“Both sides say turnout will be key in a race that could decide the fate of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul. Obama campaigned Sunday for Democrat Martha Coakley.”

“BOSTON – Democrats and Republicans ramped up election eve get-out-the-vote efforts in their close battle for a Massachusetts Senate seat that could decide the fate of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul and the rest of his agenda at the opening of the 2010 midterm campaign season.

Obama needs newly embattled Martha Coakley to win Tuesday’s special election for the late Edward Kennedy’s Senate seat and deny Republicans the ability to block his initiatives with a 41st filibuster-sustaining GOP vote.

The president campaigned here Sunday with Coakley, who has seen the double-digit lead she had two weeks ago evaporate under a strong challenge by Republican state Sen. Scott Brown.

Voter turnout is normally low in special elections, but even in staunchly Democratic Massachusetts, apprehension about Obama’s health care overhaul is fueling a huge wave of populist support for Brown.

Polls show that independents, who make up 51 percent of the state’s electorate, have responded enthusiastically to Brown. His campaign is targeting them as well Republicans, who are outnumbered by Democrats 3-to-1 in the Bay State.”

“Voter Enthusiasm a Problem for Coakley, Polls Suggest”

“A new poll out of Public Policy Polling on Monday underscored the depth of Coakley’s challenge. 

The poll showed Brown leading 51-46 overall, 64-32 among independents and winning 20 percent of the vote from those who backed Obama in 2008. On the flip side, the survey showed Coakley pulling just 4 percent of the vote from those who backed John McCain, in the 2008 presidential race. 

And the poll reflected the enthusiasm gap from which Coakley suffers. Eighty percent of Brown supporters said they were “very excited” about Tuesday’s election, while only 60 percent of Coakley supporters felt the same way.”

According to an American Research Group survey, 52 percent of likely voters back Brown, a state senator, with 45 percent supporting Coakley, the state’s attorney general. Meanwhile, 2 percent back Joseph Kennedy, a third party candidate who is not related to the late senator. The 7-point advantage for Brown is just within the poll’s sampling error.”

  8. This idea is floating around to help prevent voting fraud but it’s probably too late to be implemented it the Massachusetts election. It may not even be necessary if there is a landslide as some predict.

    We all know the voting machines can be manipulated. On election day we are required to sign the voters’ list at the polls. Right next to your signature write something like “I’m voting for Scott Brown” or “voted S B”. Then initial it in your own handwriting. If everyone does this, a paper trail remains that can dispute voting machine errors. This would be done voluntarily, of course. What are your thoughts on this suggestion? Is it legal?

    also many citizens in many states filed complaints to A/G’S in applicable states from the forms jbjd has on her web-site. How can jbjd get A/G’s to do their jobs? I don’t know. The ball is in the A/G’s court. My state of Florida is not applicable so being the bad girl I am-due to growing up in Chicago, knowing that cesspool of corruption that birthed Obama. I e-mailed jbjd’s
    3 Card Monte and Out of the Mouth of Babes to Lt Col Allen West who is running in my district here in Florida. Will it have an effect? I don’t know, but they can’t say any of them-that they weren’t made aware of these issues.

    About 501 (c)(3) status, yes, he’s absolutely correct. Donors, amounts pledged and demo info is not public information. I believe it would take a court order of some sort to open up a c3′s books. Not even GuideStar or some of the other nonprofit engines out there provide said detail.

Got right in, but even on my laptop, it wouldn’t work from home. However, on Friday, I had written to Tech Support on my ISP and told them to clear their cache, and I guess they did. Now it works!

  35. Prairie – it took me the longest time to wrap my head around all Story write’s AND to believe it. I have found a second source that states much of the same things Story has been writing about and he’s from Canada. Marsden touches on a lot of it as does Alex Jones. But none to the forthright extent Story does.

    If this all turns out to be true or when the truth is finally revealed by second and third sources, all I would be able to say is WOW!     I agree 100% that where the law is concerned, it is often necessary to dIagram the laws in order for many people to comprehend what exactly is being stated by the law. In so doing the person DOING THE LEGAL INTERPRETATION can be perceived as being overly zealous, OR ABRASIVE to such a degree as to be either taken out of context, or thought to be ridiculing someone or even supporting sombody unjustly. The explanation of certain laws can be a dangerous effort if those who are hearing it are not used to hearing such legal positions. This is one reason why such explanations should not be so expanded as to create many pages. I think that JBJD is accustomed to discussing intricate legal issues in the language of the courts. While JBJD often ventured to put some of the explanation into lay language most was not, and therefore it was looked upon as an offense rather than JBJD being JBJD. I am not a lawyer either, but through my working life I was directly involved working with CONTRACT language. In reading it there is a possibility that it would sound offensive when in reality this is just very specific language of contracts verbal structure being read, or otherwise discussed. This gets really hairy when dealing with the DOD. Some US Government contracts very often have over 100 pages where every aspect of the contract is described, as are many conditions which are specific to the administration of the contract. So, in boiling all of this down again to lay language IT IS VERY EASY FOR ANYONE TO THINK THAT THE PERSON DISCUSSING THE CONTRACT LANGUAGE IS BEING ABRASIVE TOWARD THE PERSONS WHO ARE EITHER LISTENING, OR READING A TEXTUAL RENDITION.

  55. Voting Fraud.

    From my experience they won’t let you write on the list PLUS it would be unconstitutional to identfy on voter list who you voted for.

    BUT as volunteers if we had two people outside just keeping a tally with counters one for Rep the other for Dems.

    Most important is having people film the whole time the polls are open and keep track of who goes in and out. Eventually this can be used as evidence by using computer programs that have face recognization software and see if anyone showed up twice at that polling precinct or any other all over the state.

    Thsi will keep them honest….knowing they would be on videotape. It can also be done with a pic of every person coming out and then entering them in a database to see if there is any duplication.

    Eventually we need to use fingerprint or iris recognition for anyone showing up to vote. Just to make sure the person showing up is the person registered.

    This would have to be well organized way ahead of time and get approval as voting monitors, etc.

    I doubt we can get it up and running for tomorrow. BUt we need to work on this for the next national election

    I am NOT SO SURE that it is legal to make any penned notations on a voting ballot. It would seem that any such side notations could be translated as attempts to cause confusion, or inaccuracy in the count of the overall ballots, and for that reason alone thrown out. All I am saying is that it would be dangerous at best. In all probability it would be smart to research such action before doing it. With electronic balloting such sidenotes probably could not be made anyway.

    “You know, folks ask me sometimes why I look so calm,” Obama told several hundred worshippers from the pulpit of Washington’s Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, where slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr once delivered a sermon.

    The US leader is famous of his aura of unflappability in the face of crisis, but he acknowledged that there are sometimes roiling emotions beneath the surface.

    “I have a confession to make. There are times when I’m not so calm. My wife knows. There are times when progress seems too slow. There are times when the words that are spoken about me hurt. There are times when the barbs sting. There are times when it feels like all these efforts are for naught,” he added.

    “Change is so painfully slow in coming. And I have to confront my own doubts.”

    But the president said it was his faith that gave him inner calm and peace and urged congregants at the church to find solace in theirs.

    “So let us hold fast to that faith,” Obama urged the congregation.

    “Together, we shall overcome the challenges of the new age. Together, we shall seize the promise of this moment. Together, we shall make a way through the winter. And we’re going to welcome the spring.”

    Obama, the nation’s first African-American president, spoke on the eve of the Martin Luther King Jr holiday. During the service, where his two daughters and his wife joined him, he nodded his head and tapped his feet as the choir sang.

    Reverend Cornelius Wheeler said the church had already sent 2,500 dollars in aid to quake-devastated Haiti.

    The massive hope and goodwill that greeted Obama’s historic inauguration have partly evaporated, with the change he promised neither as fast nor as sweeping as had been expected in the face of challenging times.

    Despite some successes, Obama now confronts a thicket of domestic and foreign challenges, among them a ballooning deficit, 10 percent unemployment, approval ratings tipping below 50 percent, revived fears of Al-Qaeda airborne terror and an emboldened insurgency in Afghanistan.

    Meanwhile, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino (D) was also taking advantage of a Sunday church service to make a speech about (you guessed it) President Obama. Under the guise of supporting Candidate Coakley at a morning prayer service that was supposed to be for victims of the Haiti earthquake, Mr. Menino told the congregation, “A lot of people don’t want Barack Obama to succeed, and that’s who we’re fighting against. They don’t want him to be a president that leads this country. They want him to be a president who fails.” (source)

    Actually what most people want is for his proposed policies to fail to become law, Mr. Mayor. You shouldn’t lie like that, especially in church. But I can understand how tough it must be to remember you’re in a church when it becomes a place to sing the praises of Barack Obama and his political machine instead of a place to praise God.

    For the sake of preventing voting fraud maybe a space could be allocated on the voters’ list so voters can voluntarily indicate their choice for a candidate. However, I can foresee problems if their are multiple races on a ballot.

    I’ll go along with inking the thumb and leaving a smudged thumbprint like they did in Iraq. Your inky thumb would guarantee that you can only vote once.

    I’m sure the ACLU and others would object to that. But if the fingerprint is smudged and can’t be used for identification purposes, that might address any privacy issues.

    The electronic voting machines can NOT be trusted. We must have a paper trail indication of our vote. Any other ideas out there? Are exit polls our only safeguard?

    Your vote is supposed to be secret when it is marked on the voter list next to your name who you voted for it is no longer secret. Who will have access to that list later and see your name and who you voted for, etc.

In other words, Obama must be ineligible in order for any alleged fraud to be actionable. If he is eligible, then it doesn’t matter that the DNC failed to vet him (legally speaking).     Voting fraud is a real sore spot with me. Sure It’s important that every American has the right to vote but when an individual votes twice or three times or more, and their vote opposes mine, then my vote is blotted out and I become somewhat disenfranchised.

    I thought she spoke very well, very clear and concise, and I am proud of the work she is

    I’m back from The Big City. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

    I survived yet another few hours inside a tiny tube with my head in a device that looked like it was right out of ‘Silence of the Lambs.’

    Appt. is in February for the results, but I’ll try to move that up because I need to know.

    On the campaign trail to Beantown, I saw a lot of home made Scott signs on the way, and only lonely Maatha sign. As with the other one I saw, this one was on the side of the road in the snow on property owned by no one.

    I had to laugh at what I saw on Commonwealth Ave. in Boston (a very busy thoroughfare) on my way back. There was a guy in a pickup truck beside me with a sunroof, out of which protruded a huge 5′ X 7′ American flag. Add to that, Scott Brown signs and stickers all over the truck; I couldn’t even tell you what color his truck was supposed to be. We tooted at each other and gave a thumbs-up.

    The MRI staff is in the bag for Scott, as were most of the folks I talked to in the ‘holding cell.’ Those who weren’t for Scott didn’t speak English and had no idea what I was talking about….

    My plow guy and his girlfriend just came, and they’re on board.

    I really do wish I could talk to one of Maatha’s supporters so that we could have a nice chat, but I can’t find one.

    There are no fingernails left, so I’m munching on the pets’ treats….seed sticks. Very crunchy!

    There are people in the country who do not know this is happening – I know that’s hard to believe. In fact, I was emailing with my SIL in Houston yesterday. She is normally very politically aware. I asked her, “Wouldn’t it be great if Brown won in MA?” She replied “What’s going on in MA?”

I can tell you that my doctor wanted to do an MRI on me, test me for MS due to numbness in my hands and face along with some other symptoms. I did not do the MRI but magnesium supplements instead. Over one month now and not a tingle. (no Chris Matthews joke intended). Just a thought to help with some symptoms- h*ll, it was here at CW everyone was talking about the wonders of magnesium.

    Yes, I do know about magnesium and what the lack of it can do; I plan to add that to my daily regimen shortly.

    Unfortunately, my prior brain MRIs tell a different story; it’s not simply the matter of the deficiency of a vitamin or mineral. Since MS is a slow mover, it takes a long time to diagnose thus, the repeat MRI today.

    There is a new study being done at the University of Buffalo, which dovetails on the work of an Italian researcher, Dr. Zamboni. He found MS to be a *vascular* problem, rather than an autoimmune disorder. In each patient he studied, there was excess iron which clogged up the veins/arteries. A simple surgery (like an angioplasty) was all that was needed to rid the circulatory system of the iron. In his small sample in Italy, not one person showed any indication of MS after the procedure including his wife, who was the reason for his research.

    The Buffalo study has 1700 eager participants, so we wait for the results; it may be a few years.

    Will pick up some magnesium this weekend; won’t hurt, could help!

    I saw soldiers from 22 nd Airborne in Haiti last night. They were so cool. They liked driving down the streets of Haiti, not having to worry about any IED’s-they had recently left the War Zone. In with our troops was a soldier NBC but of Haitian extraction. The Haitians were so happy to see her and they could speak to one another. Her parents probably told her about Haiti, but she had no idea what the country was like-she looked like she was between 18-22. She didn’t mention which state she was born in.
    Everyone happy to help, and the Haitian people are so thankful. Haiti will be on our local news for a long time.

    A Haitian lady was on the news-she has one of the adoptive babies on hold due to Earthquake. She is now dreading answering the phone so far 15 family members known dead. South Florida team (Frank McKinney) and local news channel, linked up with teams from other countries and were able to rescue some more people. The people of Haiti told our reporter to tell the American people thank you for the food and the help. They are so grateful. As bad as it is, slowly it is starting to get better.

    I’m sorry if I was not clear. I only used the 3rd Mobile as an example. There are many of those types of units. I was assigned to the 3rd Mobile for a time is why I mentioned them. I just meant that there are ways to get supplies out to the remote areas if they would.

    Gardner and Fitchburg are in North Central MA, and their populations are approximately 21,000, and 41,000, respectively.

    Peabody is in Northeast MA (right next door to Salem…’Witch City’) and its population is approximately 50,000.

    I’m sure that the population will change with the next census, but that’s what we have right now.

    At our polling place we must sign our name in the space on the list next to our printed name and address. So I agree, that could be a problem since other voters who vote after me would see whom I voted for and somehow that might influence their vote. Either they love ma and will follow suit or they hate me and will vote for the opposing candidate!

    All kidding aside, I get it. Not a good idea but I’d still like to see some kind of “hard copy” of our votes just to provide proof. We can not trust electronic voting machines.

Well, he’s being ripped apart by people for suggesting that people donate to his charity. Some in the media are suggesting that the administrative costs of charity going through Wyclef Jean’s company or outfit may be a little bit high and the net sum that will end up getting to the recipients is not what it should be, and I’m stunned at this. What about the administrative costs of donating through WhiteHouse.gov, for crying out loud? Do you know that one of the reasons the welfare budget is as high as it is — and these numbers are I guess ten years old, but in 1999, maybe earlier than that, for every dollar that was budgeted for welfare or food stamps, AFDC, whatever it is, 28 cents of it was spent on administering it, so 72 cents out of every dollar got there. I mean the high administrative costs are actually when you donate through the government. I don’t know of a president ever who has asked people to donate to a relief effort through a White House website. It’s never happened before.

    By definition, everything the president of the United States does is political. They even put out from the White House over the weekend, Lynn Sweet at the Chicago Sun-Times, I printed it out, it’s three-and-a-half pages: “Obama on the Haiti Earthquake Crisis: Behind-the-Scenes — The Obama White House is taking the unusual step of pro-actively providing a heavy amount of on-the-record details of how President Obama is handling the aftermath of the horrific earthquake in Haiti. On Friday, the White House released a minute-by-minute account of events.” From Tuesday, January 12th, all the way through Friday, January 15th, it takes two-and-a-half pages and the tiniest font size I’ve ever seen to go through it.

    “Tuesday, January 12th, 5:52 p.m.: The President is informed of the earthquake at 5:52 p.m. The President asks his staff to make sure that embassy personnel are safe, and to begin preparations in the event that humanitarian assistance is needed. The Department of State, USAID and the United States Southern Command begin working to coordinate an assessment and any such assistance. 8:30 p.m.: The President receives another update on the situation…” It goes on and on like this for four days. The whole point of this is to show exactly how on the money here and paying attention Obama is, as contrasted to President Bush in Katrina. Now, this disaster in Haiti is worse than anything that ever happened in New Orleans. It’s just an absolute disaster. The aid finally starting to trickle in now after about six days, but it’s still very, very slow. The situation on the ground is unimaginable. I don’t even want to describe to you the things that I have read with the vermin, the rats, I don’t even want to go there. This is just unbelievable. It’s unimaginable and for anybody to report that I said don’t donate is absurd, and these people know it. The people who are making a big deal out of this, are themselves politicizing this for the express purpose of discrediting me, somebody they feel is a top-line conservative spokesman.

    They are constantly trying to discredit people like me, rather than debate us on issues. Nobody here ever said don’t donate. We just pointed out you already contribute to the government with your income taxes. If you want to donate above and beyond that, go through a charity that’s constantly on the ground in Haiti, or the Red Cross, if you want to go that route or whatever. Nobody said do not donate, which is what is being reported. I’ve had so many e-mails over the weekend: “Rush, the press is castigating you unfairly. You know what you ought to do Rush? You ought to donate a million-dollars, make it public or you ought to ask all the liberal media to ask what they individually have donated and then promise to double it. It would probably cost you 20 bucks.” That was the funniest one I’ve seen. today…you can read the rest at his site.

    Everyone has a right to their opinion, but my husband and I don’t get Rush as being negative at all, period. He’s not telling people not to give, it’s just that he’s making the case that we are all already giving and have for many years with lots of our tax dollars.

    So what does this mean, Maddie? Think about it, if a ton of our tax dollars are going to them already, then why isn’t it helping them? You have to put your thinking cap on when it comes to tax dollars/liberals.

    Shouldn’t you know that you’ve been paying for help with the Haiti people for years? I would think so. Then look at their form of government over there: oppressive, no hope, fatcats spend the money themselves, don’t help the people, period.

    So let me ask you, Maddie, why is Rush being negative? I think that he’s being extremely truthful.

    Regardless, he’s not telling people not to give. Heavens, he’s probably given to them himself knowing Rush, because for one thing, Rush is a big giver who does have an open heart.

    I personally will not tell about my giving if I can help it. It depends on who you want your reward from; meaning from mankind or from Yahweh. Yahweh loves a secret giver.

    Jonah, I believe it. We used to drink it and my husband started having severe panic attacks, to where the doctor sent him to a neurologist. The neuro doc did Parkinson’s tests, etc., had an MRI done to see if he had a tumor, but we both, my husband and I by accident, that the severe panic attacks and headaches (too) turned out to be from Diet Coke. No joke! It was making him extremely ill. He had a headache for like two months straight too on top of that. Not a migraine, but a headache that would not go away.

  323. Maddie, I disagree about Rush. If the gov’t could solve the worlds problems by everyone giving them money, they would be solved by now beacause we ALL give them money. Actually no, they confiscate our money from us. They don’t have the “right” to, but they do have the “power” to.

    I understand and respect your feelings about the imortance of gov’t. But for me, the gov will never be something I put my trust in, but rather the good hearts of people and private charities. All the gov’t needs is to clear the path for good people to do their good deeds and protect our freedom, which of course is why we need a military.

    Nothing the gov’t does, I don’t care who it is that’s flying jets over and getting pictures taken impresses me in the least.

    I disagree that if things were done under the philosphy that Rush has that the world would be a worse place. On the contrary, it would be a better place.

    lives. I hope that continues, especially now.
    I don’t have a problem with our country

    Yup, I’m aware of it, but rarely, if ever, drink it.

    My Dad worked for Coke for nearly 40 years so there was always fizzy stuff in the house, but I never drank a lot of it.

    Kitty has already told me about how the stuff affected she and her hubby…

    If this is a vascular disease as Dr. Zamboni thinks, all bets are off as to how we’ve looked at it in the past. There is new hope with those clinical studies in Buffalo.

    If it really is an autoimmune disease, I’m looking for the answer in all the *vaccines* I’ve had all my life. I know you’ve probably been following my soapbox speeches on the junk they put in vaccines, so that may be the connection. I’ve over the age limit when this usually hits (20s-30s) so I’m wondering, why now?

    I suppose we’ll have to see how it all shakes out. Thanks for your input!

First off, if anyone has been able to sneak in little issues about it, it’s been Rush, which leads me to believe what I first thought when no one was talking about it on radio, that they were silenced for some reason, yet Rush has managed to sneak in little tidbits about it.

    You will catch him doing this off and on. I know that he’s been silenced, and I think the rest have too. I have thought this from the beginning, and even more so when the article came out from Canada Free Press. When this first happened, I thought, heck, something is really going on. They should be talking about this and they are not. Savage did for a while, but he silenced about it.

    I’m telling you this, I think some of them had their families threatened and would harm them if they talked about it. That’s my honest opinion.

    Yet, Rush has managed to talk some about of it, and I do believe that Rush feels that he may not be eligible. What is it he said today, we need to see BO’s college records, and other stuff, can’t remember? He said something today to that effect. My husband heard him say this today, and he tells me that he periodically sneaks stuff in, little tidbits.

    No doubt in my opinion, Rush has been up on this and studying this for a long time.

    Also, consider, if he and them have been warned not to tell about it, does this mean that they should quit being conservative talk show hosts? Heaven forbid! They can get in other issues that are extremely important that without them, we’d be up you-know-what creek without a paddle. So regardless, they bring other issues forward.

    What do the rest of y’all think? I think many of them have been warned not to talk about this. Also, for Rush to sneak tidbits in about it, shows you that he knows and honestly, he’s not that afraid.

  334. Maddie, you are one my favorites on this blog, however you are wrong about Rush!! He basically was trying to let people know that a donation to the (Obama) Govt. website would never make it to Haiti. He is a giving person and sometimes he rambles, but if you listen to him daily you will understand him. He merely wants the donations to go to the religious aid groups and the red cross. People who have been on the ground there for years and know how to help the people in need and not the government, because they are the most corrupt people in the world. As for blaming people on talk radio, we here in Mississippi and Memphis Area lost our favorite local talk radio host because he was front and center on the Birth Certificate issue and he is very much missed. The air waves of America have nearly been taken over by foreigners and most Conservative Talk Radio Host have been Muzzled, if not they’re fired. While I disagree with that policy, think what it would be like with NO Conservative voice on anything. As for Hillary and Bill, if you would do one half the research on them that you have done on the USURPER, you would change your mind totally. I love you much, but I can’t agree with you on this. THAT BEING SAID ‘GO SCOTT BROWN’

  335. Jonah, yes Aspartame is converted into formaldehyde in the human body, if I read that report correctly. My brother drinks diet soda all day everyday, I told him of the findings about Aspartame and I got the same response I got when I told him he should quit smoking.

  336. Maddie, I believe you. I think where the misunderstanding might be is that I don’t think anyone disagrees that our gov’t certainly should be helping in this endeavor. I think where the misunderstanding is..is that many, as I, believe that with all the money our gov’t rec’s…they should have that place fed, clothed, protected, and rebuilt by now! :) It’s just that gov’t tends to really screw up badly! So many just feel strongly about keeping what money the gov’t doesn’t take from them in private charities who really put their heart and soul into caring for others.

    I think this is an area where Americans can really mis-understand each other. :)

    if I may add, I don’t mean to preach, but feel I am supposed to share this:

    when I am dealing with health issues (small or large) I first remember Jesus took it on for me already, “that by HIS stripes we WERE healed”- there are many other good ones to ‘stand” on in the bible. the dr/tests are just what man has come to figure out so far, they can be useful, but be careful what you claim/decide to own, of their words.

    I see drs and tests as a help, but I do not always believe their diagnosis or take their Rx, since the Word of God trumps people.
    Remember stress does so much to our bodies, also poor eating, sleep and other bad habits. We have so much more control of our health then drs and all their knowledge. They are useful, but not the last word. That is between you and what God tells you about you.

    You sound like you have a good mindset about things, and it’s great to hear you take supplements and seem to be taking care, just remember the importance of sleep, water, exercise, eating Super nutrient rich(for vits and minerals- those are the real building blocks to repair our bodies.)

    I am much more in favor of our govt getting into reminding /educating people about truly eating for high nutrient content and the importance of sleep, exercise, etc over h/c bill-business/ which seems to be about making it easier for people to not take responsibility for years of mistreating our bodies and then look to procedures and things which can be expensive or add more side effects or lessen quality of life during illness.

    Please don’t get me wrong, I do know some of us will in this life, deal with true disease and illness, and I am not trying to minimize those with serious or life time health issues, but many others of us in this country tend to create or play into our illness thru lack of knowledge or by not fully looking at how We are feeding the problem or if we do know we sometimes resist changing bad habits we have. We are told in The Word to do our part in taking care of our vessels, many of us forget that part and just lean on prayer/hope. Everyone Jesus healed he checked their faith first and then gave them an action to take, which meant they had to believe it was possible and be willing to do some thing to help it come to be. And our brain or the devil, or even well meaning family or friends may try to deter us from our firm belief that healing is possible, so we need to have good Word/seeds to sow into our healing for when those moments arise.

    As we know, from Aerie’s brother, healings do happen, some quick and some over time, praise God, HE is able!!!

    Prayers, Praise and Faith, the tools He gave us.

    You and your situation are in my prayers and praise to God, for your faith to be strong as you walk thru this and for His glory continue to shine thru your life to others.

    SOS Hillary Clinton is doing in Haiti. I listened
    to her address with Pres. Rene Preval and the
    French translation of it which was very well
    done as well. SOS Clinton had a question/answer
    period with Dr. Sanja Gupta on the immediate
    needs of the country and the US and International help in the extended future.
    I thought she spoke very well, very clear and concise, and I am proud of the work she is
    doing there and in other countries of the world.
    Her job approval rating last time I heard was
    pretty high 75-80%

    Listening to Rush Limbaugh recently on the Haitian disaster, for example, today, I got the idea that he wasn’t encouraging Americans to
    contribute to this cause. Sighting that our taxes are already paying for some of the US response,
    Limbaugh, to me, appeared to be very negative.
    To use the Haitian earthquake as an excuse to
    continue to attack Democrats in general is not
    acceptable if we are to be ONE nation under God. Limbaugh would rather see American as a nation DEVISABLE.
    If we followed Rush Limbaugh’s on-going negative tenets, we would all be living a very miserable existence. If he really were the mouth piece of the people he would have addressed
    important issues at the onset. He did not.

    Maddie…..I listen to Rush on a daily basis….he is very abrasive but he speaks the truth…..something that is lacking in the media and DC!!!! He is a great Patriot and someone who loves this country……and believe it or not he is a rather humble person…..I heard a military man from Iraq call in today and thank Rush for keeping the home fires burning while he and others are overseas fighting for our freedom….Rush was speechless and thanked the guy from the bottom of his heart!!   360. Excuse me if I step on any toes – I rushed through all the latest posts – as it is almost late for me, here on the left coast od California.

    I just want to way in on Rush. He never asked people not to donate to Haiti. He did suggest that you not donate through the White House (whitehouse.gov) because you are already contributing through your tax dollars – and who knows when contributions go through the red tape of our government – how much money gets to the targeted victims.

    Rush suggested that you send your money to a tried and true charity, preferably one that already has boots on the ground in Haiti. I do not remember if he named a specific group, but he may have named the Red Cross. Today, I gave to Catholic Relief Services because I found positive information in research – and they are already there. And I am not Catholic.

    Rush is not guilty as many in the media have claimed. He basically said that you should not give your precious donation to the Obama administration.

    Hi truefreedom, I did not delve into that blog very far, so I don’t know whose side they are really on (found a link to it from somewhere else). However, I think that their warning is a good one. Be skeptical of people calling and making claims that may or may not be true.
