Presidents challengers mysterious deaths, Andrew Breitbart Tim Russert General Patton, LA Coroner death, Pulmonary embolism or heart attack induced?

“Why have so many people questioning Obama or associated with his corrupt past been threatened or died under mysterious circumstances?”…Citizen Wells

“Why was Christopher Kelly transported past 2 trauma facilities on the way to Stroger Hospital?”…Thomas R. Bennett

“Why did Donald Young, Bill Gwatney, Christopher Kelly, Andrew Breitbart and others with information about Obama all die under mysterious circumstances?”…Citizen Wells

I was already planning to revisit the death of Tim Russert when I watched a repeat episode of Brad Meltzer’s Decoded on the mysterious death of General
George Patton. Throughout the episode several statements provided an eerie reminder of recent events that were also controverial. Mysterious deaths of
reporters who had questioned the current occupant of the White House.

Under normal circumstances, that is, most of my life, the death of a TV journalist would have passed without special significance. However, when Tim Russert died at an early age, I could not help but raise the possibility that he was murdered. After all, anyone questioning Obama in 2008 was subject to verbal
attacks and death threats. I reported one of the death threats against me to the FBI.

I do not know what Tim Russert was working on when he died, but I do know that Russert was one of the few journalists asking tough questions of Obama at one time.

Tim Russert interview of Barack Obama from Citizen Wells April 12, 2008.

“MR. RUSSERT: You talked about Senator Clinton having records released from the Clinton Library regarding her experience as first lady, and yet when you were asked about, “What about eight years in the state senate of Illinois,” you said, “I don’t know.” Where, where are the—where are your records?

SEN. OBAMA: Tim, we did not keep those records. I…

MR. RUSSERT: Is your schedule available anywhere? Are—the records exist?

SEN. OBAMA: I—Tim, I kept my own schedule. I didn’t have a scheduler.

MR. RUSSERT: Senator Durbin, your colleague, publishes his schedule each day. Would you do that?

SEN. OBAMA: Well, you know, these days I have a public presidential schedule that I think everybody has access to.”

“NBC’s Tim Russert dies of heart attack at 58
Washington bureau chief, ‘Meet the Press’ moderator collapsed on job”

“Tim Russert, NBC News’ Washington bureau chief and the moderator of “Meet the Press,” died Friday after suffering a heart attack at the bureau. He was 58.

Russert was recording voiceovers for Sunday’s “Meet the Press” broadcast when he collapsed. He was rushed to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, where resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

Russert’s physician, Michael Newman, said cholesterol plaque ruptured in an artery, causing sudden coronary thrombosis.”

As most of you know, Andrew Breitbart was going to release damning information about Barack Obama the very day that he died under mysterious circumstances.

The LA Coroner’s office ruled that Breitbart died of heart failure and hardening of the arteries.

From WND may 10, 2012.

“BREITBART WITNESS: HE DROPPED LIKE SACK OF BRICKS”

“A man who witnessed the death of Andrew Breitbart said the conservative media icon collapsed like a “sack of bricks” and died with bright red skin and a “thick white band” on his forehead.

The testimony comes from Christopher Lasseter, 26, who was walking his dog near the Brentwood Restaurant the evening of March 1 and saw Breitbart leave the eatery, cross the street and fall to the ground on the opposite side of the street.

On assignment from WND, Los Angeles private investigator Paul Huebl found Lasseter Tuesday evening.

In a video provided to WND and posted on YouTube, Huebl filmed the inside of the Brentwood Restaurant, showing the bar where Breitbart was in conversation with a Los Angeles marketing executive. Breitbart drank a glass of wine before leaving the restaurant to cross the street.

Standing at the site where Breitbart died, Huebl conducted a video interview with Lasseter.

Lasseter reported he noticed a big thick band of blanched white skin around the top of Breitbart’s forehead, extending around the hairline to the back of Breitbart’s head, that him do a “doubletake.”

In the various reports of Breitbart’s death, WND is the first to report an eyewitness observed the thick white band around Breitbart’s forehead.

“There was a thick white band around his forehead all the way around his hairline, bright red face, thick, thick white band – made me make a double take,” Lasseter said.

He further described Breitbart’s face and skin as “bright red,” in a manner consistent with Huebl’s first interview with him, as Huebl initially reported on his blog.”

LA Coroner’s official poisoned?

“An official with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office may have been poisoned with arsenic, police said Friday.

KNX 1070′s John Brooks reports investigators are taking a closer look at the death of 61-year-old Micheal Cormier.

Cormier, a respected autopsy and forensic technician who also was a photographer with the special operations response team, was rushed to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank from his North Hollywood home one week ago.
Hospital staff eventually advised police that there may be “suspicious circumstances” surrounding Cormier’s death, said LAPD Lt. Alan Hamilton.

“We have information that could potentially include foul play,” Hamilton said.”

General George Patton had questioned Dwight Eisenhour on many occassions and had many enemies. While I do not believe that Eisenhour had Patton murdered, I do believe that is possible someone else did.

Interesting, eh?

From Larry Elder May 10, 2012.

“Elder: Obama-Loving Media Spin the Economy”

“National Public Radio’s Kai Ryssdal recently talked about the weak economy. His guests, two reporters from The Washington Post and The New York Times, acknowledged the obvious — that the economy is underperforming.

Yet, in the 20 minutes of my sitting and listening in the car in bad Los Angeles traffic, I heard no one mention the words “President Barack Obama.”

Time magazine, in a cover story on the economy, called the current economic recovery a “97-pound weakling.” It informs us that our sluggish economy is now driven by broad, virtually uncontrollable worldwide economic trends. Only once in this lengthy article did Time mention Obama — and only to say that Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney “plans to use the economy as a hammer against President Obama.”

That’s it. The President, Mr. Hope-and-Change, you see, is powerless to do anything about the economy. None of that “the buck stops here” stuff for him.

Investor’s Business Daily writes that our neighbor up north sees things differently: “The Obama administration and its economic czars have flailed about for years, baffled about how to get the U.S. economy growing. In reality, the president need look no further than our neighbor, Canada, whose solid growth is the product of tax cuts, fiscal discipline, free trade and energy development. That’s made Canada a roaring puma nation, while its supposedly more powerful southern neighbor stands on the outside looking in.”

Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said: “Creating jobs and growth in our economy is our top propriety. … We are creating the conditions for businesses to successfully compete in the global economy by investing in Canada and creating jobs and growth for all Canadians. Through our government’s low-tax plan … we are continuing to send the message that Canada is open for business and the best place to invest.”

What about the economies of our 50 states? If Obama is powerless to do anything about the economy, surely the states alone are at least as impotent?

But low-tax states outperform high-tax states. Seven states have no personal income taxes (PIT) — Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Two states tax only income on interest and dividends — New Hampshire and Tennessee. The average state and local revenue growth of these nine states from 2000 to 2009 was 81.53 percent.

Average revenue growth in the nine states with the highest PIT rates — Ohio, Maine, Maryland, Vermont, New Jersey, California, Oregon, Hawaii and New York — was 44.88 percent. Similarly, gross state product growth from 2001 to 2010 averaged 58.54 percent in the nine states with no PIT versus 42.06 in the nine states with the highest PIT rates.

Remember, our leftist president once told ABC’s Charlie Gibson that he wants to raise capital gains taxes — even though Obama conceded that historically higher capital taxes lead to less revenue. Then why raise rates at all, asked Gibson. “For purposes of fairness,” said then-Sen. Obama.

This is a president determined to “spread the wealth” to deal with “the gap” between the top 1 percent and the bottom 99 percent. To the Occupy Wall Street protestors, this is a president who said, “You are the reason I ran for office.” This is a president who said, “I do think at some point you’ve made enough money.”

This is a president who blames the Wall Street/housing meltdown on greed. As the see-no-Obama-on-the-economy Time magazine article puts it: “We got into the housing mess because we used our homes like ATMs to cover up the fact that neither incomes nor jobs have grown as much as they should have in the past two decades. It was a myth we all bought into, from the policymakers who pushed the idea of an ownership society fueled by debt to interest-rate-lowering central bankers who kept the music playing to individuals who took the mortgages they knew they couldn’t afford.”

This is the Obama version of events. Greed. Lack of oversight. Government policy had nothing to do with it. Banks just suddenly and for no reason started lending money to people they knew could not afford their mortgages.

Time magazine makes no mention about the central role played by laws like the Community Reinvestment Act. Nothing about the government-built and government-supported behemoths Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, which changed the rules so that “underrepresented” borrowers could buy a home, too. The government told lenders to lend to high-risk borrowers — or else. What, or else? The government actually threatened fines and held up prudent bank mergers if one or both sides did not sufficiently “lend” to borrowers who, under normal circumstances, failed to qualify.

NPR, however, took the pretzel-twisting in defense of Obama to an even higher level. When the disappointing first quarter numbers came in, NPR’s Scott Neuman actually asked this question: “Common sense says high growth rates are good and slower, more modest ones are not so good. But is that always the case? After all, the ‘irrational exuberance’ of the early 2000s helped bring on the recession, as people borrowed and spent their way to prosperity.”

So bad economic news is actually good economic news. Four more years!”

CBSNews.com covered the Sheriff Joe Arpaio News conference in a very biased manner on March 1, 2012.

http://citizenwells.wordpress.com/2012/03/01/joe-arpaio-news-conference-march-1-2012-cbs-article-obama-eligibility-natural-born-citizen-deficiency-obama-records-hidden-with-justice-dept-attorneys-help/

CBS News 5 in Phoenix, AZ has covered the Arpaio investigation in a proper journalistic manner. Hats off to News 5.

From WND, World Net Daily March 13, 2012.

“STUNNER! BALANCED CBS REPORT ON ARPAIO PROBE
Network affiliate documents evidence in Obama eligibility dispute”

“A stunning challenge has been issued in the argument over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, and it comes from a lead investigator for Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Maricopa County, Ariz.

Arpaio’s team of volunteer professional law enforcement officers and attorneys concluded after a six-month investigation that there is probable cause that forgery and fraud were committed in the process through which Obama released a “Certificate of Live Birth” image at the White House last year.

Arpaio has assured those interested that the investigation is continuing and earlier suggested that the appropriate avenue might be for Congress to begin an investigation.

The challenge came from lead investigator Mike Zullo, who was interviewed by the CBS Channel 5 affiliate in Phoenix. Reporter Heather Moore pointed out that it was Zullo’s name and face that was being attached to the investigative report, and she asked how comfortable was he making the allegations.

“Very comfortable,” he said, citing experts the investigators consulted during their 2,200 hours of work. “You can build the document. You can’t do that if you scan [a document],”

NOTE: In case you missed the news conference of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “Cold Case Posse,” you can view it here.

Then she asks what he would say to “naysayers” who claim the allegations are just a bunch of “B.S.”

“Prove it,” he said. “We did.”

He added, “We proved our point. That document’s created.”

Specifically, he said the image that was released by Obama never was an original hard copy that was scanned, as the White House described. It was instead, he said, an idea created in a computer.

The CBS affiliate report already has had more than half a million views, meaning that the response the station got from the White House on the issue, a reference to a year-old statement by Obama that such issues are “side shows,” may not be sufficient much longer.

Arpaio, at his original news conference announcing the results, said he was not accusing Obama of any crime.

But he said the evidence uncovered shows “violations of the law. We’re investigation those crimes.”

At that time, the posse confirmed it has identified at least one person of interest in the alleged forgery of Obama’s birth certificate.

In fact, Zullo reported, “We have identified the computer manufacture, [and] where that document resided 20 minutes before it was uploaded onto the White House website.”

The issue of Obama’s birth certificate centers on his eligibility to be president, since the Constitution requires that a president be a “natural-born citizen.””

Fox News Bret Baier on March 9, 2012 reported on the media failure to cover the Sheriff Joe Arpaio investigation.

Here is Fox News reporting on the Sheriff Joe Arpaio investigation. Bill O’Reilly says that he doesn’t have time to cover this story and continues to claim that birth announcements in newspapers are sufficient proof of Obama’s birth in Hawaii.

O’Reilly, why would putting a birth announcement in the newspaper be a conspiracy? It’s a birth announcement!

If I were Irish, I would demand that O’Reilly change his last name.

And Glenn Beck, who left Fox “with his soul.” Beck not only did not cover the investigation, he ridiculed Arpaio and millions of concerned Americans.

Has Beck sold his soul to the devil?

Al Jazeera has published an article by Professor Ian Buruma on the Washington Post article about Rick Santorum’s comments about euthanasia in the Netherlands. In an attempt to lend credence to the Washington Post article, Professor Buruma cited a Citizen Wells article that was critical of the Post article. The point made at Citizen Wells was that the Washington Post tried to completely discredit Santorum when in fact Santorum painted an accurate picture of most aspects of euthanasia in Holland. Professor Buruma quoted little of the Citizen Wells article and made many assumptions. He also used Alinsky like tactics of elitist condescension.

I came across the Post article by chance. The article could have been about any non Democrat candidate being maligned by the media, it just happened to be Santorum in this case. The point was the biased angle taken by the Post in an attempt to discredit him. The convenient ommission of facts, just as Professor Buruma has done. For example:

I stated: “Santorum may have been guilty of hyperbole but his fundamental message rings true.”

“From Dutch News November 9, 2011.

“A 64-year-old woman suffering from severe senile dementia has become the first person in the Netherlands to be given euthanasia even though she could no
longer express her wish to die, the Volkskrant reports on Wednesday.”

“The case has serious implications for Dutch euthanasia law because it means patients who are no longer able to state their wish can still be helped to die,
Constance de Vries, who acts as a second opinion doctor for euthanasia cases, told the paper.””
“From Forbes February 26, 2012.

“But Rick Santorum’s Sorta Right About Dutch Euthanasia”
“Not that I particularly care to defend a politician I most certainly don’t support: but the piling in on Rick Santorum over his remarks on the prevalence of involuntary euthanasia in Holland does seem a little over the top.”

“The numbers the Senator puts forward are also wrong: euthanasia, voluntary, involuntary, is not 10% of all deaths.

Well, actually, that’s not quite true either. It depends upon how you define these different activities.”

Al Jazeera March 12, 2012.

“A new idea of truth
Quality journalism has suffered as the internet allows individuals to select ‘truth’ based on their prejudices.”

“Rick Santorum, a former United States senator seeking the Republican Party’s nomination to challenge President Barack Obama this year, has been saying some very strange things about the Netherlands. Ten per cent of all deaths in that country, he recently claimed, are from euthanasia, half of which are forced upon helpless patients. Old people are so frightened of being killed by homicidal doctors that they wear bracelets that read: “Do not euthanise me.”
In a way, Santorum’s canards must come as a relief to a country that has increasingly been in the news for outrageous statements by right-wing populists about Muslims and Greeks. Indeed, Santorum’s view of the Netherlands as a kind of progressive dystopia has a slightly old-fashioned ring to it nowadays.
The Dutch were nonetheless disturbed. Some in the country’s parliament even asked whether the foreign minister should lodge a complaint in Washington.
In fact, Santorum’s fantasies were swiftly refuted in the US itself. The Washington Post concluded that “there was not a shred of evidence to back up Santorum’s claims”, and found it “telling” that his campaign managers did not even bother to defend them. One US television station even apologised to a Dutch reporter in the name of the American people.
As the Post pointed out, there is no such thing as involuntary euthanasia in the Netherlands. The patient’s consent is essential, and at least two doctors must agree that the patient’s suffering is unbearable and beyond cure. Besides, the share of assisted deaths in Dutch mortality is nowhere near 10 per cent. As for those bracelets, well…
But does any of this matter to Santorum’s followers? Probably not. Corrections from the “elitist” mainstream media are dismissed as enemy propaganda. As a blogger sympathetic to Santorum  put it: ”The Washington Post, as one would expect, attempted to discredit Santorum.”
No more filter
It is disturbing, to say the least, that the most cogent refutations of bald-faced lies no longer make any impression. After all, a democracy cannot function without a public that is properly informed. Informing the public used to be the role of serious newspapers and television networks. Of course, not everything in the mainstream media is always true: Mistakes are made. News organisations have political biases, sometimes reflecting the views and interests of their owners.
But high-quality journalism has always relied on its reputation for probity. Editors, as well as reporters, at least tried to get the facts right. That is why people read Le Monde, The New York Times, or, indeed, The Washington Post. Filtering nonsense was one of their duties – and their main selling point.
That has changed. Populist demagogues in politics and the mass media are doing everything they can to discredit the quality press as propaganda organs for left-wing elites who sneer at the views of ordinary Americans. Santorum pretends to speak for these people – that is, for a minority of Americans who are mostly white, provincial, highly religious, deeply conservative on cultural and social issues, and convinced that Obama and all Europeans are dangerous godless socialists.
The point is not whether Santorum is right or wrong factually. What he says “feels” right to his followers, because it conforms to their prejudices. And the internet, having swamped the quality press, feeds and reinforces those prejudices, making it more difficult to distinguish the truth from lies.
The public is increasingly segmented into groups of likeminded people who see their views echoed back to them in blogs, comments and tweets. There is no need to be exposed to different opinions, which are, in any case, considered to be propaganda. Indeed, Santorum’s new fame will afford him a rich career as a media demagogue, even if he fails as a politician.
The truth is relative
The first people to argue that all truth is relative and that all information is a form of propaganda that reflects society’s power relations, were far removed from the world inhabited by Santorum and his supporters. Several decades ago, a number of European and American intellectuals, often with a background in Marxism, developed a “post-modern” critique of the written word. We might think, they argued, that what we read in The New York Times or Le Monde is objectively true, but everything that appears there is, in fact, a disguised form of propaganda for bourgeois class interests.
There is no such thing, the post-modern critic believes, as independence of thought. Objective truth is an illusion. Everyone is promoting class interests of one kind or another. The real lie, in this view, is the claim of objectivity. What is necessary to change the world is not the truth, but another form of propaganda, promoting different interests. Everything is political; that is the only truth that counts.
It is unlikely that Rick Santorum, or many of his followers, have read any post-modern theorists. Santorum, after all, recently called Obama a “snob” for claiming that all Americans should be entitled to a college education. So he must surely loath writers who represent everything that the Tea Party and other radical right-wingers abhor: the highly educated, intellectual, urban, secular and not always white. These writers are the left-wing elite, at least in academia.
But, as so often happens, ideas have a way of migrating in unexpected ways. The blogger who dismissed The Washington Post’s corrections of Santorum’s fictional portrayal of the Netherlands expressed himself like a perfect post-modernist. The most faithful followers of obscure leftist thinkers in Paris, New York or Berkeley are the most reactionary elements in the American heartland. Of course, if this were pointed out to them, they would no doubt dismiss it as elitist propaganda.

Obama and Glenn Beck Masons?, Newsweek June 2008 article, Obama being protected, Why has Glenn Beck ridiculed Arpaio Military officers and concerned Americans

We now know that the US Justice Department and many judges are corrupt, few congressmen care about the Constitution and the manistream media has protected Obama. Yet, many of us still shake our heads in disbelief when people like Glenn Beck not only don’t cover eligibility issues but go to great lengths for many months to ridicule millions of concerned citizens, including high ranking military officers and now Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

In 2008 there was a rumor that Obama is a Mason. I have yet to find any strong evidence for or against this supposition. However, in the June issue of Newsweek, a photo was staged to give the appearance of Obama wearing a Masonic ring. If this wasn’t Obama in the photo, why did Newsweek suggest with the photo that it was?

From Blair’s blog January 6, 2009.

“Obama’s Masonic Ring

This picture is from a June 2008 edition of Newsweek magazine. It appears to be Obama reaching for the “Presidential Seal”. Please take a close look at the ring on Obama’s right hand.

Obama is wearing a masonic ring. The square and the compass are clearly visable.

The important thing to remember is that these pictures are carefully staged. I’m sure they (Newsweek photographers) take several pictures. The ones they publish are obviously the ones they want you to see. This was either done for your benefit, the general public, or for the benefit of other freemasons, probably both. Either way the message is clear. Obama is a freemason and another freemason is going to be President of the United States.”

More images here:

http://blairsblog1.blogspot.com/2009/01/obamas-masonic-ring.html

From Infowars April 8, 2011.

“It was on his Friday, April 1, program, but it was no joke. Glenn Beck, who has announced he will leave Fox News, was blatantly wearing a masonic emblem over his grey sweater, quite a conspicuous clothing accessory.
Included in the imagery is a Mason’s compass, a skull, a scroll & pen, and a date that appears to be 1681 or 1682 (unclear), the first a possible reference to the year Freemason William Penn founded Philadelphia (later the first capital of the United States) and Pennsylvania, the second a possible reference to the founding of La Petite Resurrection des Templiers” a licentious society that was a spin off to Masonic circles in France. Their members supposedly “wore concealed upon their shirts a decoration in the form of a cross, on which was embossed the figure of a man trampling on a woman, who lay prostrate at his feet.”
Why would Beck choose this apparel? Is it an obscure reference to colonial founders or a tip-off that his allegiances lie with the secret society-elites who have long wielded power?”

What motivates Glenn Beck to belittle concerned Americans who believe in the US Constitution. Are he and Obama Masons? Is it money? He states that he does not do research and depends on his staff. Perhaps this is one of the reasons.

From Media Decoder January 5, 2011.

“Glenn Beck Hires Former Huffington Post Chief”

“Looking to further expand his growing media presence, Glenn Beck, the conservative talk-show host, has hired a one-time chief executive of the left-leaning Huffington Post to lead his new Web site, The Blaze.

Betsy Morgan, who ran The Huffington Post for two years, ending in 2009, will become president of The Blaze, a four-month-old site intended to curate news articles and opinion pieces of special interest to Mr. Beck’s conservative audience.

He has built that following through aggressive expansion into multiple forms of media, including his high-rated program on the Fox News Channel, a series of best-selling books and numerous personal appearances.

His broadest exposure continues to be in radio, where he ranks as the third-most popular host (after other conservative voices, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity).

Mr. Beck, however, experienced some setbacks in that medium this week. Both WOR radio in New York and WPHT in Philadelphia are dropping the show as of Jan. 17.

Scott Lakefield, the assistant program director of WOR, said ratings for Mr. Beck had fallen off since his early days on the station. “We noticed a downward trend,” Mr. Lakefield said. “The audience was just going elsewhere.”

Christopher Balfe, the president of Mr. Beck’s company, Mercury Radio Arts, said that the host remained highly popular on radio nationally, with ratings up 35 percent since the start of 2009. He also said the company would seek new stations in New York and Philadelphia.

The appointment of Ms. Morgan to The Blaze (which Mr. Beck named after the biblical story of Moses and the burning bush) raised some eyebrows at The Huffington Post because of her shift to a polar opposite political point of view. But she said in an interview, “I am a very apolitical person. I’m a business person, who is absolutely fascinated by brands.”

The aim of The Blaze, Ms. Morgan said, is to broaden beyond politically based information to cover other topics of interest to Mr. Beck, whom she called “a widely-known conversationalist on a lot of topics.”

She acknowledged that some of his views had been seen as incendiary and had led to some difficulty in selling to national advertisers. But she said, “Glenn has built for himself quite an enormous brand” and the purpose of The Blaze is to “leverage the huge loyalty of that audience.””

“Why did the Illinois Senate Health & Human Services Committee, with Obama as chairman, create and push Bill 1332, “Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act,” early in 2003, which reduced the number of members on the Board from 15 to 9, just prior to rigging by Tony Rezko and Rod Blagojevich?”…Citizen Wells

“Why did Patrick Fitzgerald and the US Justice Department wait until December 2008 to arrest Rod Blagojevich?”…Citizen Wells

“Why did Daniel Frawley provide $ 400,000 for Tony Rezko to give to Obama?”…Citizen Wells

“I believe I’m more pristine on Rezko than him.”…Rod Blagojevich

John Hammer, Editor and Publisher of the Rhino (Rhinoceros) Times, is a good man. He is also a rare commodity these days. He has consistently put into print in NC articles that are critical of Barack Obama. I met with John last year and I was just thinking I should meet with him again about the possibility of a larger, real news organization. I finally got around to reading his latest opinions in “Under the Hammer.” I was pleased as usual but even more so because he quoted Illinois Pay to Play, a site that Citizen Wells has quoted and been quoted at. John Hammer, in print in North Carolina, the state that is hosting the Democrat Convention, has covered the Daniel Frawley $400,000 for Rezko to give to Obama.

From the Rhino Times March 08, 2012.

“Isn’t it funny what the mainstream media decides is news? According to the website Illinoispaytoplay.com, Obama has been implicated in the investigation of Obama’s good friend Tony Rezko, who has been convicted and sentenced to 10-and-a-half years for corruption involving, among others, Obama’s good friend former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was sentenced to 14 years in prison for corruption.

Before Blagojevich was caught trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat, Obama bragged about running Blagojevich’s campaign and getting him elected.

Rezko, or to be more precise Rezko’s wife, bought the lot next door to Obama’s house in Chicago on the same day that Obama bought the house. And while Obama paid less than the asking price for the house, the Rezkos paid the full asking price for the lot. Later the Rezkos sold part of the lot to the Obamas for less than they had paid for it.

But according to Illinoispaytoplay.com, a witness being deposed as part of the investigation said that he gave Rezko $400,000 to give to Obama. Since Obama happens to be the most powerful man in the world, it seems like people who were known to deal with corrupt politicians claiming to have given money to Rezko for Obama would be news, but for some reason the mainstream media have decided that it is not.”

“It has become accepted by everyone except diehard supporters of other candidates that Romney is going to win the nomination. Romney doesn’t have anywhere near the votes he needs to win at the convention, but he has more than twice as many as Santorum, who is the only candidate who is even close. While Gingrich shot himself in the foot, and it felt so good that he shot himself in the other foot.

No one seems to be able to withstand the withering attack ads that Romney focuses on the front-runner. That is actually a good sign because Romney is not going to beat Obama unless he is willing to go on the attack. Romney is going to have to attack early and often. Romney will be called a racist, not just by Obama but by the liberal media, and they won’t relent. But he isn’t going to get that vote anyway.

It will be interesting to see what Obama does long term if Romney runs a real campaign against him. The closest Obama has come to a real campaign was his race against Hillary Clinton, and by the time Hillary Clinton knew what hit her she had lost and attacking Obama would have only made her look bad.

One thing Romney should do is release every single bit of information that exists about himself and his family. If he has his first grade report card he should put it out there for everyone to examine. The public knows very little about Obama. He is president of the United States. I’d like to read his senior thesis or something that indicates his thought process as a young man. I’d be interested to know how he got to Columbia University, and the answer to the overriding question of did he play freshman basketball at Occidental College. (If he did not, why did a respectable newspaper like the Los Angeles Times report that he did?)

According to Wikipedia, Obama’s parents didn’t live together even before his father was accepted at Harvard and moved east. The story is always told of his father getting accepted to Harvard and leaving his wife (who was still a teenager) and child. But according to Wikipedia his mother attended the University of Washington in Seattle after Barack Jr. was born until Barack Obama Sr. left for Harvard. She then transferred back to the University of Hawaii. If that is true it certainly puts Barack Obama Sr. in a different light.

It is the kind of fact that the American people ordinarily know about their presidents.”

It is past time for another meeting with John Hammer to discuss the possibility of a real news organization and to bring him up to speed on the rest of the Obama Rezko corruption. For example the FDIC lawsuit against Mutual Bank, which is currently underway. The bank that loaned money to Rita Rezko for the lot the Obama’s bought. The same bank that fired whistleblower Kenneth J. Connor . Connor stated that the appraisal for the lot was to high.

Hats off to John.

From WND, World Net Daily March 5, 2012.

“TOWNHALL YANKS COLUMN ON ARPAIO’S FINDINGS”

“A popular column on Townhall.com – the self-described “leading conservative and political opinion website” – discussing Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as president has unexplainably disappeared.

Earlier today, the column “Sheriff Joe Exposes Forgery of Obama’s Selective Service Registration” by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown of The Western Center For Journalism was Townhall.com’s most emailed and eighth most read column.

But then … it was gone.

Even after WND alerted Townhall.com’s managing editor that the column had been deleted from its site, it remained listed as “cannot be found.” And despite multiple contacts with the site’s editorial staff, no one at Townhall.com would explain to WND why the column was removed.

Floyd Brown is a regular columnist on Townhall.com, with multiple columns in the site’s archive listed for every month since 2008.

“I hope that it’s not the result of any type of intentional censorship; that would be my sincere hope,” Brown told WND of the removal of his column. “The article is obviously being well received and highly read and highly emailed by the Townhall audience, so why they would want to keep people from seeing it – that would really shock me.”

Still, Brown told WND, if it were intentional, it wouldn’t be the first time even “conservative” media has tried to sweep the story under the rug.

“I have seen conservative media be almost more diligent in censoring on the issue of Barack Obama’s eligibility,” Brown said. “Even though they criticize it on one hand, they all have a desire to be loved by mainstream media.””

““We found the most interesting information presented to have nothing to do with the Obama nativity story,” the Browns write in their vanished column, which nonetheless can be read on The Western Center for Journalism site. “Instead it had to do with the Selective Service records. Forensic document analysis proved this document was also a forgery. Intensive documentation proving that Postal indicia on the form was forged was particularly damaging, as this type of postal fraud is a federal felony.

“In the days ahead, it will be interesting to see if the mainstream media provides any coverage of the event’s allegations,” the Browns continue. “Sitting in the room we were overwhelmed by the professionalism of these sworn officers of the law. They clearly used the best experts in their investigation. Finally a legitimate law enforcement official has looked at the evidence and found, as Arpaio said, ‘probable cause that a felony has been committed.’”

The Browns also write that they agree with Arpaio’s claim that the mainstream media has been more interested in ridiculing the story than covering it.

“Having just attended Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s ‘Cold Case Posse’ news conference in Phoenix, Arizona,” the Browns write, “we candidly admit we have never seen a greater example of raw media bias in our 30 years of watching the fourth estate.”

They conclude, “Citizens are still daring to ask questions about Obama. And by doing it you face certain ridicule, name calling and being treated as children. Even when you may be asking legitimate questions, which have been routinely asked of presidential candidates in the past or have been asked of Republican candidates this year, you are censured.”

But whether the Browns merely face “censure” or “censor” for their column remains to be seen.”

An appropriate exerpt from “1984 ” by George Orwell:

“As soon as all the corrections which happened to be necessary in any partiucular number of the Times had been assembled and collated, that number would be reprinted, the original copy destroyed, and the corrected copy placed on the files in it’s stead. This process of continuation alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound tracks, cartoons, photographs–to every kind of literature or documentation which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance. Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. In this way every prediction made by the Party could be shown by documentary evidence to be correct; nor was any item of news, or expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to be on record.”

Deservedly, 5 Orwells for TownHall.

“Arizona sheriff unveils Obama birth probe”
APNews
Mar 02, 2012

“America’s self-proclaimed toughest sheriff finds himself entangled these days in his own thorny legal troubles: a federal grand jury probe over alleged abuse of power, Justice Department accusations of racial profiling and revelations that his department didn’t adequately investigate hundreds of Arizona sex-crime cases.

Rather than seek cover, though, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is seeking to grab the spotlight in the same unorthodox fashion that has helped boost his career as a nationally known lawman.

Some critics suggest Arpaio’s aim is to divert attention from his own legal troubles while raising his political profile as he seeks a sixth term this year. The sheriff vehemently denies such strategies are in play.

Hawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama’s citizenship, and Obama released a copy of his long-form birth certificate in April in an attempt to quell citizenship questions. Courts also have rebuffed lawsuits over the issue. Of late, the president’s re-election campaign has poked fun at it, selling coffee cups with a picture of the president’s birth record.”

From Sean Hannity at Fox News February 15, 2012 .

“This is a rush transcript from “Hannity,” February 15, 2012. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: And finally tonight, the blatant bias of Media Matters has been exposed, thanks to shocking internal memos uncovered by the Daily Caller. And one of the main target of that left-leaning organization is none other than the Fox News Channel.
Now, one memo from 2009 written to the founder and president reads quote, “Simply put, the progressive movement is in need of an enemy. George W. Bush is gone. We really don’t have John McCain to kick around anymore. Filling the lack of leadership on the right, Fox News has emerged as the central enemy and antagonist of the Obama administration, our Congressional majorities and the progressive movement as a whole.”

Now, the same memo also suggested that it would be a good idea to do opposition research on the people that work at this network. It reads, quote, “We should also hire a team of trackers to stake out private and public events with Fox News anchors, hosts, reporters, prominent contributors and senior network corporate staff.”

And now Congress is reportedly planning to question the group’s tax exempt status.

Joining me now with reaction, from the Fox Business Network, Sandra Smith and the co-host of “The Five,” she deals with Beckel five days a week, Andrea Tantaros. She has our undying admiration.

All right. Let’s start with a couple of things here. Before we get to just the tactics of trying to smear and destroy people’s lives, bad enough and enough itself. The collaboration that they talk about on a weekly basis with the White House means — this is a political operation. This is not a 501c3. You know, tax exempt organization. This sounds like a political organization in close collaboration with the White House.

ANDREA TANTAROS, CO-HOST, “THE FIVE”: Yes. Designed to quote, “smear and conduct sabotage and guerrilla warfare,” as its head David Brock told Politico in an interview. And he said many times. There’s nothing charitable or educational about Media Matters. And just because they are labeled a charity folks, doesn’t mean they are doing good work. Their sole existence, Sean, the sole purpose of Media Matters is to take out a for profit company which is News Corp, the parent company of this network.”

“HANNITY: How does NBC get out of this from the point of view, because the next installment, I don’t –they said it publicly, and I’ve spoken to the guys of the Daily Caller — the next installment is going to be, they are going to show you examples. Media Matters wrote this and this was the script on NBC News.”

“HANNITY: Unbelievable. It’s actually scary, if you go to the White House, the interaction on a weekly basis, then you go to filtering to the media, it just reminds me of a propaganda campaign to destroy people.

TANTAROS: Liberal tolerance on display everybody, isn’t it wrong?

HANNITY: You know, politics of personal, real personal destruction because they don’t want other voices, that is frightening.”

From Daily Caller February 12, 2012.

“This is the first in a Daily Caller investigative series on Media Matters For America.”

“Extensive interviews with a number of Brock’s current and former colleagues at Media Matters, as well as with leaders from across the spectrum of Democratic politics, reveal an organization roiled by its leader’s volatile and erratic behavior and struggles with mental illness, and an office where Brock’s executive assistant carried a handgun to public events in order to defend his boss from unseen threats.
Yet those same interviews, as well as a detailed organizational planning memo obtained by The Daily Caller, also suggest that Media Matters has to a great extent achieved its central goal of influencing the national media.

Founded by Brock in 2004 as a liberal counterweight to “conservative misinformation” in the press, Media Matters has in less than a decade become a powerful player in Democratic politics. The group operates in regular coordination with the highest levels of the Obama White House, as well as with members of Congress and progressive groups around the country. Brock, who collected over $250,000 in salary from Media Matters in 2010, has himself become a major fundraiser on the left. According to an internal memo obtained by TheDC, Media Matters intends to spend nearly $20 million in 2012 to influence news coverage.

Donors have every reason to expect success, as the group’s effect on many news organizations has already been profound. “We were pretty much writing their prime time,” a former Media Matters employee said of the cable channel MSNBC. “But then virtually all the mainstream media was using our stuff.”

I began warning you of the Orwellian tactics of the Obama camp early in 2008 as well as the extreme media bias of such entities as Media Matters.

From Citizen Wells December 3, 2009 in it’s entirety.

Recently on the Citizen Wells blog.

“So we have the Obama camp continually broadcasting that anyone challenging Obama’s eligibility is a fringe birther, right wing extremist and as many of the so called elitists would portray as a sub human low intellect. That Orly Taitz is the leader of the birthers and that all court cases challenging Obama’s eligibility have been thrown out as having no merits. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Most people questioning Obama’s eligibility are normal, hard working Americans who follow the US Constitution as their legal compass. They are people like me who are well educated, well read and non racially motivated. They are current or retired military and some high ranking officers. There are a few in the MSM, such as Lou Dobbs who asked the common sense question of why doesn’t Obama simply provide a legitimate birth certificate.”
The age of Big Brother

Rush Limbaugh has mentioned the Barack Obama eligibility issues. Lou Dobbs, several weeks ago on his CNN show, referred to the Hawaii COLB as a piece of paper that refers to another piece of paper. Mr Dobbs also asked the no brainer, common sense question of why doesn’t Obama just provide a legitimate Birth Certificate. I have requested that Rush Limbaugh, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity ask the simple question, the question that a fifth grader can understand and draw the obvious conclusion from.

Why?

“1. Barack Obama has employed a legion of private and government attorneys to prevent revealing his country of birth. Innocent and eligible persons seeking the office of president do not do that.”

One of the cadre of Orwellian spin masters, blindly following, obeying and perhaps being remunerated by the Obama camp is Media Matters’, Eric Boehlert. In July 2009, when Lou Dobbs began devoting time to Obama’s eligibility issues, Boehlert wrote the following article on July 27, 2009.

“How Lou Dobbs scared Rush Limbaugh off the birther story”

“I can think of three (inadvertent) positives that came out of Lou Dobbs’ ill-advised embrace of the birther movement:

1) The CNN host has permanently tarnished his reputation
2) The birther movement is officially kaput (like, stick-a-fork-in-it done)
3) Rush Limbaugh is afraid to talk about birthers.

Talk about a win-win-win.

It’s true that Dobbs irresponsibly mainstreamed radical right-fringe players by championing their half-baked claims that Barack Obama isn’t a natural born citizen and is ineligible to serve as president of the United States. Dobbs, at least indirectly, lent the birther movement some fleeting credence as he dragged its misbegotten detective work into the spotlight. And it’s still vitally important to monitor Dobbs and call out CNN management for its dreadful hypocrisy on the birther issue (i.e. The story is “dead” but it’s OK for Dobbs to keep flogging it on national TV).”

Citizen Wells response

Eric Boehlert, prepare to become the “deer in the headlights.” Caution, you are about to be confused by the facts.

Eric Boehlert, I refer you to the question above. Do you have an answer? For a moment you must drop your modus operandi of attack mode and insults. This is not about plaintiff attorneys, court case merits, judge’s decisions or your elitist beliefs that anyone questioning Obama is not educated or informed.

This is about Barack Obama spending lots of somebody’s money and employing legions of private and government attorneys to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records.

Mr. Boehlert, I have read other articles you have written. You clearly have a pro Obama agenda.

Here are some more exerpts from the Boehlert article, written in typical Obama camp fashion, heavy on attacks and light on facts. Place these paragraphs in Orwell’s book “1984″ and they would seamlesly fit in. Instead of the two minute hate directed at OBrien in “1984″ Boehlert goes after Limbaugh, Dobbs and concerned Americans.

“Of course, it’s always dangerous when hateful and cuckoo conspiracy theories are ushered into the mainstream and right-wing critics are given a platform to peddle their hateful whodunits about Obama’s nationality the way Dobbs did. But, in this case, I almost think it was worth running that risk in order to watch the tidal wave of media disapproval that Dobbs’ fearmongering unleashed.

Because in retrospect, the birthers, who had spent months lurking on the sidelines, needed to be called out on national TV; they needed to be ridiculed mercilessly and have their cheerleaders thoroughly mocked. They needed to be turned into the butt of a joke, and thanks to Lou Dobbs, last week they were.”

“Think about it, without Dobbs suddenly out front leading the stragglers who make the birther parade, do you think NBC would have devoted four minutes of its Nightly News to thoroughly debunk the story? I doubt it. And that’s why I think everyone now owes Dobbs a hearty round of applause. Because let’s face it, he did in one week what nobody else had been able to do during the previous 51: put an end to the birther movement.

And while we’re patting Dobbs on the back, I’m pretty sure Dobbs scared Limbaugh off the birther story — or, more precisely, the pummeling Dobbs received scared Limbaugh off the birther story. And that’s a big deal within the Republican Noise Machine. Birthers had been courting Limbaugh for months and cheered in June when the turbo talker at least made a birther joke on the air: “Barack Obama has one thing in common with God. Do you know what it is? God does not have a birth certificate either.””

Orson Welles’ oscar for Citizen Kane has just been sold.

From The LA Times December 22, 2011.

“The Academy Award statuette that Orson Welles won for the original screenplay of “Citizen Kane” was auctioned for more than $861,000 in Los Angeles.

The 1942 Oscar was thought to be lost for decades. It surfaced in 1994 when cinematographer Gary Graver tried to sell it. The sale was stopped by Beatrice Welles, Orson’s youngest daughter and sole heir.

Welles, who wrote the screenplay for “Citizen Kane” with Herman Mankiewicz, also directed and starred in the film, considered by most critics to be one of the best of all time.

Nate D. Sanders Auctions declined to release the name of the winning bidder.”

But that is not the big story.

Hearst was quoted as saying “you can crush a man with journalism.”

We now know that you can protect a man with journalism.

From PBS.
“It was a clash of the titans. William Randolph Hearst, the lord and ruler of San Simeon. And Orson Welles, the ambitious young man with a golden touch, who
set out to dethrone him. It was a fight from which neither man ever fully recovered.

Long before Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane was released in 1941, there was a buzz about the movie and the “boy genius” who made it. At a preview screening,
nearly everyone present realized that they had seen a work of brilliance–except Hedda Hopper, the leading gossip columnist of the day. She hated the movie,
calling it “a vicious and irresponsible attack on a great man.”

Citizen Kane was a brutal portrait of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. When Hearst learned through Hopper of Welles’ film, he set out to protect his reputation by shutting the film down. Hollywood executives, led by Louis B. Mayer, rallied around Hearst, attempting to buy Citizen Kane in order to burn the negative. At the same time, Hearst’s defenders moved to intimidate exhibitors into refusing to show the movie. Threats of blackmail, smears in the
newspapers, and FBI investigations were used in the effort.

Hearst’s campaign was largely successful. It would be nearly a quarter-century before Citizen Kane was revived–before Welles would gain popular recognition
for having created one of cinema’s great masterpieces.

“Hearst and Welles were proud, gifted, and destructive–geniuses each in his way,” says producer Thomas Lennon. “The fight that ruined them both was
thoroughly in character with how they’d lived their lives.”

Orson Welles was just twenty-four when he took aim at William Randolph Hearst. The brash upstart was well on his way to claiming Hollywood as his own. A few years earlier, his infamous radio broadcast, War of the Worlds, had terrified listeners and won him the sweetest contract Hollywood had ever seen. With a reputation as a gifted radio and theater director, Welles’ arrogance was founded on a track record of success and a lifetime of encouragement.

“Everybody told me from the moment I could hear that I was absolutely marvelous,” Welles once told an interviewer.

Hearst was a 76-year-old newspaper magnate whose daring and single-mindedness had made him a publishing legend. The son of a wealthy mine owner, he too had been raised to believe he could have everything. He built his empire selling newspapers filled with entertaining stories that were often scandalous and, occasionally, pure fiction.

“We had a crime story that was going to be featured in a 96-point headline on page one,” remembers Vern Whaley, an editor for Hearst’s Herald-Examiner. “When I found the address that was in the story, that address was a vacant lot. So I hollered over at the rewrite desk, I said, ‘You got the wrong address in this
story. This is a vacant lot.’ The copy chief that night was a guy named Vic Barnes. And he says, ‘Sit down, Vern.’ He says, ‘The whole story’s a fake.’”

Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., remembers his father asking Hearst why he preferred concentrating on newspapers, with their limited, regional appeal, rather than
spending more energy on motion pictures and their worldwide audience. Fairbanks recalls Hearst’s reply: “I thought of it, but I decided against it. Because you can crush a man with journalism, and you can’t with motion pictures.”

Hearst began his empire with one small newspaper in San Francisco, then expanded to New York where, with flair and daring, he created the top selling of the city’s fourteen newspapers. But he always wanted more, and eventually he controlled the first nationwide chain–with papers in Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, and Atlanta. Soon, an estimated one in five Americans was reading a Hearst paper every week.
Hearst’s urge to acquire extended to art objects, mansions, and women. He owned eight homes, each stocked with priceless antiques and works of art, but spent most of his time in his California castle. Called San Simeon, the estate was on a piece of property nearly half the size of Rhode Island. George Bernard Shaw
commented, “San Simeon was the place God would have built–if he had the money.” Hearst’s companion was Marion Davies, a showgirl whom he loved and propelled into Hollywood movies. Together they entertained Hollywood’s biggest, best, and brightest; San Simeon became a social mecca for the stars.

Marion Davies was widely liked in Hollywood: straightforward, full of humor and charm. The battle over Citizen Kane was in large part a fight over her honor:
It was said that Welles’s treatment of Davies riled Hearst more than any other aspect of the film. Even Welles agreed that Susan Alexander, the Davies
character, was unfair:

“We had somebody very different in the place of Marion Davies. And it seemed to me to be something of a dirty trick, and does still strike me as being
something of a dirty trick, what we did to her. And I anticipated the trouble from Hearst for that reason.”

Never one to shy away from trouble, Welles built his career on a streak of controversial productions–the more upset and swirl he could create, the better.
His production of Macbeth was set in Haiti and employed an all-black cast…his Julius Caesar was reimagined as a contemporary drama about facism…and
finally, his radio staging of War of the Worlds, about Martians invading Earth, caused so much terror and uproar it might have ended his career. But his
talent and ferocious energy seemed to lift him above the fray, delivering him unscathed to his next challenge. When he graced the cover of Time magazine, he
was only twenty-three years old.

Welles was the talk of Hollywood when he arrived. His contract demanded two films, but Welles demanded they be revolutionary. He cast about for months for a project, presenting two ideas to the studio, neither of which went into production. With the pressure mounting, Welles was desperate. “He did a lot of
drinking,” says Bill Alland, Welles’ longtime associate. “He did a lot of chasing around. But he also did a lot of work.” When Herman Mankiewicz, a Hollywood
writer and friend of Welles who had been a guest at San Simeon, proposed the story of Hearst, Welles seized on the idea as his last best chance.

Producer John Houseman, who worked with Mankiewicz on the Citizen Kane script, recalls the creation and evolution of Charles Foster Kane, the character
modeled on Hearst, which Welles himself would play. “We were creating a vehicle suited to a man who, at twenty-four, was only slightly less fabulous than the hero he would be portraying. And the deeper we penetrated into the heart of Charles Foster Kane, the closer we seemed to come to the identity of Orson
Welles.”

But in the course of making Citizen Kane, Welles’ huge ego and his youth would blind him to the extent of Hearst’s power and reach; he tragically
underestimated Hearst’s ability to counterattack.

Indeed, Welles proved no match for the old man. Hearst threatened to expose long-buried Hollywood scandals his newspapers had suppressed at the request of the studios. His papers used Welles’ private life against him, making blunt references to communism and questioning Welles’ willingness to fight for his
country. Major theater chains refused to carry Citizen Kane. Hearst’s campaign to discredit Welles was ruthless, skillful, and much aided by Welles himself,
who had never bothered to hide his contempt for Hollywood. When Welles’ name and his film were mentioned at the 1942 Academy Awards, they were booed.
Nominated for nine awards, Citizen Kane lost in every category except one. (Welles shared the award for best screenplay with Herman Mankiewicz.) After the Academy’s repudiation of Citizen Kane, RKO quietly retired the film to its vault.

Citizen Kane was an American saga about a giant who brings ruin to all, including himself. As fate would have it, it is through this film that both men are
remembered today. In telling the tale of these two flawed and fascinating men, The Battle over Citizen Kane also sheds light on the masterpiece over which
they fought, the fiction that fuses them both: the enduring film character of Charles Foster Kane.”

From a Film Site review.

“The fresh, sophisticated, and classic masterpiece, Citizen Kane (1941), is probably the world’s most famous and highly-rated film, with its many remarkable scenes and performances, cinematic and narrative techniques and experimental innovations (in photography, editing, and sound). Its director, star, and producer were all the same genius individual – Orson Welles (in his film debut at age 25!), who collaborated with Herman J. Mankiewicz on the script (and also with an uncredited John Houseman), and with Gregg Toland as his talented cinematographer. [The amount of each person's contributions to the screenplay has been the subject of great debate over many decades.] Toland’s camera work on Karl Freund’s expressionistic horror film Mad Love (1935) exerted a profound influence on this film.

The film, budgeted at $800,000, received unanimous critical praise even at the time of its release, although it was not a commercial success (partly due to
its limited distribution and delayed release by RKO due to pressure exerted by famous publisher W.R. Hearst) – until it was re-released after World War II,
found well-deserved (but delayed) recognition in Europe, and then played on television.

The film engendered controversy (and efforts at suppression in early 1941 and efforts at suppression in early 1941 through intimidation, blackmail, newspaper
smears, discrediting and FBI investigations) before it premiered in New York City on May 1, 1941, because it appeared to fictionalize and caricaturize
certain events and individuals in the life of William Randolph Hearst – a powerful newspaper magnate and publisher. The film was accused of drawing
remarkable, unflattering, and uncomplimentary parallels (especially in regards to the Susan Alexander Kane character) to real-life. The notorious battle was
detailed in Thomas Lennon’s and Michael Epstein’s Oscar-nominated documentary The Battle Over Citizen Kane (1996), and it was retold in HBO’s cable-TV film RKO 281 (1999) (the film’s title refers to the project numbering for the film by the studio, before the film was formally titled):”

“In a memorable scene, Kane responds in a manner counter to Thatcher’s wishes, interested in taking charge of only one small part of his holdings:

Sorry but I’m not interested in gold mines, oil wells, shipping or real estate…One item on your list intrigues me, the New York Inquirer, a little newspaper I understand we acquired in a foreclosure proceeding. Please don’t sell it. I’m coming back to America to take charge. I think it would be fun to run a newspaper. I think it would be fun to run a newspaper. Grrr.

Soon, Kane uses the paper to attack trusts, Thatcher and others among America’s financial elite. Headlines of the Inquirer blare out the expose in a montage of early Inquirer newspaper headlines: “TRACTION TRUST EXPOSED,” “TRACTION TRUST BLEEDS PUBLIC WHITE,” and “TRACTION TRUST SMASHED BY INQUIRER.” Other social causes are heralded by the paper: “LANDLORDS REFUSE TO CLEAR SLUMS!!,” and “INQUIRER WINS SLUM FIGHT.” The paper also attacks capitalistic Wall Street itself: “WALL STREET BACKS COPPER SWINDLE!!” and “COPPER ROBBERS INDICTED!”

Thatcher is enraged and indignantly confronts the young publisher in the Inquirer office about his newspaper’s criticism of banks, privilege and corruption.
Kane is seated at his desk facing the camera and sipping coffee as Thatcher stands over him with his back to the camera asking: “Is that really your idea of
how to run a newspaper?” Arrogantly but with a soft-spoken voice, Kane replies:

I don’t know how to run a newspaper, Mr. Thatcher. I just try everything I can think of.

Thatcher explodes at him, accusing him of following a radical policy at the paper of concocting stories: “You know perfectly well there’s not the slightest
proof that this Armada is off the Jersey coast.” Kane is informed by his assistant Bernstein (Everett Sloane) that a correspondent named Wheeler in Cuba has
sent a communique: “Girls delightful in Cuba stop. Could send you prose poems about scenery but don’t feel right spending your money stop. There is no war in
Cuba. Signed, Wheeler.” Kane calmly tells his assistant to answer the war correspondent [a dictation that echoes one of William Randolph Heart's most famous quotes in the yellow press to artist Frederic Remington regarding the 1896 Spanish-American War]: “…you provide the prose poems, I’ll provide the war.”

Soon, Thatcher sits down and Kane explains how he is really “two people” – he is both a major stockholder in the Public Transit (he owns “eighty-two thousand, three hundred and sixty-four shares of Public Transit Preferred”), a trust he is attacking, and also the dutiful publisher of a newspaper representing the interests of the public against the trust. Kane stands up by the end of the scene, towering over Thatcher, explaining:

The trouble is, you don’t realize you’re talking to two people. As Charles Foster Kane, who has 82,634 shares of Public Transit Preferred. You see, I do have
a general idea of my holdings. I sympathize with you. Charles Foster Kane is a scoundrel. His paper should be run out of town. A committee should be formed
to boycott him. You may, if you can form such a committee, put me down for a contribution of $1,000 dollars. On the other hand, I am the publisher of the
Inquirer! As such, it’s my duty – and I’ll let you in on a little secret, it’s also my pleasure – to see to it that decent, hard-working people in this community aren’t robbed blind by a pack of money-mad pirates just because – they haven’t anybody to look after their interests.”

Herman Cain receptionist disputes allegations, Eva Vachal, Godfather’s Pizza, Never once, she says, did a woman raise an eyebrow about Cain’s conduct

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed
–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

From the National Review November 22, 2011.

“Cain and Women
A former receptionist comes forward to dispute the allegations.”

“In 1983, Eva Vachal, then 24 years old, was hired by Godfather’s Pizza. She began in the information-technology department. By 1986, when Herman Cain became president of the company, she was the corporate receptionist.

For the next decade — Cain’s entire tenure at the Omaha-based firm — she continued in that position, answering phones and assisting executives with various projects.

Vachal worked closely with Cain. They became friends. When he was profiled by Ebony magazine in April 1988, she was featured in the spread, chatting with Cain from her desk.

She was close with other young women in the office, especially the assistants to Cain and the rest of the Godfather’s brass. They frequently huddled over lunch and coffee, discussing, among other things, their bosses, including the company’s gregarious chief executive.

And never once, she says, did a woman raise an eyebrow about Cain’s conduct. In fact, in an interview with National Review Online, Vachal says that during her entire career at Godfather’s Pizza, she never heard about any improper conduct, harassment, or inappropriate behavior by Cain, even in the form of water-cooler gossip. “Believe me, receptionists know everything,” she says. “They see everything.”

After watching Cain work closely with young women for years, Vachal says she was shocked to learn of the sexual-harassment claims made by former Cain associates at the National Restaurant Association, the organization Cain led after he left Godfather’s Pizza.

The allegations have rocked Cain’s presidential campaign. With numerous allegations hovering over the candidate, many political observers have wondered whether Cain is a viable contender.

Vachal says she is speaking out because she does not believe Cain’s accusers. She also wants to shed a little light on his personality, to help voters understand who he is. She notes that she has not been in communication with the campaign or with Cain.

As she sees it, Cain was likely misinterpreted by the women who received settlements. At Godfather’s Pizza, within the executive suite, he was always a professional, she says. But he did enjoy complimenting staffers, be it on their work or on their sharp outfits.”

““Nobody ever came to me and complained about him,” she says. “And trust me, they would have. We talked. There was nothing like what you see on Sex and the City, or those other shows. We were pretty boring in Omaha, Nebraska.”

“Women, especially then, had a lot to deal with in corporate America,” she says. “I knew of other things that went on, but there was never anything with him.”

“He was a true gentleman, always.””

“Why haven’t we heard this on the news?”

My response:

Because we have a biased, leftist media that follows the mantra “The end justifies the means.”

The same media that promoted and protected Barack Obama.
