the cattle battle showdown in recent days, but says “it’s not over.”

Reid tells News4’s Samantha Boatman his take on the so-called cattle battle in southern Las Vegas. “Well, it’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over,” Reid said.

Tell him to take that argument to his own lawless regime….monitored by lawless DOJ.

  2. Flashback: Sen. Reid Breaks Ground for Nevada Solar Farm Near Bundy Ranch

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who was exposed last Friday as the mastermind behind the Bureau of Land Management’s persecution of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, can be seen in this March 2014 photo breaking ground for a new solar farm near the Bundy Ranch, emphasizing that the senator’s plan for solar projects in Nevada wasn’t just limited to the shelved solar farm near Laughlin.

  3. Nevada ranch standoff could leave dirt on Harry Reid’s reputation

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat.

The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev.

Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch as a result of safety concerns after clashes between law enforcement and the Bundy family’s growing legion of supporters.

“Based on information about conditions on the ground, and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concern about the safety of employees and members of the public,” Mr. Kornze said.

“We ask that all parties in the area remain peaceful and law-abiding as the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service work to end the operation in an orderly manner,” he said.

Speculation spiked in recent days over Mr. Reid’s connection to the BLM episode, in which federal contractors seized about 400 head of cattle from 68-year-old rancher Cliven Bundy over his refusal to pay an estimated $1 million in grazing fees over 20 years.

“It was likely pressure from upstairs, rather than weapons from the field, that changed his mind on the matter,” the liberal group Americans Against the Tea Party said in an online post. “Fact is, Harry Reid probably didn’t want his name attached to the biggest civilian massacre in U.S. history right before election season.”

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Nevada’s largest newspaper, criticized the BLM’s handling of the situation in a Friday editorial, saying the “federal government is all about intimidation and overreach.”

  5. Happy Passover.

  6. Happy Passover, Tina, and everyone out there celebrating!

  7. Observer…….
With regard to Mzzzzzzzzzzz. REED,my guess is that it IS NOT OVER EITHER,but not in the sense that Harriet would like for us all to entertain. Her radically left leaning walls are beginning to crack badly, and without a doubt will come down upon her. Yes it is NOT OVER Mzzzzzzzzzzz.Reed…rather it is only BEGINNING. Just don’t show up wearing your “STAINED BLUE VES……..T”,and please don’t try to make everybody believe that you are really ……….Monica! We have all heard that you are a”VERY CLOSE” friend of certain BLM officials.”You likee nice wind farm…..China will build it for you, using nice China technology, and Chinese labor. Happy “corney stuff” Harriet.

  8. Sheriff: Feds strategize for ‘raid’ on ranch
Warning follows threat from Harry Reid that grazing dispute ‘not over’

The executive director of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association says his sources inside the federal government warn that Washington’s weekend retreat in a dispute over grazing land in Nevada was only a move to distract attention and diffuse tensions, because a raid on the family’s ranch still is planned.

And there probably would be violence involved, said Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Grisham County, Ariz.

“I don’t think it would be possible” to launch a raid without violence, he told WND Monday. “I don’t think the Bundys would lie down and be taken.”

He cited the vow by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., that the confrontation was far from over, despite the weekend’s retreat by armed gunmen working for federal agencies.

Reid on Monday told KRNV-TV in Reno: “It’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.”

……….Mack, a longtime sheriff, told WND that Reid’s statements are beyond the pale.

“That kind of stupidity, where he puts federal regulations and policies of bureaucrats ahead of a family in his state that has done no wrong or committed a crime,” Mack said.

He charged that it is Reid who is destroying his own state’s ranching industry as well as the U.S. Constitution. The sheriff chided the senator for making statements about abiding by laws.

“Isn’t that amazing? The biggest crook in Washington,” Mack said.

On the issue of a raid, he said: “That’s what we have heard. It’s not confirmed. People we had on the inside told us the BLM still is considering raiding the Bundy ranch. We’re going to keep in touch with them, protect them, pray for them.”

  9. A new siege of the entire BUNDY RANCH could now be in the planning stage. It is called “eminent domain”. Simply put this law is used whenever a crooked politician wants somebody’s land. It is represented as being for the greater good of a state, city or county,by producing a taxable entity. I believe that Harriet will soon encourage the BLM to bring an eminent domain action against Bundy. With a CROOKED JUDGE,in a “KANGAROO” court Bundy could LOSE IT ALL! He is going to need expert legal assistance to fight eminent domain.

  10. As a matter of fact in some cases it isn’t even necessary for the petitioner to go to court. The possibility in the Bundy case is that Corney will simply have a CROOKED federal judge sign a court “order to vacate”,and Bundy could be literally forcefully removed from his OWN property. A very long time ago eminent domain was used against the people in the Tennessee Valley. The alleged petitioner (THIEF) was the TVA. These people were ordered off of their own property because the TVA had Federal judges in their hip pocket. Many of these people were severly beaten, and jailed, for long periods of time WITHOUT CHARGES ever being filed against them, and some of the people who were severly beaten died while in jail. The TVA prevailed and we see the results today.! But in Bundy’s case there seems to be enough smoldering embers, just waiting for a breeze and fuel. The situation is precarious,at best, and made even moreso by Mzzzzzzzzzz.Harriet Reed.

  11. oldsailor,
think maybe if Reid doesn’t finalize any possible deal made with the Chinese he’s afraid they’ll send the Chinese mafia after him?? Would do anything to avoid such unhappy circumstances!!

  12. Eminent domain is the next logical step, for Corney to take.

  13. Observer……
That REMEDY would NOT break my heart. Every time I see the bastard on tv, the idiotic look on her face makes me nearly wretch my gut.

  14. I wonder what Mzzzzzzzzzz.Reed would do if a Regiment of Chinese soldiers showed up at Mzzzzzzzzzz.Reed’s door and ordered her to accompany them back to China for prosecution by a Chinese court, for failing to uphold his part of the Hillary agreement. har har! Hey Harriet….you likee nice Chinese jail cell? Just think Harriet you can sit and wring your hands, and whine all day long if you wish. But it is doubtful if anybody will pay any attention to you.

  15. Observer……
It certainly sounds as though there will be a real confrontation if there is any attempt to remove Bundy from his own property. The sheriff sounded as though he meant what he said. Lets see if TWISTED Harriet can overpower the highest law enforcement agency in Nevada. But if Harriet takes the road to imenent domain the sheriff will probably be forced to STEP ASIDE.

  16. Observer……
Yeah he has the same expression on his face that his alleged father has 24/7. VACANT. Lite on but nobody home!

  17. I have one credit card that I use and pay off every month. I just received a credit limit increase from them.

    Ah, same here.
Why do I use it instead of my debit card?/
I do NOT ever leave any money in my checking account (except the $17 for Netflix) and when I do need to order online, I had to use gas to travel to the bank and deposit amt. for the item; a bummer when I didn’t want to leave the house–so I got a credit card to save time and gas!

  18. Was with Farm Bureau also because of the low rates.
For 5 consecutive years they increased my homeowners(never had a claim in 39 years–I went to Liberty Mutual for a lower premium.
Am happy and saved $300 this year by adding my cars to the policy.

  19. Also, Liberty Mutual wanted Gene’s SS number to run his credit–I said NO!!
My credit is better and both vehicles insured are mine(Gene has a truck in his name, but it is insured by the Amish that bought it—long story).
I won that debate and Gene’s SS was not given.

  20. Observer……
I remembered a name in Nevada…..Hage. Mr Hage and his wife waged a 17 year war against the BLM and WON THEIR case which was over water rights. They were posthumously awarded $4.4 million in punitive damages, and their estate was expecting another $4.4 million in compensatory damages, against the BLM. With regard to Bundy’s case, I would call the Hage case……”PRECEDENT”. For Corney to attempt CONDEMNATION of the property he must first prove that it SHOULD BE CONDEMNED,and why. This is in part the reason that the BLM is using against Bundy as well. The BLM has fenced off the RIGHT OF WAY for the cattle to access water on the alleged FEDERAL LAND. Bundy like the Hages owns the rights to water.Since there is the precedent of the Hage case in 1991, the precedent is established. I seriously doubt that Corney will be able to bring CONDEMNATION of the Bundy property,or any subsequent, eminent domain action as well. Of course with CROOKED JUDGES ,,,UP becomes DOWN.

  21. Sheriff Mack says Federal plans afoot to attack Bundy homestead. Clarke County Sheriff and NV Governor are AWOL. Doesn’t look good for Bundy’s.
Crazy Feds are unwilling to use such resources to stop the border invasion.

    Cannot access Orlytaitz site tonight.

  22. Judge Jones issued an injunction against the federal government interfering with the Hage family’s water rights and ordered it to grant a grazing permit in accordance with the “historical usages and preferences” in that area of Nevada. The judge said he was restricting the government’s “normal discretion” in “this extreme case because of the conspiracy…and the obvious continuing animus against Hage by” government officials. Two government employees were held in contempt by the judge for sending trespass notices to people who leased or sold cattle to the Hages in order to “pressure other parties not to do business with the Hages, and even to discourage or punish testimony in the” case. The judge referred them to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for “potential prosecution for obstruction of justice.” That is quite an indictment of the Interior Department and its employees.

    ranchers 1 BLM 0 :-)
