I wanted to share some news that I witnessed at work late yesterday afternoon so others may keep their eyes/ears open and possibly do some investigation. As far as I’m aware the MSM has not reported it.
As a co-worker and I were in the office, his cell rang and was his youngest son whom had recently joined the U.S. Army, but hasn’t left yet for basic training (He graduates in H.S. in 6 weeks). It was his recruiter, whom informed him that the U.S. Army is NO LONGER paying for college tuition reimbursements – due to the sequester Military cuts! The recruiter also informed him that they are allowing an “Op-out” of contracts and do not have to join if they do not wish because of this. They are informing all of these new recruits of this issue.
The sad thing that upsets him is that he turned down several college scholarships to do it through the Army.

The Constitution itself went into effect in 1789. But trouble making blogger Marcy Wheeler points out that what was missing from the Constitution in 1787 is also quite symbolic: The Bill of Rights, which did not officially go into effect until December 1791 after ratification by states. (Caution: Marcy’s post has some strong language.)
That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.
I guess that’s about all we could expect from Brennan, who converted to ISLAM in Saudi Arabia…..He wouldn’t touch a BIBLE with a ten foot pole.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting on Thursday, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) opposed an amendment to her Assault Weapons Ban legislation that would allow military veterans to continue to buy the firearms that would be banned. Feinstein says a veteran may be mentally ill and should be prevented from purchasing firearms.
SEN. DIANNE FEINSTEIN: If I understand this, this adds an exemption of retired military. As I understand our bill, no issue has arose in this regard during the 10 years the expired ban was in effect and what we did in the other bill was exempt possession by the United States or a department or agency of the United States. So that included active military.
The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this.
So, you know, I would be happy to sit down with you again and see if we could work something out but I think we have to– if you’re going to do this, find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally don’t have access to this kind of weapon.

Recently I read that Brennan strongly affirmed that the CIA doesn’t operate in the USA. Ha!! Maybe not technically, but its influence and the operations it carries on around the world have a decided impact on us all.

I watched History channel’s “The Bible” last night. I had recorded it. Very moving. It brought me to tears when Abraham was about to sacrifice Issac.

Being rather choosy when it comes to screen portrayals of the Bible, I approached it last Sunday will a bit of skepticism but very quickly was inspired and deeply stirred over the message it sends. It is truly done on a grand scale and worthy of praise, imho. Of course, many of the stories have to be left out because of time constraints, but what is presented moved me to tears a number of times, because it is SO refreshing to see God’s Word considered in such high regard by noted producers.
One criticism which has been publicized is that there were things added that are not in the Bible. Of course, most all movies expand on printed text, but I found nothing that would subtract from the Scriptures. After all, the Bible does not elaborate on many details which could have easily happened.
To me it is thrilling and I look forward to tonight’s episode. It will continue on Sun. evenings through Easter. (8 to 10 pm EST)

But if you bear the name “Representative”, and rely upon the law, and boast in Government, and know it’s will, and approve the laws that you pass, being instructed out of THIS VERY SAME LAW, and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the uninformed, a light to the optically impaired, a corrector of the of the politically incorrect, a teacher of those poor Americans who just don’t understand that the rules have changed, and now “good is bad, up is down, right is left”.
You, therefore who teach Americans, do you not teach yourselves? You who preach that one should pay his taxes. Do you pay your fair share? You who say no one should own an AR-15, do you own an AR-15? You who say water boarding is torture, do you go a step furthur and condone killing by drone attacks? You who say marriage is between a man and a woman…….then change your mind, and expect the rest of us to fall in lock step?
